Hi,
I seem to be having a problem with the Mass Effect 2 Installer.
I was able to install the Firepower pack, Aegis Pack, Cerberus Arc Pack, Cerberus WpnArmor pack correctly and have them in game.
Then I installed the Firewalker pack and that seemed to work correctly.
The problem is when I tried to install any of the other packs, now they all just extract the DLC_UNC_Hammer files. And when I try to reinstall one of the packs that I already installed correctly above it just says DLC_UNC_Hammer instead of the correct files. I tried deleting the ME2_Hammerhead.exe file but it still just unpacks the DLC_UNC_Hammer files.
I'm running WIndows 7 64 bit. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Hardly anyone is here. It's summer, it's a weekend, yadda yadda.
I never had the problem, and can't suggest a thing. The paid help at EA is available, if you need official assistance, but the members here are mostly all outdoors today, enjoying other things besides forums on the 'net.
The archives are available, as you should be aware. However, you will get poor results from the forum's own bad excuse for "Find", so use either the Google or Yahoo, whichever you like best, and add this:

For hammerhead, did you connect to the Cerberus network after you installed?? The dlc has to be activated by connecting to the server in game before turning on any dlc.

Thanks, mcsupersport, that fixed a problem for me. I had one DLC install flawlessly, then two didn't show up. Tried connecting to Cerberus Network and it showed up just fine. Thanks!
That's not entirely true. Some of us are (hopelessly) glued to our monitors playing Mass Effect 2 (for the first time). Besides, It's too hot here to do anything outside short of skinny-dipping in a vat of icewater.Gorath Alpha wrote...

I'm in the Southern Hemisphere, so winter here and I'm stuck to the monitor. Although after the mental image Baramon conjured, I might send my brain swimming in a vat of bleach.

Silly question #795: How do I tell which DLC I have installed in my game? I know which ones I've downloaded, which ones I want to get, but is there an "easy" to tell which ones the game actually recognizes?

You get an email as soon as you get onto the Normandy with a lot of info about DLC, and some more emails after Horizon.
A quick way to see which ones the game actually recognises to be installed, would be to create a simple profile on the forums, and then log into it in game. It will tell you to log in using the account which has the listed DLC registered to it.
Or, you could look at your program files/bioware/mass effect 2/biogame/dlc folder, and compare the entries in it to this thread

Oh, and to save time, the answer to your question in teh other thread, just install the DX9.0c runtimes. It will auto-update and corrupt or missing DX9 entries it finds.

Ah, cool, that's what I was looking for (that link). Some way to tell what I was supposed to (or potentially could) have compared to what I do have. Thanks!
