I thought 'guyder' myself, but I've come to the conclusion my pronounciation/accent is a minority round here. (I didn't get the 'Mike Hawke' joke until I heard the name in a dev interview... I pronounce 'Hawke' more like 'Hawwwke' than 'Hahhhke'... If that makes any sense).

Eheh he he... it does.

*I like the second joke most.

Perhaps the guys in the writer's pit could make a video of themselves working. So then after the game they're working on has been released, they could release a video of compiled highlights.

I would say David's more like General Zod... ;)

Yeah. Definitely more Zod.

Yes, the writers here have warped me in ways I have yet to understand. :)

And I didn't even show you the fluffy mackerel pudding recipe yet!

UUuuuuhhhh, this???

haha- Lord Zedd... his spiky hemet and armor would fit right in with DA2 though!

And seems they put up part 3 of the interview with Gaider too.

A person that commits suicide gives up, and does not think or even consider what their action has on the people that care about him or her. As the saying goes suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem.  it is a serious issue but in the end I have no repect for people that take that easy way out. David said nothing out of line from what I've read.

Clinical Depression.

Read up about it.

Making jokes about slitting wrists is not funny Mr. Gaider. It's a very serious and hurtful issue.

Only if you do it wrong.

Yeah, the person's right...I would recommend learning if not from the original comment, then from your own reply..this is weak and child-like, making further jokes when confronted with the gravity of the issue. People kind of die from slitting wrists, and typically not because of stupidity, but due to depression or mental health illnesses? No real room for humour, I'm afraid.

So you know someone who committed suicide and now every suicide joke is insulting? Wow, you either need to lighten up or grow up:whistle:

Truly, we should never consider cruel jokes a faux pas, since these situations which may often transpire, and in principle are painful to the ones involved, are humorous to the ones not directly affected. We too, can all apparentely laugh at cruel race and rape jokes, can we not? Oh, right, we should not, and perhaps with good reason. Seems to be quite a variety of double standards gracing us with their presence tonight, and in an ironic twist I'm about to use one myself; saying 'slashing your wrists' as a colloquialism and for expression's sake is one thing, making light of a serious issue in a dismissive manner is another.

If you have the collectors edition of Dragon Age Origins, You can see Mr. Gaider in there commenting about the story for dragon. Its more updated view than the older picture that was put up with that interview.

Here's a more recent picture from the thread about the plushies:

It's difficult to see the aura of malevolence when he's hugging plushies. You gotta squint real hard.

I bet that's part of THE PIT behind him.

I want a Sten plushy. I want a Sten plushy right now.

He'd look great next to my "My Little Cthulhu" doll.

IIRC Mary got the Sten and Cheryl got the Oghren. David kept the Alistair. I think they were handmade ones but I wish they'd produce them commercially. I'd totally buy one.

I also wish the action figures were better quality because I'd buy them all. *kicks a pebble*

I have a Chthulhu plushie. He's cute. He wears silly hats most of the time.

EDIT: Hmmm, I'm finding the image of Shale as a sassy black woman rather interesting. Man, now I'm getting flashes of Tara from True Blood.

And really, look at Planescape:Torment and tell me that isn't art? David, I love you. I decided to re-contemplate that particular artwork only this morning. Its like I pre-empted the end of the article.

While reading the 3rd part of the interview, especially regarding the part of Alistair's personality overhaul, this image popped in my head:

Can't say I'm complainin'! Despite the difficulties faced, glad that it all worked out in the end :)

And dammit, those are fine plushies *envy*

I think that was actually before we all got moved into the Pit. David was in a room with some important people. I was on the other side of the building in another room. Luke was next door to me.  Jennifer and Mary were still exiled to the second floor.

Aww...now I wish that Morrigan as Delirium had actually happened (even if Death is my favorite of the Endless.) That would have had many levels of awesome.

Denial is the first step to recovery

Also I don't know if this has been asked but I know the name Morrigan has been used more than once by Mr. Gaider. Once to name the wife of Carth Onasi in KOTOR and here in DA:O. I'm curious if there is something special about the name. If so what is it? :)
