Yeah, we may hear more next week....I don't want anymore info, so I should probably stay away from this thread....I can do it! Willpower!
It will be tough, but we can do it! We can resist the urge to look up any information in this thread. Restraint!

shhhh . she doesn't have to know
Information is her bussiness now. She knows.
At best, she'll be polite enough to not mention it and avoid confrontation. Or maybe she'll save it for later to win some argument

I guess I'll find out for sure if messing around with Kelly Chambers counts as cheating.
Hehe, same here. Although I'm guessing it won't make a difference, since the Kelly "romance" doesn't grant the paramour achievement. But in any case, I have several Shepards to, erm, test it.

Wonder.. will she be changed in illium too to the new model?
I seriously doubt it. If she goes back to Illium after the DLC then maybe but otherwise I really don't think so.

I have actually speculated on this in the past few days. I believe that Liara's Illium character model featured in the retail version of the game will be replaced by her DLC character model, due to the fact that they differ quite significantly in appearance, and it is also extremely unusual for a single character to have two differing models in one game.
Consequently, I'm also wondering if this DLC will rewrite and redirect the reunion scenes on Illium.

I've always viewed Kelly as not actually being in a relationship with Shepard but just giving Shepard emotional support.Jade Elf wrote...

In a physical way.
I mean, it's still technically cheating(if you go under the assumption that they had/have sex) but it doesn't really seem like Shepard is attached to Kelly all that much to make it a big deal when/if they reconcile with their ME1 LI. That's my interpretation anyway, since all they seem to do is flirt.

Never understood this kind of thinking, personally I think Shepard didn't "cheat" on Liara. When Liara chose revenge over continuing her relationship with Shepard then it no longer became a case of cheating and Shepard was a free agent to do as he pleases and with whom pleases him/her.
I found it rather cold/heartless that Liara let Shepard go off on another dangerous mission and to boot just used Shepard for a few "chores" before he/she went. So if Liara does "cry" then tough luck you made your bed and lie in it.
I was gonna go with the fact that I demand booty she didn't supply so my Shepard moved on but that works too

You are greatly overesimating how much work BioWare will place in unneccessary extra work. So she wears different make-up, dress and contact lenses while taking on the Shadow Broker......whoopsy doo.....that by no means indicates she should wear the same make-up, dress and contact lenses in normal days at the office.

Her character model looks completely different, kemo sabe. Not only is it extremely inefficient to have two character models for the same character, but the difference between the two is pretty significant, and as a result would be extremely jarring and create a disconcerting juxtaposition between her two appearances. Her character model has been upgraded to the graphical standards of the rest of the ME2 squaddies. That's what has happened.

Make-up, lenses and dress are only supperficial differences that are nowhere near as large as you make them sound to be. Not to mention that having Liara go into combat with her Illium dress on would simply look goofy. Different dresses and mke-up accentuate different aspects of a person. Darker make-up may hide her frekkles and lighte one expose them, leathry suit or armor will change the parts of her shape that stick out......you can see this in every day humans too......sometimes people just want a new look and you are surprised but ultimately guess what happens? You get used to it and life moves on. Not to mention that people simply don't dress the same for business as they do for combat and the difference is major but only superficial.

Misses the point completely...
The fact that makeup can alter her appearance in whatever fashion, or that contact lenses can be used to explain the difference in her eye colour is completely redundant and irrelevant. Regardless of your attempts to rationalise it away, her character model looks significantly different. Any attempts to explain it are completely unnecessary, as Liara's model used in this DLC is clearly the updated model to be used in ME2, and will replace what is used for her reunion scenes on Illium. Stop attempting to look at it from a rational, IRL perspective and try to do so from that of a video game design perspective. In that respect, it is obvious and a virtual certainty that Liara's character model included on the retail version of ME2 will be replaced by the newer, updated version.
Attempt to rationalise it away using real life appearance change comparisons, but Liara looks completely different and real life logic does not apply. Her character model looks completely different, and this will be reflected accordingly when her ME2 model is replaced.
