Could mean something. Could mean nothing at all.  But this is interesting. I watched it carefully and saw this.

If I'm going to do the Admiral a favor, the least he can do is give me Ashley back!
Hmm, tempted to kidnap him and hold him ransom in exchange for Ashley now.....

Well, I think it's time to close the book on this chapter, then throw the book at someone!
"Miranda, show me if you can do a biotic book throw, I want it to move with as much force as possible!"

It looks like we'll have to pin all our hopes on Mass Effect 3 for the VS appearance now.
And hope Bioware learned their lesson about minimalizing that character.

*gives stony glare*
The first mission I want in Mass Effect 3 is a recruitment mission to add the VS as a returning squadmate.
Otherwise I'll let Earth be invaded by Reapers until I get them back......

I agree with Tilarta, well said on all accounts. I laughed so stinkin hard at the close the book and throw it at someone.
Just finished Arrival it wasn't all that impressive. My reunion with Kaidan better be beyond epic in Mass Effect 3. I mean like "omg that just blew my mind" epic and  worth the 3 year wait ....or is it 4 years? When did the orginal Mass Effect come out? However long it has been too long and it better be worth it. Other wise I might punch Bioware in the throat.

Xbox 360 version of ME1 was released in 2007
PC Port was released in 2008.

So four years on Xbox, 3 years on PC.

Bah! - very sad we have no Kaidan/Ashley in Arrival. Still, it looked more shooter than story, so probably wasn't going to be my sort of thing anyway.

Please keep the thread going, Brodyaha! It's one of the few I always check when I read the Bioware forums, and I'll be popping back more regularly as we get closer to ME3.

It's a good thing I wasn't expecting to see the VS in this DLC.

They'd better get an epic introduction in Mass Effect 3 after crushing our hopes like this.
At the very least, I want to see them solar flare surfing on a dead Reaper.

But I do have a bone to pick with the guy who put in the scripted line just to twist the knife.

My VS is and always was Ashley Williams.

At some point during the hordes of Indoctrinated mind zombies, one of them announces his name over the comms, Williams.

Gee, thanks a lot for that!

When I find out who put that line in the DLC, they're going to get some private time with me, Grunt and the Quadtickler.
And trust me, it's not as fun as it sounds......

Still overall, I did have fun, it was fun to meet Harbinger in the hologram and avert a Reaper invasion.

Excuse me while I go to give Admiral Hackett his meal rations for the day, he should have known better then to visit my ship after not delivering Ashley......

Very nice Halo Reach reference. Very well done.

Sure is relevant let me tell you because nowadays I look back on Virmire and blame it for all the problems in the relationship with Ashley.
If you didn't have to pick one alliance soldier over the other then they both could survive and they wouldn't get lumped into the same character slot for later games and underserved as a result of it...

But whatever, problems are problems but I am absolved to move on from this and get ready for Mass Effect 3.
Enough tears for the past, let's look to the future.

You know what? Never thought I'd be saying this, but after playing Arrival, I'm glad that Ashley and Kaidan weren't in it, the way it's set up. They wouldn't have gotten the justice they deserved.

Had this DLC been in the cooker for longer, extended, given more story/dialogue/choices, and they still hadn't made an appearance, I would've been even more disappointed. But this DLC is not the highest-quality that I've played.

To me it was witch hunt all over again, yeah you see a familar face but its a pretty crappy, half thought, Micheal Bay explosion fest, that leaves more bad taste in your mouth then any sense of satisfaction.  Thats two Bioware "finalie" dlc's that followed a bang boom enjoyable dlc's, that were supposed to "tie up loose ends" that left more loose ends.  I dunno thats just my two cents

Well, good for you for wanting to kill a character for no apparent good reason.

She has every right to question why Shepard is with Cerberus. They committed many atrocious things in ME2, especially as a Sole Survivor Shep. And then we're railroaded to being with them and all of a sudden they're the 'good guys"? Plus, she's helping Shepard by working with Anderson somehow to investigate the Reaper threat.

Funny realization:

In the old days, people complained about the Mako, it got removed.  People complained about the elevators, they got removed.  People complained about the inventory, it got removed.  People complained about Kaidan and Ashley, they got...

Hrrm.  Nevermind, I'm probably just being paranoid again.
