Not if the trend of trying to appease console market will continue. I wish Bioware never developed games for consoles. Not only do we have to live with their technical limitations, delayed releases and other crap, they are also dumbing down games for console users.

Nope. What, maybe you didn't like the way ME2 was? Personally, I didn't find the changes to combat to be that important, but I don't care about combat. BioWare isn't special on the combat front, they're special on the story front.

In any case, I don't see how one game that you didn't like negates the past ten years. Because you might not like DA2? I agree with Dave. I think a ton of people are going to go out and buy the game and hide the fact that they ever said anything bad as a shameful secret. And then when the next game comes out, and you're displeased then, you can all say "it should be more like DA2! They're failing us!" and completely forget you didn't like the changes then and said the same thing about that game.

I disagree. Some will continue to maintain the game sucks despite all sales figures, critical reviews, or any other measurable reflection of the game's quality. If tons of people like it, why that just proves that people are sheep, obviously!

Why do console gamers have to be stupid? I don't understand this whole mentality. I own all major consoles and play on the PC as well and I hardly consider myself stupid (maybe a bit dumb, I'll grant you that). I have many friends who play console exclusively and they're not stupid either. It's a good option for people who may not be able to afford a good PC for gaming. A lot of Origins gamers are console only and are just as passionate about the game as well. I just don't see the association where producing for consoles = a game is going to be made for idiots who don't know a video game from their buttcheek. There are massive numbers of morons who play PC games too.

Well, Awakening dealt a blow to my faith in Bioware. It wasn't lacking in quality, but it was way too short. I felt they only gave us a sample size of the best parts rather than the meal we paid for. The fact that DA2 is coming out so shortly after Awakening makes me think that this might happen again.
I'm wary of what I've heard about the changes coming in DA2, but not so much that I'm boycotting it. This time around I will be reading reviews rather than buying it the second it's out. I fear that Bioware is trying to expand their market to sell more games, and just taking it as granted that their base (RPG fans) are going to buy no matter what they're selling.

I really hope that isn't true, and if it isn't and DA2 turns out to be the very best RPG ever made, I'll be the first one to say "Wow, I was wrong, how stupid I was. I should go back in time and hit myself with a frozen salmon."

I haven't lost faith in Bioware, but DA2 is going into a direction I personally don't care as much for as DA:O, so I'm probably not buying it and hope for another game that'll interest me more. I just hope Bioware won't continue only making Mass Effect-clones, as much as I loved ME, DA a different game and should play different, and I liked DA:O as it was. Hawke my a..., I can play Geralt instead.

Have I lost all faith in BioWare? No. Am I worried about some of the choices and changes they're making regarding the direction of Dragon Age? Definitely. Will I automatically buy DA2 just because its BioWare? After ME2 PC and Awakening, I'll definitely be holding out and doing my homework before buying DA2.



Although if BioWare would just wrap up the Warden/Morrigan storyline before DA2, they can do whatever the hell they want with Hawke....

Or love it, but go on bashing it anyway just so they don't have to admit they were wrong.  Seen this before as well.

It's amazing that, whenever a new comic book movie is released, fans hate it. Everything about it. Sometimes they continue hating on it. That doesn't stop them from going to see it and buying it later.
