Aw..it's definitely not overpriced...it's like $10, and it's the largest DLC yet.



I'd pay $60 for it, if only b/c I'm a shameless and hopeless Liara fan girl.

This new research will probably be a pistol or an smg dmg+ upgrade or something else that hasn't already got  the 6/6 available upgrades.

What I'm more interested about is a potential new biotic power from Liara. If she's gonna be a temporary squadmate she will probably have a unique power just like every other squadmate in the game.
And this would also explain that "buff for adepts" that Ms. Norman tweeted  about a while back.


This will certainly be a goddamn best MassEffect expansion to date. I can feel it.

Most think she will be just a temp squad mate for the LotSB mission.  Therefore, you will have Liara plus one of the original ME2 squad mates with you in LotSB.

I don't think she will permanentely replace any of the original ME2 squad mates though.  A dev did mention that Kasumi was the last ME2 squad mate that we will be getting.

I think Liara is using a throw here. It's looks kinda weird, because that throw effect is angled, but if you look at the floor you realize that the whole screenshot is angled.

I think folks @ BioWare will keep quiet about this, and probably for a good reason. We don't want every surprise ruined now, do we?

I did wonder whether it was a custom weapons system where you chose characteristics, model, damage, rate of fire etc from a pool of credits. I don't know, it's just the devs have mentioned that it'll be providing something that we haven't seen before.

To be honest I thought that screenie was just Liara using Throw. I'm all for unique powers but I have to admit, the developers kind of mentioned that they're going beyond the kind of stuff mentioned before.

This DLC is starting to sound like a bonafide expansion.

It's likely that Liara will be a temporary squadmate, for the duration of this DLC only. As a result, it will not be necessary for Liara to replace any character at all. She will probably board the Normandy at some point, however.

My optimism has me thinking that Liara will join the team and either reside in Shepard's cabin ( if Shepard was loyal ) or the Cargo hold ( if Shepard was not loyal or not interested ).

That doesn't necessarily mean chronologically, it only really means the plot of this DLC is a set-up for something in ME3. Given the sidequesty nature of the thing, it could reasonably take place either before or after the Suicide Mission and still make sense, since it doesn't directly relate to the Collectors. If the intel on the Shadow Broker comes via Cerberus through the private terminal, though, that will mean it has to be accessible before the Suicide Mission to make up for the fact that Shepard can completely cut ties with Cerberus at the end of the game.

It depends on what you do with the base and even then when you blow it Shepards tells him to either **** off or fall in line and I dought TIM will actually decide to **** with Shepard since the Commander took on the Collector single handedly I daught TIM has a death wish

Its kinda hard to fill the gap when the primary quest is in progress and if its right after Horizon it wont make any sence.

Yeah, you could be right.  It could be throw, with a new animation.

I don't want surprises ruined!  I might try to avoid knowing anything else about this before it's released in 2 weeks.

Agreed. This DLC seems to be significantly substantial, and expansive. The fact that it costs 800 points, the implementation of 5 achievements, and the additional fact that this DLC concerns Liara, who is one of the series most prominent and core characters, bodes very well for the size of the content. Furthermore, there are implications that BW consider this to be their richest and most expansive DLC so far, and by quite a distance. It's very exciting!

What I'm a bit curious about is where it's set. They say it's based on Illium... but the sky in some of those screenies doesn't look anything like Illium.

I can't wait for this to come out the Sept 7 is to far away. I wonder if this is the beginning of the bridging DLC. But I'm looking forward to this story are we going to find out who or what the shadow broker is and whatever happen to Feron.
