You're thinking of Matron stage (she's in her Maiden stage now).

As I recall, the asari can advance to the next stage a bit early if they want, but Matron stage is the one where they settle down to have a family and stuff... I'm not sure why she'd do that. And she's still a couple centuries from getting there naturally.

Yeah, that's why I think that's not the reason because she's so comparitively young and is well off from that third of her life.

Personally I think that the picture on the right is actually the same character model as the second, just the lighting is a little different.  (Her "freckles" are a little bit more pronounced, and she's wearing a different shade of lipstick, or at least I think that's lipstick).

For Chuck's sake... it just looks different because it expresses a different emotion in a different lighting. I'm pretty sure it's even the same model and texture as in base ME2.

You're comparing pieces cut out from different pictures. Look at the whole screenshots, she looks much better there. Better yet, wait for the complete thing before you start dissing it.

'New' Liara is identical to old Liara, at least ME2 Liara, with the only exception of a bit of a touch-up on the lips and freckles. Otherwise the facial structure is absolutely the same.



Keep in mind its a shot from a lower angle, with stronger lighting in a different position, and a different emotion.

EDIT:  I think that and not the Shadow Broker himself because I think he's just an old guy sitting in a chair just gathering information, almost like Andrew Ryan in BioShock. 

Only this time Liara has the golfclub.

Being a quality nut that I am I hate inaccuracies, her lips are not blue.  Why?! I keep asking must they degrade Liara.

Her lips are not blue because the whole scene is not blue, that's how shaders work. Not sure what that youtube vid has to do with anything.

They look blue to me, yes.

That's my issue, unless bioware comes out and says that's her natural lip color she's flawed.(imo)
