Whether or not a casualty laden playthrough makes for better storytelling is up for debate. It depends on how you RP your Shepard.



Now that being said, on my main male Shep, I have four dead soldiers. Thane, Kasumi, Garrus and Samara all bite it. It's less about what makes a better story (although, yeah, this Shepard does kick a little) and more about how that comes into play in ME3. And it's not because I hate these characters. It's because I love them. And if, on the off-chance, the deaths on the suicide mission come into play, I want to feel the loss.



But in all eleven other playthroughs I plan on importing, everyone lives.

My first time Jack died because I incorrectly assumed that if I keep unloyals close to Shep there will be less chance for them to die.

my two main sheps will go with everyone alive, then I have others with various results
-All aliens dead
-All humans dead
-Only females survive
-Only ME1 team survives

etc...

Alright been working on this i like to do all loyalties to make sure the crew gets what they need done

Jack by not getting armor upgrade(shep makes very dramatic statment and is all like NOOOOOOOOO)

BTW i wish there were more specialty segments, I think bioware could have done a infiltration segment where a squad member had to break into a control center and open valves for tech expert rather than shep doing it, Thane needed something to do on suicide mission
