I was excited for Liara's DLC until I heard 800 MSP. That seems overpriced Overlord and Kasumi were just 560 so Im expecting Liara to join the crew or around 4+ hours of added gameplay. Im a poor gamer so 800 is overboard. Due to this I wont be getting it ... until a couple days after its released. I just need around 400 points to get it. Guess I wont be able to buy other games for a while.

There´s just so much a person can take. Leaving Feron behind even if it was his choice, then leaving Shepard to Cerberus and beating herself about it 2 years. Still doesn´t work with her not going to the SM, they could have given several reasons to leave her behind. If this is preSM maybe this time they will. After all, unlike all the others squadies, Liara actually is doing something important and possibly helpful to Shepard, she would only be needed in the SM itself. Samara + Liara + Adept Shep = Warp/Reave onslaugh.Driveninhifi wrote...
Generally what bothered me about Liara in ME2 is that her character development doesn't make sense given how she was presented in ME1.
She's a super nerd with no social skills that hasn't been around people in 50 years in the first game. In the second game, she's threatening people that are refusing to pay her - that's a HUGE jump without any development (aside from her saying "I'M ANGRY")
Her motivations make no sense:
If she's angry about Feron's death/capture that doesn't really fit at all since she barely knew or liked him.
if she's angry the Shadow Broker stole Shepard, it really doesn't make sense for her to just let Shepard leave on a suicide mission if she can help. Why would she take the chance of losing Shepard again?
It really felt like the entire interaction was artificially built around the constraint of "she can't join the party" and "this is the dark chapter, so she needs to be more edgy" instead of organically developing.
There are a lot of interesting things to do with her character and the place she's in though - I'm curious how they resolve it. I feel most of the interesting potential had to occur with the threat of shepard dying again, but there's still fodder there.

So, who else thinks that Sha'ira the consort is the shadow broker AND Liara's dad? Think about it. On the citadel she had all sorts of contacts and could gather information from her clients. In ME2 it was announced that she might leave the Citadel due to bad press. Hmm... I wonder were she went? Maybe Illium?

People, please stop saying it's overpriced. Nobody even knows how long it is yet to make such a statement. Plus, it's a freakin 12 pack of American lager.
And the mighty Shadow Broker seriously had problems with a love-sick turian and an angry elcor? And is there any asari who isn't suspected to be Liara's other mother?Knottedredloc wrote...

So you can afford 560 points and blowing 160 points on costume packs, but you can't afford 800 points. It's 10 dollars. I think it's what £8.50 if you're in the uk? Just save up for a few weeks.
People can't expect everything to be sold at $5 dollars

What standing does Shepard have left with the Alliance? The Alliance has spent the last two years ripping Shepard apart. If Ash or Kaiden have anything to do with Shepard, their careers ARE OVER.

What do you mean? So far I got them in release date, and not too late either.Trusbak wrote...
This is good news. Even though us folks in Europe have to wait to 8th september, before we can download it. But still I am looking so much forward to this one.
Well, I think if someone gets screwed up because of helping me I owe at least trying to help them out. If then she´s changed too much for the relationship to continue, too bad (reminds me of war veterans) but I´m not leaving her apart without trying.BigGuy28 wrote...

This is the problem I had, she changed way too much and not for the better. The only reason my Shepards help her at all is because they feel they owe her and she was a friend/lover at one time. After I no longer feel I owe her I'd treat her like I would any other criminal, as I said before, just because it's Liara it doesn't suddenly make it ok for her to become what I've faught against.
