Hi Everyone,

To make the the process smoother these are the steps for dealing with a damaged Lithograph.

1) Please open a support case and include the following.

1
-A digital photo or photos of
the damage and one that includes the lithograph number(s).

2-
-Include in your email the limited
edition number.

3-
-Destroy this litho by hand tearing off
the signature and number and provide the photo to us.

Once all ths is done we will send you replacement Lithographs. This is done for a few reasons. Since we don't want to cause additional delay we're using the honor system on determining damage. We also want to make sure that if some is requesting a replacement that the damage Lithograph is destroyed. Additionally is the number of damages exceeds our hold back, which at the moment it doesn't appear that it will, we'll be able to have additional prints signed with the destroyed numbers. Finally it ensures no "damaged" lithographs end up on Ebay.

Thanks,
Jed

any chance of a reprint if we want to keep our numbers? I'm sure if someone receives a #1/500 they won't want to destroy that one only to get a 499/500.

P.S. Also anything for the people who get the gift lithos damaged?

Does it have to be hand torn? The image itself would be nice to preserve, and I don't think I could do it perfectly enough to avoid tearing the image as well. Could we cut it off, then tear up the signature/# and provide pics of them?

The whole idea is to destroy it... The most likely reason they aren't having you send them back is that it would be a huge inconvenience for everyone with damaged prints.

It is completely possible to hand-tear the sig/# without damaging the picture, so why not just make it simple to preserve the image, since people are going to do it anyway? Nobody is going to buy one thinking it is legit regardless of whether or not the sig/# was scissor-cut or carefully hand-torn.

well with your suggestion, Jed might now suggest that you tear the image in half instead. That will prevent any abuse of this policy

The reason we are requiring that we be provided with the Lithograph number and that it be hand torn is that if people would like a replacement or a refund we want to original destroyed. This is both to prevent abuse and also allow us to re-issue additional lithographs with numbers of destroyed lithographs without the concern of having two of the same number show up.

Sounds like a good plan.

The act of destroying the original would...be tough. Heart breaking! haha, but good to know that a replacement will be sent.

Thanks Jedi, you take such good care of us.

I'm with you here...but I guess that still leaves an extra print on the market, signed or not.
You'll be getting a replacement so nothing has really changed. We can't expect a freebie out of all this as well. Jedi is being nice enough I recon.

Might I suggest that we tear the whole thing in half instead? I definitely would cringe at doing this but this would allow you to fully know that it won't show up anywhere else and that there will be no duplicates. I guess you can tear the number and signature as well for extra insurance.

Also, would you be able to address by second post in this thread Jed?

I'm not looking for a freebie, I just think it would be nice to preserve just the image. It still has next to no resale value, and it will be neither signed or numbered. It just seems like a shame to let them all go to waste.

I disagree about the image having no value - they are releasing the minis with no signature or number. I think tearing the entire image makes sense.

My God people, just take a deep breath and tear the bastards, lol. Jed said they will reissue you the same number. It won't kill you inside.... will it?

Reread Jed's post, he didn't say he will reissue the same number, only if they run out of replacements will they reprint the ones that were confirmed as destroyed. That's why I'm a bit concerned. If you get a damaged 1/500, you'd probably want to keep that instead of exchanging it for 245/500.

Yeah, I have some low double-digit lithos and I would hate to get #410 or something in its place.

I also think the image should be ripped in half. Signed or not, the lithograph image does hold value. Wasn't this the reason that the extra Illiums wern't sold?

Fine, I'll rip it in half, just to resist the temptation. I would like an answer to the #'s question though. It's a big deal to me.

tearing off the name and number is very easy to fake with photoshop if you know what your doing.

i wont tell you how to do it, you can figure that out yourself if you "really" want to scam Bioware into giving you anoth litho. which i know some people here do (looks at the latest omega litho ebay posting)
i'm just saying that seeing how honorable some people on this forum are concerning these lithographs. the honor system might not be the best way to see if someone indeed needs a replacment and has ripped his lithograph in half.

according to Jedi, you are not forced to rip the whole lithograph apart, only the signature and number that confirms its legit.

so I opened a case, but I have no idea how to edit it, since I opened another earlier saying I did not have access to a camera. Is there anywhere I can read how to navigate in in the support section, and how to use the case function correctly?

My Normandy litho hasn't even arrived yet. I really hope it is in good condition or that the Bioware Store has still a replacement left in case i need one. As far as i know german customs: they keep it for a while until the realize that they are just to lazy to check it (30$+Shipping isn't that much), and then they forward it.
