@Mystranna Kelteel

thats definatly logical, but i think they're going to go with a human just because the statue in redemption was a human...

Yeah, a salarian or a human would both be ridiculous concepts as the SB unless the title is passed from person to person over time, and still a human would be laughable (though right on par with BioWare's "humans are the chosen species" theme).

And since I reckon it won't be a female, the asari are out. An elcor or hanar would be too silly, and I imagine a volus might also be hard to take seriously (name any "tough" volus...). A krogan would probably break the mold of their people so that's probably out.
So, what, quarian? Turian? Batarian? Drell? Probably some grizzled turian.

You know....Those would be the "logical" choices and I completely agree...However, why do I suddenly see BioWare pulling a Fallout 3 and making the SB an AI?  Posted Image

Im not going to say HOW I know it's only one person....But let's just say that I am 99.9% POSITIVE (due to my own personal source) that the SB is ONLY ONE PERSON.

thats a nice bluff but u cant have more intell that any one with out an insider at bio HQ and if u do that would put to automatic MOD/GM status so no u only think ur 99.9% +

It is true that ME2 has not been big on "logical" writing.

So, yeah, it really might be a human. I'd laugh my ass off, but it very well might be so.

I wish it was an asari. I'd actually be able to believe that an asari could hold a position like that for a long time and get really good at it, but the SB has been played up with the masculine pronouns for way too long, and I don't see BioWare throwing that off.

Maybe the SB is a Salarian who's kept themselves alive using cybernetics or cloned bodies?

Eh, I don't know about that.  SB is obviously a super-competent person and formidable opponent.  The fact that s/he controls a vast network of underlings and has powerful tools at his/her disposal doesn't take away from that, imo.

All the dialogue we have implies the SB as an individual.

The organization may be impressive and formidable, but I don't see how that implies to the individual at the top. The more he contracts out, the less he does himself, and thus the less important he is to the entire setup. If Liara can just waltz in and steal his position and take over the network (theoretically) then he was indeed hardly impressive at all.

Well, I mean, the Reapers "contract out," don't they?  TIM "contracts out," doesn't he?

If Liara does indeed take over SB's operation, I think that speaks more to her capabilities than to SB's lack of them.  Besides, Liara ain't gonna "waltz in" and do squat without Shepard's help.  Just sayin.

I agree with you that an asari would be probable, but it won't happen.

An asari Shadow Broker could be comparable to Aria.  It took her hundreds of years to finally gain power on Omega, and she has the luxury of having that time to do so.  Other species, not so much.

The reapers contract out for the more menial tasks.  They can still kick some ass on their own.

As for TIM, well, he's full of incompetence and thus not very impressive as is. Just about all his experiments turn rogue and end up getting his teams killed, and he just hides in his little base and hires more people.

As for the SB, he has maintained complete anonymity for a long, long time, and has connections to just about every group in the galaxy, even the Collectors. That's a lot of information to handle, even with VI's and computers and subordinates. So, I have to wonder, what does the SB actually do that makes him worthy of the title? What significance does that title actually hold if most of the work is done by cronies?

As for Shepard, you're right. Nothing in the galaxy can get done without Shepard. Whether it's something mundane like a mother deciding what to do with her unborn baby or saving the galaxy from a giant cuttlefish, Shepard is the key ingredient to everything. It's what being a Mary Sue is all about. :wizard:

Well, okay then, have it your way. Be prepared to discover what an unimpressive person SB is.

Well, this is a DLC, so it won't be anything vital to the plot arc either way.

But, yeah, I'm prepared to be underwhelmed. I have been for all the other DLC's save maybe Kasumi.

Depeding on how long the DLC is the SB could be many different or just a group working together. And this is good theroy I think becasue the problem with "how does the SB deal with all that info?" This group could be all over the galaxy, with a string of networks and such to deal with all that info. Individuals of that group are just like TIM and are good at not revealing their identity. I mean thinking about things in the ME world and actually playing the ME world are 2 different things. We could all be wrong and it's what Chris said, It could be something or someone we never met.

I agree with the A.I. being a good Info broker but for an A.I. to be like the SB? Well this has to be the biggest most advanved A.I. we have ever seen.

And then that's where the Reaper comes into play for me. Reapers have the best tech and some what of a Reaper A.I. could be the SB. Seems more sense that way for an A.I...A Reaper!

Conrad no. I didn't even have him at Illium in ME2 didn't really care about him in ME1

As for the others it's over my head. I personnely believe it's someone we never met or someTHING we never met. IF this is a "bridging" DLC to me3 then I think it might the Raloi. That'd be cool. And no one but me has ever mentioned them on here. We never met them. Or then again it could just someone or something that is just out in the galacy and we never met. Idk.

For some reason I feel this DLC will be different if not alot different. It feels different anyway. Some what big. But other than that I just have to wait!!!

I don't see sb being a reaper, but what if it is someone that you already know or trust? What then?

I've liked all the mission DLCs so far.  Kasumi, Zaeed, and Overlord were all really good, imo.

Who could it be? Pretty much all the big named NPC's can be killed off in either of the games. So it'd have to be one of the side characters and that won't be much of a big reveal unless it's someone like Conrad, but even he can be killed.

Rentola would be hilarious.

Feron is really the most likely of the already-revealed characters. LotSB and the comics are both side stories, Feron is already known to be part of the mission, and it gives a cheap, easy-to-pull-off "twist" in the plot.

..and that's why he's the most likely candidate

The Geth, Legion mentioned that the geth have used the extranet to slightly influence politics. It could be possible that the asari or whatever are using geth technology to process all the data.
