I dont kill Loghain since, Riordian, you know the guy with 20 times the experience you or alistair have, the one who was tortured by Loghain, and one who lost many friends at Ostagar tells me to stop.

He's also the guy who thought jumping onto the Archdemon's back in the middle of the fight was a viable strategy. I'd take his advice with a grain of salt. While Duncan seemed very good at reading people and situations, his fellow Warden seemed a much more gullible and foolish man.

Not that I'm saying Duncan is foolish, but it's unfair to compare the two. Duncan was the one who had Alistair in his charge for six months as a Grey Warden, took him to a few darkspawn battles knowing it was as blight, and never bothered telling Alistair what happens when the Archdemon dies.

I'm not sure how Riordan could be considered gullible or foolish, other than that you disagree with his wounding of the Archdemon.

There's how he gets captured by Loghain and kept prisoner for several months and how entirely ass backwards his approach at revealing why you need more Gray Wardens. The man is not a master of tact and subterfuge. He seems capable warrior but that's it.

My Warden often approaches that situation very practical, and trusts Riordan wouldn't even consider conscription unless it was a very viable/needed/helpful option. Another huge factor is the whole decapitation in front of Anora. My Warden's conscience can deal with Alistair hating him forever. I don't think it could handle killing someone's father in front of them like that especially when there is an alternate option. Even my Cousland wouldn't do that to Howe's children despite how awful he was to my Cousland. My City Elf is another story it would be quite hard for him not to end Loghain's life there. The slavery was probably the breaking point, and the fact under Cailan and Anora City Elf life wasn't any good anyways. He would probably concede to Alistair or do it himself.

If you let Loghain live through the battle then Alistair can see Loghain from where he's standing during the coronation. The conversation would probably go better if the pair were in a different room, at least. As Loghain gets sent off to Orlais should he live, that should calm Alistair down.

I Alistair's defense, he seems to have forgiven you once DAA begins. (Or lazy devs didn't care to develop their quarrel further)

Yes, Alistair seemed quite happy in DAA in the game I married him to Anora and Loghain took the final blow.
