We got the very basic info which many (myself included) were complaining about which is release date and cost.  Everything else is gravy but I check from time to time for info drops or a trailer video for this.  Still the occasional gripe about it's cost but that has died down thankfully as I feel it is a bargain based on what we know at least.  I lurk around just to check on some of the speculation.  Shadow_broker has an interesting theory that the SB might be Liara's "Dad".  It seems plausible at the least and would put an interesting spin on Liara as a character IMO.

I was also right about PS3 mass effect 2 days before it was announcedPosted Image

SB has to be asari or krogan if it;s organic
SB has to be mysterious and can't have any backround info we have on them contradict their SB occupation
SB Should be a previously mentioned character but not so much that people who missed ME1 will be dissapointed
SB confrontation should give liara some serious Emotional Impact
Liaras dad meets these expectations
Liaras dad has moderate intrest surronding her and revealing her character this way would be very intresting
Liara mentioned Benezia wouldn't mention her dad possibly due to embarssment it seemed, This could be due to possible pureblood connection but if you love someone enough to have asari emotion baby with them makes it unlikley to keep her secret from her daughter for such a petty reason, It seems more likley that Benezia wanted Liara to stay away from the life as did her dad
Saren Shadow broker fight is mentioned in ME1 i speculate this could be due to benezia trying to capture Liara and  breaking deal saren had with Shadowbroker was angered by this causing them to switch over to enemies and wanting to use Tali's evidence as something against Saren to keep Liara safe

I like a lot of your speculation regarding the SB but one thing has me second guessing whether the SB is Liara's "Dad" and that's if the SB was willing to sell Shepard to the Reapers/Collectors then wouldn't Saren and Benezia share similar goals?  There's something wrong here or I'm just not wording it right or I got my ME universe events criss-crossed.  Saren betrayed the SB and yet a couple game months after the Battle for the Citadel when Shepard is killed the SB is involved in a plot to sell Shepards body to those Saren betrayed the SB for.

Am I getting something wrong?  What changed the SB mind?  Was it simply credits or did the Collectors/Reapers promise the SB we have yet to find out?

Shepard brought liara into a life of danger when she was quietly working as an protehan ruin digger
She was obsessed with him romanced or not, It's possible that SB gave cordinates for Normandy in the first place to kill shepard on the condition Liara survived (ignored by collectors likley but he didn't know that)
Then she and feron tried to save shepard so he just wanted to get rid of the body and since the collectors hellped him, he was probaly returning the favor
Also why feron was killed/captured but liara was left alone
SB Just wants Liaras saftey is my guess may have even secretly led her down path as isolatted archeolgist

^ But then there's the ME2-ME3 bridging DLC the devs have previously mentioned. What I would like to know though is if the DLC quests you complete (including the bridging DLCs) carry over into ME3.

i ask my self the same question. like with kasumi and zaeed. will they be still in ME3? what about the weapons which were DLCs? in the original ME2 they were not included, so what about people who never bothered to download the DLCs?
i guess bioware will surprise us as again once ME 3 will be released.

i am really happy that you have the chance to have liara back in your team. made me sad that she could not come with you because of the shadow broker, i thought i have to wait until ME3 was out. now i have to wait only to the 7.9.10 :D
but the best of this DLC is, that you can continue the relationship with her. always wanted to have her on my site and kick some collector asses.

Wow.  Maybe it's just the suit she's wearing, but Liara's "personality" has really...expanded.

I have been very happy with the DLC, hope this new mission with Liara reveals something interesting. Like Kasumi´s mission with her partners memory box. That stuff was exiting;)

Well....there's this:

Michael Gamble wrote...

This is our biggest DLC yet, period.

It also marks the real beginning where we expand the ME2 story in preparation for ME3.

As time gets closer to release, we'll have coverage on more of the awesome things you can expect out of LotSB

Yeah, according to Devs it's "the first of many". And it's by far their most involved/longest one up to date.

...I'm pretty frackin' stoked.

Possibly this is the beginning, but really we don't know when we should start this, yet.

Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station were started after we achieved Spectre status, so maybe we only can start this after we visit Illium, or possibly if we start the suicide mission. We don't know.

Me too....I think I'm more excited for this DLC than I was for ME2...actually, I know I am.

No, we don't know when in the game this DLC will or can start.  Storywise, this DLC will start to lead us up to ME3 though.

It would make most sense if this DLC was post-suicide. That would mean a simple and well-defined prerequisite for unlocking it, without the confusion of having to deal with Liara's quests.

I do not want to search through the 50+ pages of this thread, but from what I was told, it was confirmed by a developer in this thread that this DLC would be 4-5 hours long. Is this true?

Ooh. I really like Liara's new look, actually. It looks more mature to me.

DLC now. Please don't repeat Return to Ostagar and Kasumi, BioWare. D:

I agree.  Also it would make sense from a story perspective.  I doubt Shepard would want to deal with something this big before taking out the Collectors.  The Shadow Broker is just not an immediate threat, unlike the Collectors.  After the Collectors are defeated and Shepard has nothing going on....then the SB can be dealt with.

No confirmation on length yet.  I believe they did say it's the largest DLC for ME2 yet to date, though.  Plus, there are 5 achievements...some have guessed that it will be 4-5 hours in lenght, but no dev has confirmed this.
