Okay, I know the mods don't necessarily want the entire forum swarming around them whenever people realize they're currently on the forums and active, but there are situations where trying to get the quickest response seems prudent. For instance, a troll who decides they want to post obscene images every five minutes for a couple hours. But more likely, the spammers that make the rounds on the forums and blogs.

With the "Report Post" and "Report this Person" features, the complaint has to go through a system that doesn't seem to be addressed immediately. It's faster to get a response by sending a PM to a moderator directly.

The problem is that because we never know which moderator is online at the time, you'd have to send a PM to a dozen of them hoping you catch one who happens to be around. Another mod might not see the PM until half a day later. This goes for threads spiralling out of control as well, it would help if we could draw a moderator's attention before the situation spirals out of control.

So my request is either some feature that lets us know which mod to contact at which times or, like, people using some thread (like this one) to report spammers that the mods could check as they log in.

Maybe they should have "Who's Online" feature on the portal site mayhaps? Sort of like how forums do it, but instead show what moderators and members are online. But then again, it might not work as most people usually hide their online status.

The best way to get these people is to alert myself, Victor or other BioWare staff and volunteer moderators. The report function also works well, but we have to sift through whatever has been reported, so that can take time.
