This is our biggest DLC yet, period.

It also marks the real beginning where we expand the ME2 story in preparation for ME3. (Emphasis added.)

As time gets closer to release, we'll have coverage on more of the awesome things you can expect out of LotSB

Excellent.

I gather from that statement that there will be yet more DLC in the future. Awesome.

Indeed, Bioware announced a few months ago before Overlord came out that there would be several more DLC packs to be announced for the ME universe, including one big one that will "act as a prologue between ME2 and ME3" or words to that effect.

That is great news, thanks Chris - only 2 weeks to wait and I'm stoked for LoTSB already. The only issue I have is this:

...and give fans from Mass Effect 1 the chance to continue a relationship with Liara

Damn, looks like another potential partner showdown is in store for me (like Ash and Liara in ME1 perhaps?)...the Biotic Catfight Round II: Miranda vs Liara

So this is the biggest DLC bioware has done or just the biggest for ME2, either one makes it seem like we will get a decent amount of time out of it. The DLC also marks the beginning of the story getting ready for ME3,sound good to me and makes me glad that I have just finished the game so I am at the right point in the story for it. Now I can continue my romance from ME1 and enjoy my little Asari. Thanks Bioware for the DLC and I look forward to any other DLC that enhances the game or the story in the future.

This is coming out the day before my birthday!  Hey, Bioware, maybe as an extra birthday present I can get it for free? :D (eh EH?!)

Man though, I'm gonna have a hard time choosing between Tali and Liara tho.  On one hand Tali is a super fangirl of my shepard, on the other hand Liara was my romance in ME1 and Shepard most likely would hold feelings for her still. :o

This... ROCKS! Now I no longer have to have my original Femshep romance Garrus and Kelly anymore. She can go back with Liara! YAY! Plus my internet should be all set up by then! *squee!*

What I don't get is WHY they changed her from her present ME2 appearance to this new one for LotSB. Why spent time and resources changing a character model when the current one is fine? Looking at that comparison just makes it stand out how much the new Liara doesn't look much like her any more, which is silly. Or are they slowly going to evolve things because they're planning on changing up the look for ME3 like they did with Dragon Age or something?

I think Liara will become a character for the Squad after you done the Lair of the shadow Broker(of course you can use her during the Mission), I say this because everytime i read "Give fans from Mass Effect 1the chance to continue a relationship with Liara" Im assuming she rejoins you Unless she dies In the Lair of the ShadowBroker So Bioware doesn't have to add her in Mass effect 3, But hey anythings Possible xD.

They'll most likely have an excuse like Liara becoming the new Shadow Broker, looking over his(her?) files or you don't find Feron and she still searches for him.

i like the idea of her becomeing the SB even tho that may not happen but whit her as shadow broker in ME3, Wrex whit the krogans, legion whit the geth, plus the rachni and tali as an admiral (if shes not exlied) whould mean one awesome fightscene against the reapers.......*getting goose bumps*

I think I will do another playthrough of ME1 again while I wait so I can start a new playthrough where my character can get the Widow sniper rifle, that way I will be ready for anything the Shadow Broker throws at me. Plus it will give me a refresher on both my relationship with Liara and the story of Mass Effect, my run through ME2 won't take long thanks to all the little DLC packs I have gotten. Looking forward to working with Liara again.

The new screenshots, Liara does not look like themselves, she is different, another face.
This is especially noticeable in the screenshot where she with a pistol.
I do not understand how this can be, but it's not her face, another face. How?
When Shepard sees her again, he has to say about Liara: "You in another style, a new hairstyle"? She answers: "No, new face."

Its a low angle shot with considerably harder lighting from a different source and a different displayed emotion.

At most they tweaked the texture, lips and freckles. Otherwise she looks exactly the same.

She went from the cute, nerdy, awkward asari from me1 to a hardened, strong, not so cute asari in me2. They changed her face a bit to make it suit her new personality.

800 MS points is like five dollars or something. Much cheaper than most forms of entertainment out there.

$10 USD

And people are griping about price?   Since when is ten bucks considered expensive?

I consider it expensive but than again I'm poor but no matter 800 points is exacly what I have left over from buying the first dlc so (Does the happy dance)

(Note: I just want to add I'm not complaining about the price for any one that missunderstood me. I'm just very happy I have the points needed to buy it :P)

Thought even if I didn't have the points if I got to the point that I needed to play the game badly I could miss a few meals to save up $10 just to play this lol

Anyway now I need a time machine so I can go into the future and play this right now:ph34r:

(Just Remembers I may not have an internet connection after next week.. crap!:crying:)

I wonder if the DLC will change if Shep is romancing or has romanced another lady (or man). Perhaps too much to hope for, gotta save something for ME3, right? I'll be playing through this twice, once with Tali as my girl and once again broken up.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Conrad Verner with weird save imports. Like, what if when we import into ME3 the game registers that we romanced both Liara and someone else and something goes wrong because of it?

Any issues with the price are pointless at this stage because nobody knows how much content the DLC pack will contain, or how long it will last. Its foolish to complain that something is 'too expensive' without knowing the details.

If it hits and its really nothing bigger than Overlord or Kasumi then you can complain.

I hear you about the region lock. There is not a single Czech word in my ME2CE, even the box and manual are in English.
