That said, Ill be buying it ... later - If there is enough content, Ill be buying it o my next playthrough. If not, Deal of the Weak.
I wont let BioWare marketing ruin the ME2 experience for me.

Yep, I'm pretty sure a few of the devs promised we could continue our romances in ME2 well before ME2 came out.
And, no, we could not do that in the game. And, yes, it does seem like they removed it on purpose to turn around and sell it back to me. Why else would Liara's reunion be so goddamned awful?
You can say the files are only the game so they can link together, but that's ignoring my point. The files are THERE, and they're there before ME2 came out. So they knew this DLC was coming, and I'm damned sure they knew there would be romantic content, and by extension I'm damned sure that they withheld said content on purpose to exploit Liara fans and make themselves look good in the process.
It is my right as a consumer to point these things out. If BioWare wants to argue with me and tell me I'm wrong, I'll listen and offer a revisited judgment. I don't have to "buy it" in order to be able to comment. That whole notion is terribly irresponsible.
They did let you continue them, in a way that would allow Liara to be around for the conclusion on this story arc and ME3... she's likely very important(if not the most important) plot character we've met so far. They did what they have to do.
Everything they do as a business is to exploit a customer in some fashion... Companies make clothing, phones, cars and all sorts of other things to turn a profit. They don't do it for free, and don't do a crappy job of it if they want to make money. They(Bioware) listened to what fans wanted, and delivered it.
The notion that they should have done it in the first place, or for free, is terrably irresponsible considering we don't know why they did it... other than your mad ramblings.

Why do people keep saying this? If they charge $60 for the PS3 version when the 360/PC version will be down to $25-30, then they most certainly are NOT getting it for free.uzivatel wrote...
It could/should have been in the main game, its overpriced, PS3 is getting it for free.

You really are cynical. You have no idea on how the design process was handled, for all we know this may have been a part of the main game but was later forced into DLC because of time constraints and deadlines.
If that was the case then I'd hope BioWare would have done what was done with the enhanced version of The Witcher and offer it for free, as it was meant to be part of the main game.
That's not what happened, and I'm more than willing to bet that they did this all on purpose to make a profit. Sure, you can say it's their right as a business to exploit their fanbase to make a profit; that doesn't mean I can't complain about it.
And I'm really more of a realist.
your now just figuring this out?

I wonder if we'll see Feron or Tazzik from the comic, it'd make sense. Looking forward to it, hope it is the same quality as Overlord and Kasumi.

If only Mass Effect 2 would be only 10 hours long. Then a DLC 1/5 of it's price would satisfy some of you with just 2 hours of content...

Thank You Bioware!
I have to comment on something. Some people are saying that this DLC is already in the game but they cut it?
No those files we found were leftover existing files from a storyline that was cancel. I remember reading a interview with one of the devs about how they kept going back and forth with the Shadowbroker's story to try and refine where they were going to go with it before they ended up doing the comic.
It's not to hard to think that this Shadowbroker DLC just might be a new tale? people seem to jump on the bandwagon of "cut content so they suck!" to quick and to often.

Problem with offering it for free is Xbox Certification. They are required to charge so M$ can make some sort of profit for allowing it to appear on their platform. And don't bring up the Cerberus network, because that was basically just a pre-paid microsoft points card.Mystranna Kelteel wrote...

Now, My question is that, for those of us who couldn't import their ME1 file by playing the two games on different systems, or the loss of a memory card, will they still be able to pursue a relationship with Liara if the game ahas no evidence of a relationship from ME1?
i would say no, since where would the game get the info from?
wich seems pretty obvious to me

Did they say those exact words, or is that what people interpreted them to be? From what I recall it was said that the LI's from ME1 continues through ME2 and into ME3 with consequences if there was any cheating.

They did not let us continue the romance in any way. In fact, with Kaidan and Ashley they effectively ended the relationship with a small hint that it might have a future. The fact that Liara is still alive for ME3 is not a continuation of the romance; it's a postponement.
What's irresponsible is releasing an unfinished product early to make more money, and then expecting the customers to pay even more to fix the game. Again I'll point to The Witcher's enhanced edition, which was free for everyone who already had The Witcher. I hate that game, but I can respect that business practice because it shows integrity and at least some desire not to screw over and exploit your fans.
If you disagree with my points then I'd be happy to hear out why you think they aren't exploiting us, why you think they didn't withhold this from the main game, or why you think Liara's romantic content in ME2 was so bad if they didn't plan from the start to "fix it" in DLC.
