Yeah, I'd like to choose how to respond.

But it'd mostly be Renegade, Renegade, Renegade, unless I'm talking to a friend (such as Anderson, Garrus, Miranda or somebody).

Basically, I'm taking the view that I don't need the Alliance anymore to do the job, so why should I put all with all their political BS?

And that's really what this is about, the Batarians being pains in the neck.

Maybe I shouldn't have tried to warn the colony to evacuate........

Well, what is Shepard supposed to say?

"Yeah, sorry, I blew up your system. Leave now!"

I'm sure many would think it's a joke.

"I'm on an asteroid about to smash into a mass relay and make it explode".

But seriously, the Batarians knew full well about the plan to destroy the mass relay, even if they didn't know where the asteroid was.

So they wouldn't have been surprised when someone contacts them and tells them to get the heck out of dodge.

What is really puzzling to me is this:
Is 2 hours enough time to evacuate 300000 people from an entire planet?
Some might get away if they were close to their ships and if they were in ships in orbit, then they'd be the first ones to leave.

And then they'd have to get to the mass relay first, before it was destroyed, in order to avoid being trapped near the system.

I think even my renegade Shepards will try to be diplomatic with the Alliance (depending on how they treat them, of course) because s/he'd much rather remain in the Alliance than be a part of Cerberus or go at it alone. As for the trial, I think I'd like to see the whole thing, too, and have the attack happen either just before or just after the verdict is read. For an example, see: Ghostbusters II.

After their lovely reaction to my Shepard on Freedoms Point, what I want is the option to tell them to go to hell. But that's just me. :P

I'm sure an angry response or two will be alvaible.  I find it interesting that they have been made spectres.  It adds a little to their character.

I don't think this is the official magazine.  I looked at the scans, which I'm not sure we're even allowed to post here.  It seems suspect to me.  I mean I'd like to believe but this looks pretty poorly put together.  The only legit thing are the quotes from C-Hud and some other guy but if those are false, this mag is in deep crap right?

Well they did screwed up with Sander since Bioware confirmed he is not Big ben Sniper and I'm sure Garrus is NOT Renegade.

This is what I'm saying.  At first glance it seems like most of the info is accurate and all things we already knew.  Then there are the things thrown in like:

Jack is a a confirmed squadmate and has a softer look.
Big Ben is James Sanders.
Ash/Kaidan is a Spectre.

....I mean....?????

Hmm, I'm uncertain about some of the facts in that article now, considering it may not be genuine.

VS a Spectre?
I got the impression they were still working for the Alliance, but had just moved up in rank or gotten a "special assignment" to be the Alliance's version of a Spectre.
Also, Kaiden's not a Soldier! He's a biotic based class (I don't know which one, does anyone know?)

I heard nothing about Liara so far.

Thane not loyal?
He was one of the most dedicated members of the team!

Legion a defector?
He wasn't defecting from the mainstream Geth, everything he did was by their consent.
The heavy subtext is that the mainstream Geth are preparing to enter galactic society, so Legion was sent out as an ambassador/test case to assess how likely integrating into the greater galactic community would be for the Geth.

I'm still hoping Garrus, Tali, Grunt and Legion are squadmates, with Miranda as well if possible.
Garrus and Tali are certain from what I hear, Grunt and Legion, up in the air, Miranda, uncertain on that point.
These were my most heavily used squadmates and I want them back!

Kaiden was a Sentinel (Tech/Biotic). I'm kind of doubting the article too, mainly because even if it is genuine it's from PS3 magazine and Mass Effect was never meant for them.

Sentinel is my 2nd favorite class next to Soldier. Also did love the tech/biotic attack combos. :)

What’s with the Ashley hate?
Anyway wouldn’t trust anything this says.

They probably meant soldier as in “someone who serves in the military” not the class

I'm sure Garrus is NOT Renegade.

And renegade as in someone who doesn’t follow the rules.

I just hope there's enough dialogue and story difference between Kaidan and Ashley in ME3. They shouldn't end up being the NPC equivalent of Sheploo and femshep like they were in ME2.

Ya' I hear you there. That was one of the biggest problems ME fans (myself included) had with ME2 when they BRIEFLY appeared on Horizon. I'm just hoping that Bioware has paid attention to this thread in the interim because THAT has been brought up many times over. B)

I finally got my copy of the gameinformer ME3 issue.

I'm a lot concerned about Ashley's armor (or lack thereof!).

As a Soldier in ME1, Ashley could wear the Heaviest armor class in the game.

So what the heck is she wearing on page 55?

It looks like a version of Jacob's armor and that was just a glorified leather bodysuit.
I expected her to wear something that provided a heck of a lot more protection!

If that's Kaiden on page 46, he has more armor then she has!

That was always the thing I found most annoying about ME2, people running about in outfits that had no armor properties whatsoever and pulling on a airplane oxygen mask whenever they needed to breath in vaccum/non-oxygenated atmospheres.

Which caused me not to use those squadmates, because I always felt they looked stupid wearing those things instead of full armor and a completely enclosing helmet.

I really hope Ashley gets armor equivalent to the Heavy Duty versions seen in ME1.

I think you are jumping to conclusions about something we don't even know yet. That may be a picture of something she's wearing under the armor, that may be a kind of utility suit she's wearing outside the battle. That can be also a civilian cloth.
It's really just one small picture of Ashley that doesn't represent anything, and I don't think it's a thing to complain about unless we're sure. Of course it's just my opinion.

If you want to speculate, fine, Kaidan is wearing his Alliance blues under the armor. Look at his collar. That may be a hint that they wear different things in and outside the battle.

at this point, anything that stupid PS3 magazine said is a speculations...I still can't believe people are so worked up about this, with all due respect to the magazine, they were absolutely unprofessional and in no way reliable.

They were basically saying we're a bunch of trolls writing a magazine, the characters we like best will probably come back, those we don't will go to hell...let's send their fans into uproar. Especially that they would know at this point, we'll be devouring every bit of info we can get our hands on, because there's so little to go by.

Seriously people, if it isn't in GI or mentioned by one of the devs on here...it's NOT confirmed.

I've heard a lot about the "scans", but does anyone have an actual copy of this magazine? Does it even exist?

A romance/friendship that is actually a continuation of the one from ME1 and not simply the same as the "n00b" version but with one or two extra "investigate" options on the wheel. If I romanced either Kaidan or Ashley I want to be able to build on that, instead of starting over from scratch. ME1 existed, it's about time that the writers learned to live with that.
