If Kaidan / Ashley ar NOT in this DLC i will be really, really angry, sad ... whatever.
Bioware should not start a romance in a game if they are not willing to continue them.
.
It will continue in ME3.
The Liara-romance WAS important enough to be continued in a ME2 DLC .... But the Kaidan / Ashley Fans are NOT important enough ....
In a official thread (old Forum) the told us the romances will ALL be continued in ME2 ..... so mutch about Bioware and how they care about their fans.
.
Liara is pivotile to the plot, her background is more devolped ( Graphic Novel ) and she is the reason Shepard is alive. Of course they continued the story.
Im not at fan of Ashley or Kaidan, but you cant expect them to expound on every story arc. They take the more popular or more developed and run with it.
I kinda feel sorry for the Femsheps, Kaidan should have been included as a shipmate or something, of all the LI's for femshep in ME2, your choices are, a frog , a lizard , and a plank of wood.

Correction: A dying frog, a lizard who is more interest in callabrations, and a plank of wood who has the odd characteristic of streching out words(the priiiiiiiiiiiiize.......).

You know what? I'm not the biggest Kaiden/Ashley fan in the world, but you guys seem nice enough I'll join your group to show some unity.
Its kinda like voting-- it means nothing, but it makes me feel good inside.
That's very nice, thank you!

Q: Lair of the Shadow Broker allowed you to rekindle your romance with Liara. Will Arrival offer the same for the Virmire Survivor (Ashley or Kaidan)?
A: Unfortunately, no. I'm sad about this, but I hope it means that Kaidan/Ashley's role in Mass Effect 3 is super awesome.
That sucks BioWare, it really does.

This is just my personal feeling but I think they should have included a 3rd option on who to chose to save , that option being to have Kaidan set the bomb and Ashley hold it straight for him.
I hated both of those Characters.

One looks like it was from an early version of the game, the other is a highlight reel of sorts.
Anyway, I found some VS survivor images in them.
Kaiden didn't feature much in them, since they were designed for MaleShep and his LI is Ashley.

These three show a mission briefing that was removed from the game at a later point.

The Mako being launched.
I always wondered if it had a cockpit. I never noticed the windows before (maybe because I always saw it from behind).
And why is Ashley the only one wearing a helmet? Shepherd, Garrus, Safety first!!!!
This is interesting, because it shows the helmet visor can move and it polarizes.
When Ashley touches the side of her helmet, the visor drops down and goes dark.
We've only seen this polarization one other time, the Batarian Kafka who was working on the gunship.

One of the rare shots with Kaiden in it.

Suspicious Ashley

Do you really want to make this girl angry?

This is of note now!
I only got to try out the first mission.......
And therefore, there is still hope.

Seems like there's little purpose to this thread anymore.
Its purpose started diminishing as soon as Arrival was announced.
This is BioWare's last DLC, regardless if the VS is in it or not.

The glass is 50% full of both air and liquid, I'm not sure which volume I should believe in.
My first instinct is that Bioware have either pushed the VS aside or they're saving them for a big return in Mass Effect 3.
Either way, this most likely means the VS will not be in Arrival.
But the optimist in me insists on waiting to see what happens when I finish playing Arrival, it could be the VS makes an appearance.
I'm requistioning a bulk order of Phoenix armor and preparing to drop it on Alliance Headquarters if they don't produce the VS.......
It be raining armor!

maybe their saving the VS to bust shep out if he gets captured or something :/ what you guys think ?
That's what I'm hoping. Saving Shepard would make up for this wait and charade.

PLUS, no VS.
A mission where you're asked personally by Anderson and Hackett to help is the perfect set up to have Kaidan or Ashley help and to re-establish the friendship/relationship. But apparently BW has their favorite little darlings--ones that were written for ME2 not ME1. And all their lip serivce about all LI's being equal is just crap.
I think in protest I'm going to finally play Final Fantasy 13 on the day that I originally took off for the DLC.

I was hoping that they'd save him too, but if that was the case why would IGN not say that there was still a chance? Why did they flat out say no? It makes me think Bioware told them no.
That's what I'm thinking because Kristine Steimer, who wrote the article, is a Kaidan fangirl so I'm sure she made a point to find out. I'm still hoping he is at least mentioned though =/

If a mention consists of another disparaging, underhanded attack, I think I'd rather there not be any.

I think that BioWare chosing to make this a solo mission is just lazy on their part. They don't want to deal with who may or may not be alive. So they don't let you take anyone.

Meh, a solo mision doesn't really bother me. Characters are so silent in most missions I consider them solo anyway.
Lack of VS, however really bugs me. If it turns out to be true, it'll pretty much confirm Bioware favoritism in my mind. They really got shafted on Horizon, and there was a golden opportunity to make up for it here.
Whatever's in store in ME 3 better be absolutely incredible. Seeing him/her on a stone throne is not gonna cut it.
