Well, if you go by the Codex

However, it should be noted that, each stage can be started whenever an asari feels that she has reached the correct level of maturity.

Hence, Liara could choose to enter the Matron stage now if she felt mature enough, and wanted to do such. Also, it's possible for the Matron stage to involuntarily trigger early due to frequent melding (also in the Codex). This really wouldn't apply to Liara atm (I don't think she's out there melding with tons of partners while she's so focused on the Shadow Broker).

If neither of the above occur, then the Matron stage will naturally begin around age 350.

This. Liara might feel she is now ready, thus she looks more mature and older and has become a matron. This can be for many reasons, for romance Shepards, this could be so she has there child(which a Maidan can't do)

I am not sure why you guys are banging on about Liara entering her "matron" stage, from what I understand of the Asari life cycle I see no reason why she would become a Matron  :-
  • The Maiden stage begins at birth and is marked by the drive to explore and experience. Most young asari are curious and restless.
  • The Matron stage of life begins around the age of 350, though it can be triggered earlier if the individual melds frequently. This period is marked by a desire to settle in one area and raise children.
  • The Matriarch stage begins around 700 years of age, or later if the individual melds rarely. Matriarchs become active in their community as sages and councilors, dispensing wisdom from centuries of experience. Their knowledge and guidance may be one reason why Matriarchs are rarely seen outside asari space.
So basically the Matron stage is a period in an Asari's life where they have a family.  So for Liara to become a Matron at 108 is the eqivualent of her becoming a single parent "gym slip" mum living in a council estate in Dagenham.  It also seems the only way to speed up the passage into Matronage is to "meld her brains out".  Now I don't get the impression that Liara has been melding with every tom dick and harry whislt Shepard was stinking the Morgue out..

I don't think Liara will become the next shadow broker at the end of this DLC there will be no shadow broker.

Well I just heard the sound files. And they tell us nothing other then that LOSB was a side quest that was cut. And that Liara's shadow broker issue was not as big as its sounds. Also the change to her face and body would tell me that it was cut in favor of a more dramatic quest. And bringing the love intrest issue up sooner rather then later. I can see that the "intel senter" could be a place for you to switch out a squad member for her. Most likely Samara or Thane. Do to the fact that the Intel would be of some use to a justacar and an assain. And when you want to use one of the others go back and switch the squad back.

Ok ....All that is true but do Asari choose when they become pregnant? Like an on/off switch?

I wish bioware would explain their biology a bit more.

You got 17$ of Cerberus Network content, I wish people would just give it the hell up. As for the DLC question, no, they've said they plan on bridging the entire gap between the two games many many times. There will be multiple DLC's likely running up to a year or half a year before ME3 comes out.

Ck out this post about the unused Audio, and a different take on how it was susposed to be used ingame.  Didymos was of the opinion that the audio was from content that got drastically rewritten but not completely removed, because it had you going after the SB, then hacking and going after the Observer, not just going after the SB.

I don't think the audio that has been found will have much if any bearing on the DLC given what was posted by Didymos, and listening to the audio he found.  I can't wait to see what they do with her character.

All that dialogue will be scrapped, mark my words. They've been refining the story and purpose that this quest line will have since it was removed from the game.

My thoughts are like this:

SB is an agent for the LoO(league of one, this is the only way i can see SB doing all "it" does). And she might have an option to join. And cause I haven't seen anything about those medallions.

Or, she becomes Consort, and has a thing with and for Shepard.

3rd option she might be an Ardat-Yakshi tht hasn't matured yet, afterall she is a pureblood.

Note: 3rd is not my choice.

I haven't found anything on LoO, or I just haven't looked in right place yet.

But I do like the Consort thing, because Shepard is going to need someone(he can trust) to help him with info.

Hey guys look at her outfit. Now look a Morden's. Now look at the empty lab station in the tec lab. {next to the door to the debrefing room}. Also see if you all can find where Ash and Kaiden will go.
I would put Ash in with Jacob. Kaiden well, that might be where you might not think. Where did we first see him in ME1? Joker's got a few empty seats. And since the comm. relay has been made the galley. There are a few others, the empty console next to Tali, sickbay, or the odd station left of Shep's Private terminal.

Yes, unfortunately none of the conspiracy theorists and general whiners ever considered that the mission might not have been removed to rip people off - it could have been removed to give it an extra ~7 months polish and expansion.

Of course, if the 'biggest expansion they've done, period' ends with the lines that were in the game... it's going to be, if not the biggest anticlimax Bio fans have run into, then certainly closely struggling for that position with Pinnacle Station... :)

I seriously doubt that the mere usage of the few files we heard can make a DLC as bad as Pinnacle Station. They give us a few clues as to what may happen but we are still largely in the dark and a lot of other things come into play when judging quality....things like story, polish, length, rewards and so on. Trying to argue that simply using the sound files we heard can make this DLC a complete failure is far more of a stretch than claiming it was cut to make up pay more which I'm not saying they did. At any rate your over dramatization is a million times worse than any conspiracy theorist's that I've seen around here.

Well the dialog sucks for one and ruins liara even more, so yes alot of us hope those lines are cut and never see the light of day again.

Here's another wild stretch. A few lines of dialogue(which were performed perfectly well as far as I can tell and have nothing wrong with them) "ruin" Liara. <_<

I mean seriously.....how do those lines "ruin" Liara? Sure she doesn't join the crew quite yet but who was ever really expecting her to? We all knew very well she was kept out of the game to keep her alive for ME3 and that's that which means that she won't patake in the suicide mission or anything else beyond this DLC.

I'm confident to the point of certainty that the unused Liara audio files extracted from the game disc are cut content, and little more than trash. Don't worry, we'll see when the DLC is released!

You're also confident they'll replace her present Illium model from the game

I wouldn't put too much faith in your confidence.

How about attempting to construct a rebuttal, rather than sardonically mocking and demeaning me, mein freund? Or, will you continue to post your rambling, incoherent and barely-literate "theories", which are little more than wildly-imaginative rubbish?

You're wrong, as you were before.

It's like you are agreeing with me until the final sentence. Overdramatisation? 'it was a joke' As indicated by the ':)' in the face.

The point is that the cut dialogue is a 10 second reset button. I'm not saying it 'ruins the character' or anything else. I'm saying that if it's implemented as originally seemed the intent, it would have been just another assigment (even though it's actually typed as a mission) in the chain, with Liara still sitting at her little office on Ilium, like nothing had happened.

This could still be a result. But it's gonna need some meat on the bones. :) (<- don't take it too seriously!)

I'm not even sure Liara would want to use her hypothetical power and influence in the capacity of an information broker. I think that she's destined to ultimately follow in Benezia's footsteps after all, and assume a position of power and influence as a leader in asari politics, society and culture. She finds significant aspects and elements of the information broker occupation to be quite distasteful and dislikes them, but I think that her compassionate personality would dictate that she wishes to use her power to help people, and make progressive reforms.

I think that might be one of the choices, presude her that it's better to use this network to hel her people and help during the war and unharden heror become the new SB and keep her harden personality.

I wouldn't like that. Because it will look like she's being set up for a support role in ME3 then!

bioware has already confirmed Miranda(male LI),wrex(female LI), Mordin(male LI), And legion(female LI) will be the only returning squadmates for ME3Posted Image
