Never assume a DLC's length based on its pricing.

MW2 Map Packs say hi.

There are existing DLC packs with which one can make a reasonable, educated guess, however. Taking into consideration the fact that this DLC also features five achievements, I think it's reasonable to assume that this DLC will be substantially more expansive than both Kasumi and Overlord.

Those achievements could be for anything.

Look at Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 DLCs.

Many more than 5 new achievements, but not a lot of new content.

Seriously, the 5 new achievements could be-

1. Collect all the intel for the location of TSB's base
2. Infiltrate TSB's base
3. Spare TSB
4. Kill TSB
5. Save Feron(optional)

And none of that hints to it being a long DLC. All that could take an hour.

I have no doubt this DLC will be longer and more enriching than ME2's last few DLCs, but my point is to not assume so quickly as it could lead to disappointment.

I'm being entirely neutral so I can be pleasantly surprised when the DLC hits the marketplace.

6.Turn youre PC/Xbox360
7.Boot youre game
8.Talk to Liara Posted Image

Real achievemnts would be:
1.Act like Deadpool (it's hard to be insane you know)
2.Make the SB scream from terror when you kill him
3.Have sex with Liara before in the middle and after the mision
4.Dont *facepawn*youreself as you see the giant logo Shadow Broker no here period
5.Make Liara kill Miranda and/or  convince her to come to youre cabin and work there

Just thought about the price. The game itself cost 49 bucks when it came out. This DLC's gonna be cost 10 bucks- 1/5 of the gameprice...so i wonder would it be long enough, just as 1/5 long of the game

DLC's don't use the same price basing as full games.

They are usually much shorter than 1/5th or 1/6th of the game time.

ME2 is a 30-40 hour game.

$60 when released(console as an example). LoTSB is $10. 1/6th ratio.

1/6th of 30 hours is 5 hours. 1/6th of 40 hours is about 6 hours, 40 minutes.

Meaning, if they followed the same price basing, for Lair of The Shadow Broker to be worth as much as the main game, it'd have to last anywhere from 5 hours to 6 2/3rds hours.

I'm going to assume it'll last 2 to 3 hours, but that long? Nah.

I'd love to be wrong though.

About Liara's lip colour - you can find millions of explanation for the colour change, for example: lipstick?

And about the DLC lenght, I just hope it will be more interesting and longer than the previous ones. Those had a nice story background and action, but the Shadow Broker is the object of curiosity for whole Mass Effect Universe. It should not be some trivial "break trough" mission, but maybe something more riddled, a dlc which action would be spread to few planets ( or at least places that are not in one and the same building ). Also the choice of commrades should have an influence on the progression in the DLC. Something that would make the game live again, not a pay-to-play trivial corridors full of enemies.

Above all this, I still think that there's no better game developer than BioWare for this job.

Yep, I know, it's just kind of joky trolling from me. I even don't think that this DLC will last more than 3 hours (at it's best), but I'm confused with the price, though. 10 dollars IS the money, so i want to get a product compared with this amount of cash.

Achievements are good only when they make sence giving you an achievement for something that you cant fail is just stupid like Recruit the Convict....is there a way to let her burn in Purgatory.Honestly I wont be suprised if Windows 8 has achievemnts like
Create a Folder
Boot you Windows
Move The Mouse
All because of that little prostitute in training The ****ish brothers the thing that looks like a hermo that doesnt know what German is  and that thing with the sparkly vampires wannabes

That is correct. If you feel like using those points, Overlord is always fun to go through. I'm pretty sure you'll have enough for a weapon pack as well, if you feel like trying out some new guns.

I had to save a lot to buy this card...so I was hoping to purchase the Lair dlc and the firepower pack

hmmm...I should have a few points left over right?

I'm excited....this is the first time for me to get Live, and to jump into the dlc hype

anyone know if that new weapon pack is good?

Liara looks kinda greenish in that screen.

Turquoise, and that's due to the lighting obviously.

Obiously it is not because of the lighting. She has BLUE stuff on her armor. Garrus has blue armor too in the same picture. She looks really weird in that pic.

have anyone speculated as to what the big surprise is, that no one from Bioware will tease in the trailer or in anyway before the dlc is released?

How can you compare it ?
I don't think these numbers help. Right now, the digital deluxe editon costs 12 € ( to me that translates to 15 bucks) And now we have a dlc which costs 2/3 of the main game. What do I make of it ?

I think the only safe assumption is it'll be longer than Overlord. Other than that, we'll have to wait a few more days...

Saw a dev post saying it was to be the first of the bridging DLC.  Don't know if this is true, or what they considered bridging DLC, but this is what I saw.

IF it truely is a bridging DLC then it would take place after the SM, and Liara MAY become a squadmate, since the option to kill her in the SM would then be gone.

Can't wait until it comes out to find out!!!

Yes, in this very thread. Just click on the thread's Bioware logo to view the dev posts.

This is our biggest DLC yet, period.

It also marks the real beginning where we expand the ME2 story in preparation for ME3.

As time gets closer to release, we'll have coverage on more of the awesome things you can expect out of LotSB
