From the description in the ME2 DLC list,

She'll do anything to recover the man the Broker kidnapped...

I never read the comic, what's the Drell's name?

Feron. Anyways, for $10 this better be worth the price. For years no DLC I have purchased has come close to Bethseda's Shivering Isles. Shivering Isles added not only two different storylines for the main questline, but offered a substantially large new overworld filled with additional sidequests and activities.

To be fair, Shivering Isles was marketed as an expansion, but still. At $10 I am expecting at least 6 hours of gameplay Bioware.

I just hope there is a "game of the year edition" of Mass effect. I'll buy it for sure, no questions asked.

Game:

Mass Effect 2 $49,95
Mass Effect 2 CE $59,95

DLC's:

Kasumi - Stolen Memory $5,60
Overlord Pack $5,60
Alternate Appearance Pack 1 $2,00
Equalizer Pack $2,00
Aegis Pack $2,00
Firepower Pack $2,00
Liara $10
Total for DLC $ 29,20

Considering how much time I have already spent playing the game, it is less than one buck per hour of fun for me.

ok, then what is the problem since i would be happy to pay 800 points just to be able to continue the romance
even without the SB thing

The problem is that this should have been part of the main game. The way they handled Liara's romance in ME2 proper was horrible. There is no excuse for how badly and out of character Shepard and Liara act upon their reunion.

Again I point back to my metaphor of the person who bio-engineers a disease with the sole intent of profiting off the cure in the future.

If Feron has been in the SB hands for all this time, I wonder what sort of treatment he's been getting for 2+ years (Hanoi Hilton style treatment or more subtle) and what's in store for us if/when we meet him?

Speaking of the continuation of the romance with Liara, I'm glad Bioware decided to provide us with content for people who actually took the effort to initiate a relationship with her instead of the usual 'stuff that must be accesible for everyone'. So kudos, Bioware. You just scored extra points.

Well, they are perfectly justified.

Not really. Not if they want to claim that they care about their fanbase more than their fanbase's bank accounts.

Yes because 10 dollars is so expensive. They did a job creating this stuff and expect to be paid for it, does that seem wrong to you?!?
And truth be told they own Mass Effect they could do whatever they want with the game and you got no right to complain about it.

10$=1/5 ME2. Do you think it is gonna be 1/5 the lentgh of a ME2 playthrough?

I live in Norway so games are priced at something like 100$ if i where to convert it to dollars. Paying 10$ for 2-5 hours entertainment is not that expensive. There are tons of games that charge you 60$ for 4-8 hours gameplay which sadly is the average gameplay for games these days.

Considering the hundreds of hours, yes HUNDREDS, I have put into ME1 & 2 this game series has proven to be the best entertainment bargain of my life.  Another $10 is a drop in the bucket really.....

I am just going to put in my two cents worth here. Everyone was complaining when we weren't getting any information. Now that we are.....guess what people are still complaining.

I haven't saved my ME1 and ME2 character that had romanced/stayed loyal to Liara. Now this will give me two weeks to play through both games in preparation. Yay!!!

I really hope this leads to some Kaidan/Ashley dlc to keep their romances going from ME1.

I second that. It would be very unfair not to give the ones who romanced Ashley or Kaidan that "last chance to continue the relationship" as well.

With the times I´ve replayed both MEs and DA DLCs it is not that bad, better than going to the cinema at least. For people who don´t replay much however...

Actually, I should expand on that.  Add to that multiple playthroughs with KOTOR, Jade Empire, DA:O then I have literally devoted over a 1000 hours to Bioware games.  I should buy their stock if that's an option.

I'd still love to know if the DLC is set during the main mission or after it. Pretty please?

No, seriously, why wasn't this kind of thing in the main game? We know this DLC has been "in the works" for a long time because the files for this Liara DLC were in the game.

Yet what we get from Liara in the game is absolute crap; she doesn't the even mention the romance at all. Yet now we can? And the fact that this has been in development for so long tells me that you aren't "adding" the romantic content in after seeing that the fans didn't like your ME2 crap.

This just screams bad, manipulative business.

Because it's just bad, manipulative business. Yes, it should've been part of the main game. It's clear as daylight. But EAWare is milking the fools, and the fools are happy for being milked. The worst thing that we can't do anything about it. But... YouTube is our friend...

(at least it was my friend in the case of Leliana's Song...)

That's what sickens me. BioWare created this problem with Liara's content in ME2, and it seems obvious that they did it on purpose solely so they could cash in on the Liara fans.

And, yes, they will do this again for Kaidan and Ashley. And people will be thanking them for it then too. It's disgusting.
