My god, you two have been off topic for more then 3 pages. STOP. If you want to discuss this, go to the characters/tactics discussion. No one wants to hear it here.

Now, ON TOPIC...

THANK YOU.

Health - Difficulty - Balance - Upgrades - Scaling ...... they are intimately related and they always result in really weird immersion breaking aspects of any game. Nobody does it right.

The worst offenders in ME2 were:

1) Thermal clips
2) Your companions never die unless you do
3) You are an elite soldier and you enter a combat situation with your heavy weapon UNLOADED
4) You take 1000 shots with no effect, but only the very last on kills you.
5) You are an elite soldier, Spector or the prime Cerebus agent and you have to buy normal weapons. The only weapons you should ever have to buy are the ones you make yourself or are new tech
6) Cover behind a desk can stop a bazooka
7) The magic teleporting weapon lockers

Most of it comes down to covert and overt scaling and the fact that AI is pretty stupid in most games.

However ME2 is no worse than other games.

2: Your companions actually can die (revived after battles or with unity), I'm not sure where you're getting that from. 4: You would expect the fourth to last shot to kill you? I'm not really sure what your complaint is here. 5: ME1 was the game where you had to buy weapons. In ME2, you just buy armor and upgrades.

Anywho, apologies for contributing to the off-topicness, but I couldn't resist . In an attempt to redeem myself: I am really looking forward to seeing how this Shadow Broker Intel Center will fit into the game and and how BW decides to continue the Liara romance. Can't wait!

Don't forget in the main game, you can bring Tali and Garrrus to your first meeting with Wrex in Tuchanka and no one says anything. Only Shepard and Wrex talk.

Miranda and Thane can have something to say. On the latter wasnt it the SB that had something to do with his wife's death?

The Batarians that killed his wife asked TSB who Thane was.

They were afraid of Thane, so they instead went after his wife.

Thane has no reason to be mad at TSB. Unless he doesn't know TSB is entirely neutral.

Speaking of Liara ...

As I said earlier I replayed ME1 and I have to say that she kicked serious butt in the game. About half the time I couldn't shoot anyone because she was warping peoples brains out. And this was , cute, bookish and sweet Liara. She may not have the mentality to go Commando, but she certainly has the skills. LotSB should be quite interesting w/ sexy, bookish and pissed off Liara.

I agree.  Plus, I can't wait to see her awesome cutscene biotic powers!

I can't wait to see Liara back in action, and IMHO she's the best biotic in both games. Image IPB

His wife is dead. That's a good reason. TSB's "intention" with the information that got her killed doesn't exactly make it better.

Does anyone else actually like the Shadow Broker? Back in the first game, I liked how they set him up as a neutral party neither good or evil and I always imagined him coming back into the story as a morally unknown character but with ultimately good intentions. There's still time for that I think, although selling my body to the collectors was a douche move, but I won't shoot first and ask questions later. I want to hear his reasoning before I make any hasty decisions. Of course replacing him with Liara is also a good story move for ME3 so I'm unsure what step I want to take.

TSB didn't know what they would do with it. All TSB knows is they wanted to know who Thane was.

But selling information about somebody's past that leads into their family being murdered is still grudge-worthy. :P

Honest, I'm just going to wait till the Dlc is out test it and then judge in the end. I see to many people on the forums demanding and speculating about liara and the shadowbroker. I want this i want that i need more storyline i need more dialog. In the end you will get disappointed mainly because you already judged a book on its cover. Wait and see people! Bioware did a awsome job in mass effect 1 and even 2 in my eyes is a big improvement. Its also the only company that is mainly listing to what there customers is saying.

Think of this. Why is bioware not giving a lot of information about the new Dlc. Only 4 screenshots. no trailer no nothing. Trust me i believe this Dlc is going to be a big improvement!

I also believe bioware is working hard to make this Dlc right. The know how mutch people love the character Liara, and i'm 100% sure the feel that presure. Again i do not believe bioware will screw this up Image IPB

Yeah this kinda bummed me out especially when I brought them both when I met Liara as well.  But Garrus does talk when you discuss with Wrex about Grunt's problem of maturing as a Krogan (Garrus says to take him to Omega and get him some dancers).

The only ME1 character interaction in ME2 is-

1. Garrus/Tali(Anywhere you take them)
2. Garrus/Virmire Survivor(Horizon)

That's it. Which sucks. So yeah, I'm hoping for Liara to talk to Garrus and Tali in this.

A good "Just Like Old Times" moment.

Then Thane must feel like he still needs someone to hate since he already took out all the perpetrators.

Or maybe he's decided that a figure who indifferently dispenses information that allows other people to get killed is an irresponsible type who should be stopped.

That too. But if that were the case, you think he would've aimed for him already.

You forgot Miranda/TIM before the final boss.  I'm also fairly certain Miranda/VS is exclusive to her.

Miranda and TIM are not in ME1, how is that ME1 interaction?

LoTSB needs ME1 squaddie interaction with Liara AND dialogue with Miranda to make perfect sense.

That's about it dialogue wise.

Probably because The Shadow Broker is The Keepers.

I could see how The Shadow Broker might use The Keepers to gather intel, but not as them being The Shadow Broker. Using The Keepers would be a ingenious way to gather intel with out anybody even realy taking note The Keeper is even in the room.

They're just there, typing on their little consoles, gathering and selling information, under the cover of keeping the Citadel functional.

PLOT TWIST.

Not quite, for the main verson, yes, but there's more if you hack the PC version and you'll get some bonus cut content:

If you hack the PC version and bring Tali with you on Garrus' recruitment mission, and pick Tali to stay behind with Garrus, she'll say "Just like old times, Garrus" and he will say "Yeah, one big happy family".

Also, with more hacking, if you bring Tali and Garrus along to Horizon, Ashley or Kaiden will address them both.

But yea, LotSB needs better quality party banter than we've been seeing on DLC so far, especially ME1 squadmate banter.
