They just said that this DLC will be the first to fill the gap between ME 2 & ME 3
That doesn't necessarily mean chronologically, it only really means the plot of this DLC is a set-up for something in ME3. Given the sidequesty nature of the thing, it could reasonably take place either before or after the Suicide Mission and still make sense, since it doesn't directly relate to the Collectors. If the intel on the Shadow Broker comes via Cerberus through the private terminal, though, that will mean it has to be accessible before the Suicide Mission to make up for the fact that Shepard can completely cut ties with Cerberus at the end of the game.
No necessarily true, the Shadow Broker was working directly in tandem with the Collectors in Redemption. And I doubt Harbinger would cut ties with a resource as potentially valuable as the Shadow Broker. Personally, I suspect the Shadow Broker is under Harbinger's influence to some degree.
And I think it's just as likely that it's Liara who contacts you and asks you to come to Illium. Her discovering this Shadow Broker base could be the result of her Illium missions. And they were filed under 'missions'.

Well on the 360 version Illium is only accessible on disk 2, all other DLC is accessible on both 1 + 2. Disk 2 ends when you launch the SM, so if the DLC uses the current Illium, then LOTS takes place before the suicide mission. If it takes place after then they would have to re-send Illium down with the DLC, or have a different location on Illium where you meet with Liara.
All my current saves are post-SM, so I'm hoping it's one of the bridging DLCs so I can jump right in.
After the suicide mission you can play the game on disc 2. You would need to, in fact, if you didn't complete every loyalty mission.
It just means that this DLC will have to wait until after Horizon.

It IS kind of bs that the relationship aspect is paid DLC, but thats assuming its even worth mentioning to begin with. Sounds to me like the ME1 relationships are intended to come full circle in ME3, so whatever's in the new DLC imo won't be very significant. Some new lines, maybe a quick hop in the sack (a subtle nod from Bioware maybe that they know lesbian alien sex in what put ME1 on the radar) but I have a feeling people expecting some major relationship goodness are going to be disappointed.
DLC itself I would say is a whole other ball of wax. I understand angry sentiments over it, but the bottom line is sometimes games run too long and stuff gets cut. At least they're releasing it at all, and if you think $10 is ripping you off, you've never paid $15 for 3 MP maps before. I'm personally more upset that its ONLY $10, I was really hoping for a massive expansion. Overlord can be whipped through in an hour if you know what you're doing. If they pull something like that with this I'm going to be pretty upset. And if all the DLC was planned from the beginning, why did they not record the voicework from the beginning? A mute crew kind of takes you out of the moment.
At any rate, I've picked up every piece of DLC so far, I'm not rich, but $3 - $10 bucks every other month isn't exactly harsh. I also plan of picking up the PS3 version, since I'm a Sony fanboy at heart. I'm excited as hell for ANYTHING new, so Liara here we come.

Please Bioware make a dlc for Kaiden and Asley too for ME1 love interested
This! While I don't have anything against Liara and am really looking forward to tackling the Shadow Broker, Ashley was far and away the superior female Li for me. She better get her own dlc adventure Bioware!!

As long as they make it like this DLC; so it does not exclude peeps (like me) who did not romance anyone from ME 1.

how could you release in THAT week ?
i just notice that in that week we need to attend starting with the 7th (yes that 7th Sept) the IFA Berlin Fair, and than directly over the Weekend at the IBC Fair in Amsterdam ...
and its all about CE and end to end solution so not that far away from your side of biz anyway to not have mercy.
thanks again
Woodstock (still loving your games)

'Chasing clues'...I wonder how this will be implemented in game. I hope it's more than hacking mini-games. It does seem like Illium will be quite an extensive portion of this DLC, though.

The new screenshots, Liara does not look like themselves, she is different, another face.
This is especially noticeable in the screenshot where she with a pistol.
I do not understand how this can be, but it's not her face, another face. How?
New makeup.
Remember, Liara is going hunting for the SB. Therefore she's wearing her death lipstick.

I would imagine an Ash/Kaidan DLC would tie into the Alliance somehow. As was mentioned by Gamble earlier in this thread, LotSB is the first of the ME2 to ME3 story bridging DLCs. The Shepard/Alliance subplot is still a large loose end...I can see a DLC focusing on that, and also bringing back the characters of Kaidan and Ashley into the story. There should be romance then, if applicable.

Believe me, I am not holding my breath. They pretty much said the same thing about ME2 and look how that turned out.
Other than that I am very happy w/ the news on this. Can't wait!
