I hate to say it Mystranna, but 90% of your posts are dripping with a very noticeable sense of entitlement.
They're a business, and made no secret that ME2 was a game they were going to focus on DLC quite seriously with. Its not surprising in any way Bioware would want to leave the Liara romance angle as a plot-line addressed in a future DLC, especially given the obvious fact of already having other available love interests in the new crew; and the EVEN MORE obvious reasoning that she couldn't be a part of the crew in ME2 so that she'd be guaranteed to survive for ME3 so she can be a playable, romanceable crew member in ME3.
So, please, stop acting like this is a crime against humanity. A $5 - $10 DLC every month or so isn't ridiculous, so I don't understand why you're acting like it is.
You paid your $60 for the game, and you got the complete game for the $60. If you feel your gameplay experience wasn't complete in some way because it lacked the Liara romance, then buy this DLC. If you're just going to remain stubborn and not, then look to get your Liara romance fulfilled in ME3.
Seriously, I don't understand why you insist on playing the victim in the vast majority of your posts.
I like the hyperbole. It's nice to know you don't understand what's going on here. I'm not a victim. I'm merely an observer.
I accused you of playing the victim, not being one. There's a difference--which I feel is important to point out, since apparently we're resorting to insulting each other's intelligence. And true observers are silent...which you certainly aren't.
But, just to make it clear, I understand very well whats going on here: you're desperate for attention. You're always one of the most out-spoken complainers. And thats your right, its also just tiring. For someone who claims to be a realist, your cynical nature betrays you. My God, I still remember the big stink you helped start concerning the "canon" Shepard in the ME comic awhile back. All your worries and complaints about that really panned out, huh? Though the comic sucked, you're cynical assumptions about Bioware "canonizing" Shepard were way off the mark.
The basis of your argument is that the Liara romance content should have been included in the actual ME2 game, not just as DLC. Here's why that didn't happen:
Liara wasn't in ME2 as a squadmate for a reason (other than just being reserved for this DLC...see, I knew your cynical mind would jump right to that). The reason is solely so that she couldn't or wouldn't take part in the suicide mission which made up ME2's plot, thus leaving her absolutely alive and well at the end of ME2 so she could appear as a squadmate and/or love interest in ME3. If she'd been on the crew for the suicide mission and chance was against you (even if you'd completed all Loyalty missions and Normandy upgrades), she could have ended up dead...which would've put a damper on Bioware's plans for her in ME3, and your plans for continuing your love interest with Liara post-ME2.
The reasoning is there and logic is there, so why don't you understand this? Granted...the execution and final product was admittedly disappointing in comparison to ME1, but I understand Bioware's decision to keep Liara in the background for ME2 so as to guarantee her a spot in ME3.
Garrus and Tali are crew members in ME2, but they weren't potential Love Interests in ME2, so there's no "carry-over" the developers have to worry about like with Liara.
