I will play it tomorrow and see if what that dude says is true. And I will try to glean info on Kaidan and Ashley, and hopefully some others will too.

And if they aren't in it, then we campaign for them in ME3. And more than just as stupid encounters on Horizon where people derp derp.

It looks like we'll have to pin all our hopes on Mass Effect 3 for the VS appearance now.
And hope Bioware learned their lesson about minimalizing that character.

The first mission I want in Mass Effect 3 is a recruitment mission to add the VS as a returning squadmate.
Otherwise I'll let Earth be invaded by Reapers until I get them back......

The DLC can be completed before beating the game. How could Shepard be sent to trial at the end then? He wouldn't be able to stop the Collectors. That makes no sense.

He used info from that 20 minute demo people have seen and nothing else.

Miranda and TIM and Dr. Chakwas were there too. You can see them better in the stills they show in the official Arrival spoilers thread. I just hope the characters they show depend on who you still have alive on your crew.

What frightens me more than anything about that video is the immediate thought, "So everyone is abducted and this is the excuse they're going with to toss a whole new squad on Shepard."

I see the ten ME2 squadmates (no DLC) together in one shot; tiM, someone in front of tIM, Ashley, Joker, Chakwas, Jacob, Miranda, Grunt, Mordin, (possibly Kaidan on the far left, but I think I'm grasping at straws) in another; Garrus, Ashley, tIM, and Miranda in the other.

I'll admit, that's more Ashley than I was expecting.

I don't even know where that video comes in, though it might have something to do with the surviving all 5 waves thing. That's the one thing I didn't manage to do.

All in all the DLC was kind of weak. It certainly wasn't Lair of the Shadow Broker. Hell, even Overlord may have been better. It's hard to say.

In any case, it's too bad the VS didn't show up.

Really?  What I got was Shepard's subconscious throwing a dream sequence at he in which she remembers the people she's worked with and, because she failed in slowing the Reapers, she let her people down.

Life flashing before her eyes and all that.

Also, lack of Kaishley makes me sad in the pants, but at least it's been confirmed we'll see him/her in ME3 again.

So that video with all the Reapers shows up if you fail to destroy the Relay in time. Which also leads to a critical mission failure.

Yes, so presumably, the squad we see on Illium are the people that will be playing a role in ME3. The video is more a quick epilogue and vision of the destruction of the galaxy and all the people that matter to Shep. Because the VS is in there, it would be utterly preposterous to think they won't be in ME3. Existence confirmed. But, because VS is with the crew along with TIM and Chakwas, it cannot be confirmed that they are a squad member and might play a NPC role like they did in ME2, though hopefully more than that.
