LIES!!!! oh wait I meant truth.   Actualy in all seriusness both builds are equaly viable (Dont compare to Awakening, all builds are broken in Awakening) there is sucha  thing as too much Dex and Cun Archers have quite a bit more Attack Score then you would think.

Also not directed at Siven but at everyone in general. Dont use solo archers as your base. Factor in a party as well.

And even solo a cunning archer can be surprisingly effective - at least in limited circumstances.  I was worried I would have trouble in the proving grounds and the landsmeet but I didn't.  Far Song + Repeater Gloves, Aim + SoC, add in dirty fighting, pinning shot, shattering shot, stealth...Loghain was not a problem.
