So I updated to 1.01 and now I can't play the game because your copy protection doesn't want to "validate" my already valid registration.

I've been to the other threads and there's nothing helpful to be found.

Here's what I want.

I want a BioWare/EA rep (not some forum goer) to  recognize the issue and either
1) Release a patch that fixes the problem
2) Give step by step instructions to fix the problem.

Right now, my feeling is I paid $60 for something that doesn't work.  I can't play it.  The only reason I can't enjoy it is because I bought it.

Get the hint?

Fix this issue, and make it easy, 'cause it's going to be a lot easier for me to deal with ME:2 issues if you don't resolve this to my satisfaction.

Problem has been found to be an Impulse patch issue. The patch from here works

Patch from where? Where's the link to the patch? I can't find it in that thread.

Does it install over 1.01 from impulse? What are the steps I need to follow? Will there be any other issues after install?

...

So far, not helping...

So... where's the step by step instructions that a user can follow?

Maybe you'd like to break it down for me? Or do you just like linking to nonsense?

Do I uninstall and re-install? The post isn't clear if that's required. If I have to uninstall, do I lose my characters?

A user created fix?  Really?  So Bioware cannot even fix their own crap?  They have to rely on someone else to fix their bugs?  I so love this giant beta test that has been foisted onto us.  I agree wth the OP, someone from Bioware needs to get their head out of their ass and fix THEIR screwed up game or issue credits for this stupid thing since no store will ever take it back after being opened.  I continue to wait for a resolution to my support e-mail from SUNDAY.  If I was this non-responsive in my job, I would be fired.  Too bad I have zero recourse against Bioware for releasing such a worthless product.

It's actually on the side of Impulse...  That part was tested too.

Lore_Weaver,

You don't have to uninstall reinstall, you just need the version of the file mentioned in the last part of the thread.  I believe it's currently up on Rapidshare.

I believe that the person who realized the fix is posting on Impulse, and hopefully we'll see a fix soon.
