Well, this thread has been one wild ride regardless if the VS is in the last DLC or not. I was happy to be a part of it. Thanks a lot Brodyaha and Chignon. Its been great. :)

Agree! But not only a big fat thanks to Brody & Chig but also to everyone who posted and keep this Thread alive!

Maybe the Alliance will send one of their operatives with Shepard? Otherwise why should Hackett be involved? Shepard isn't technically with the Alliance anymore.

I thought about this too.  I know Hackett has your back, but on paper the Alliance still doesn't trust Shepard.  So it would make sense for Hackett to be like "We need you to do this thing, but we're sending one of our people with you.  Don't worry, you know her.  It's just because we have to."  Enter Ashley.

And then.... enter Ashley.

Oh god I'm terrible this morning. I'm so sorry.  :innocent:

has anyone thought about the possibility that BW havent showed or mentioned the VS to be in the DLC because they arnt through the roof with their popularity. so in doing so, they wouldnt harm their standings among other groups of fans

I think Ashley and Kaiden were abandoned for the new squad members. I hate that it happened, but what can you do?

Not this, but I can understand them not showing either of them since it would be different for everyone.

If Ashley and Kaidan are abandoned I'll be extremly upset with bioware. They take two of the most popular characters and throw them away for what? >:/ i don't even wanna think about it.

This made me laugh hysterically for some reason.
Probably because it's true.

If you guys will remember, Garrus was never announced as a squadmate. There is a real good chance the VS will be making a return in this DLC.

Maybe Bioware abandoned them in ME2 to make them more popular so fans will adore their return in ME3.

The VS darn well had better be in ME3!

I want my Krogan-Ashley tag team back!

I'm not sure if the information is accurate, but everything I'm reading says this is the "last ME2 dlc".

Which means if this is true and the VS does not make an appearance (perish the thought!), then they will not be seen again until Mass Effect 3.

It's make or break time for Bioware regarding the VS.

I'm already assigning the Normandy's surplus personnel to manufacturing flaming torches and other angry mob paraphrenalia.

Just in case.......

846 members in the Kaidan/Ashley DLC group so I think everyone should be proud of that, no matter what happens in this DLC <3

A deep cover agent is missing in Batarian space, after reporting evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion. Shepard must travel to the edge of the galaxy, rescue the agent, and discover the truth behind the Arrival. Uncover new research and 3 new achievements in this spectacular new adventure for Mass Effect 2

A deep under over agent?

Kaidan/Ashley?

They did get promoted during the 2 year span between the games, maybe they were sent in undercover as apart of the group/mercs that is holding Kenson hostage but the Alliance has gotten dead air since, and turns to Shep for a last chance saloon?

maybe throughout the mission we see a blue suns trooper running round the station, but we will only see them at intervals, and maybe one time they can run straight across a corridor shep is walking down.

anyways shep can get into a bit of trouble and then this blue suns trooper can run on with a squad or two and save Shepard after that they take their helmet of and BLAM its the VS and their undercover unit that was sent to retrieve the doctor.

i dont know if it could work but it sounded cool, like having the idea of us seeing this blue suns trooper running round doing w/e in cutscenes and maybe one time where we are playing the game, then having them turn out to be ashley or kaidan.

The thing is we know that Dr. Amanda Kenson is just a scientific researcher at Acturus University.... or at least her cover story... but if she is just a researcher that doesn't exactly quality one's self for secret undercover Alliance Operative work deep inside of all places Batarian Space... something that Ashley or Kaidan SHOULD have been doing...

If Kenson was the "operative" what the hell were they [meaning BioWare AND the Alliance] thinking sending a civilian researcher or some mediocre pion on a task like this instead of Operations Chief Williams or Commander Alenko?

If Kaidan / Ashley ar NOT in this DLC i will be really, really angry, sad ... whatever.

Bioware should not start a romance in a game if they are not willing to continue them.

It will continue in ME3.
