I've never seen this animation in game before. I wonder what it could be??
Biotic Pimp Hand.

Would it be worthwhile to speculate on Liara's class, her biotic powers, and her combat proficiencies, perhaps?
Asari Scientist again? Tali kept her old class. Garrus got new class reflecting some changes, but Asari Information Broker seems too long.jlb524 wrote...
Warp, Throw, Passive, a new bonus power.
She will be able to use an SMG and heavy pistols.
What will her class be called? I have no clue. What did I say before, 'Asari Prodigy' or something?

Great news on the release date and on the length of the DLC. Overlord was substantial, so if LotSB is even more so then we've got a lot to look forward to. I felt Liara's character got somewhat mangled in ME2, so I really hope we see a combination of old and new Liara in this DLC - something that makes the two mesh better. I also hope that we get some DLC involving Ashley / Kaidan eventually.

I do know BW wanted to keep Liara out of the ME2 squad so she could not die. However, if this DLC is post-suicide mission only, this won't be a problem. Plus, if there is more story-bridging post-suicide mission DLC, you could get some more use out of Liara as a squad mate in them.
The only thing is that Hudson stated Kasumi would be the last ME2 squad mate. This is why I think Liara won't join. Unless he meant no more squad mates will join for the pre-suicide mission team. IDK.
Probably not. There isn't any place for her. Except for Shepard's quarters, of course. There is an extra desk, after all.AlexMercer wrote...
so is liara will be in normandy after the mission?

If this will playable post SM and she joins you on the Normandy after the whole thing finishes, that means will have to wait the next DLC to bring her along on another mission... That'd suck.

Am I the only one worried about the length? It better be at least 4-5 hours long, considering it's 17% of the full retail price of the whole game....................

lol
That sounds like a snitch.
<shrug> They could just tweak future DLC so that you get an e-mail from TIM or Liara based on whether you played this or not.Funker Shepard wrote...

I theorise that this "Shadow Broker Intel Centre" that will be acquired in this DLC will actually function as the quest assignment location for the story bridging DLC, especially considering the fact that the majority of players severed all ties with Cerberus at the end of ME2, and told TIM to get bent. Consequently, it is necessary for Shepard to acquire a new resource to assign quests and missions.
Unlikely, as that would force everybody to buy into this DLC before they could get anything latter.
Not saying your idea isn't bad, or anything, I just doubt it's practically feasible.
Also wondering a bit about the levelcap...

No...I think it will be roughly that long.

Well...yea but...Ilium is an Earth-like planet...and for the other planets that don't have different climates, I personally think that's just because Bioware didn't implement weather effects, and most of the planets we don't travel too far off from where we land, usually...
And there's nothing to say that it can't have multiple climates...it doesn't look like an ash cloud to me, just a bad storm or something.
Yeah... I'm assuming she'll be a temporary squadmate, at most. I'm still not entirely convinced she won't be an NPC, like Garrus was during his recruitment mission.jlb524 wrote...

Remember that Illium is only habitable at higher altitudes; the surface is too hot to live on. It will basically be another tower or something along those lines.JaegerBane wrote...

I suppose. It's just the sickly-looking sky and billowing black clouds reminded me of that planet back in ME1 where you fought the rachni in a starship troopers-like side mission. I.e., about as unlike Illium as you could get.
I hadn't actually given much thought as to where someone/thing like the shadow broker would make their base - in the depths of a city or off in the blue black yonder like all those other nutcase groups.
