Oooh, maybe we could even actually get Admiral Hackett in an Alliance themed DLC, and finally see what he looks like! Even those who dislike or don't care about Ashley and Kaidan should be intrigued by that prospect.

i so want to see hackett. i have now started to think that, like jason bourne in the novels, hackett is so non-descript that no one can remember what he looks like after they've met him.



and i am now thinking i need to read the ME novels.



so SEE bioware? i will buy your ME story, especially if it has ashley/kaidan in it.

Ash and Kai would be a instant buy for me, putting Hackett in there would just make me want it more.

I have to say that it is a great idea. Just one thing: whatever mission it is that you end on with Kaiden/Ashley please let it be a Reaper related story. For example: ancient Reaper tech found/stolen by those idiotic Batarians that could hold the needed information and/or tech needed to gives us a fighting chance against them, but those four-eyed fools want to hoard the info so they can use it to bring down the Human Systems Alliance. Like the "Batarian Rebellion" that Balak was talking about in ME1. Have them show they're butt ugly heads for once.

i agree.

and with that, one mission I SO would love to see is a visit to the planet owned by a volus who claims the "gods of light" have a weapon to stop the demons. it would be like the biotic god, but helpful.

okay, not an ash/kaidan DLC idea, but still.

one thing i would really love to see is:

* a cutscene of ashley/kaidan being awesome where ashley's version she's rocking it with guns (the shotgun, mebbe?) and in kaidan's he actually uses his biotics and is not in pink armor.

ME2 had too little Reaper related quests and we found out very little about them, especially considering that the main storyline revolves around them and every mercenary group under the sun had more presence than them.

If Kelly, who stayed on the Normandy, can ask about Horizon then there's no reason Kasumi couldn't. Especially since I specifically took her along and she witnessed the whole interaction.



And yes, Kaidan/Ashley/Anderson/Udina/Hackett and Wrex or Wreav depending on who is in your playthrough... could all be in the DLC. Just please let us have something to go on, BioWare!

on one hand i think linking is a good idea but on the other there was talk of offing the remaining squad member.  since ash and kaidan are the only me characters doomed to death, i'd prefer that topic was buried.

We don't know if anybody found out after ME1 events.  Anything would've been kept secret, I presume.

I haven't played ME2 without having had a previous A/K LI, but, without giving anything explicit away, there are some comments made by certain people; is it possible those comments could be taken as neutral, "Sorry they didn't join you," comments? And, "can you move on and focus on the mission?" for people who didn't romance either character?  I will need to replay ME2.

I think Joker knew something was up, but he may have been the only one who knew anything, whereas the others were just showing sympathy or only suspected.

Maybe a confrontation from the Alliance is being saved for ME3, but I think this aspect would be really cool to introduce into DLC, and Udina could have a hemorrhage regarding the situation (if there was a romance).

I imagine Kasumi mentions everyone she could possibly meet in ME2 where there is evidence of romance.  There would be gossip on the ship (SR2) of course, and with meeting Liara, you do hug her.  If Kasumi is on Horizon, there is no...
Wait, no, Kasumi can be on Horizon with you, where you hug and Kaidan or Ash say they loved you, so...  Why doesn't Kasumi mention them?  She'd definitely be the type to make a comment about how attractive Kaidan is.  Maybe she's too emotional from her own thing to comment on something that would clearly have hurt Shep (if she were on Horizon with you)...

For everyone else, I would think only Joker, Tali & Garrus would know anything about the ME1 LI at the beginning.  And mostly through SR1 ship gossip.  There's plenty of talk of that in ME.  And, Joker's interruptions do indicate he knows something's going on.  Maybe Miranda and TIM know too, considering they had to know everything about you to rebuild you as you were.  Kelly has probably been given a report on it, to act as ship councillor and spy on Shep.

Any of the squadmates recruitable before Horizon would know something was up afterward.  And I expect that Jack would be the kind of girl to make a snarky **** comment about it, too. 

This all makes me sad about how little the VS is paid attention to. 

Edit to keep on topic:  So, I want to see this addressed, too.  I like the idea of Anderson commenting on it in the DLC!

@squadmembers that know about the VS romance: Don't forget Chakwas.  Kelly may be the official psychologist on the ship, but I'm sure that Chakwas has kept an eye on the emotional health of her charges.  I would be surprised if she didn't know or highly suspect that something was going on.

I was thiking of either Christina Norman or Chris Priestly.  Priestly's on the threads a lot, and he posts comments.  He is BioWare's Community Coordinator, and seems to act as a liason between BW and their fans.  I must also add that he pretty much announces all the DLCs.  Jade5233 also sent an email to Priestly, detailed in the KAAS, and he replied back.  On the other hand, Christina Norman is one of BW's video game developers.  She openly asked for shirt suggestions, and when I sent a PM to Christina Norman detailing shirt design ideas when she asked she replied to my email.  I might possibly get a reply from her if I send a detailed Kaidan/Ashley DLC request.  Even if all it is is, "Thanks for the suggestions."

I would say if you're going to send it, send it to Christina Norman since she's a dev.
Plus, we already bugged Chris on the Kaidan front last week.  Let's not push the man.  Especially since he's not a fan of the romance part of the games.

About the killing of the remaing VS:  I think that concept was veto'd.  Interesting thing, though.  Two of them were turned back to the light by some of our more eloquent posters.  And I thought about it briefly but was shown the problems by Fort.  So I wouldn't include that content since it was essentially voted down.

I dunno. I think if Liara is killable in her DLC, Kaidan/Ash should be, too. Personally, I think why not? It would be a renegade act in the extreme, but hey, some people are just the types to be that petty.

The point that was made (and that changed my opinion on the topic) was that it would then potentially lessen the role of the VS in ME3 since they are dead for even more people.

I think it is unlikely that Kaidan, Ash or Liara will be killable in any of the upcoming DLCs when Bioware has already stated that they were 'kept safe' in ME2 for a role in ME3.

I think that come ME3, provided it is indeed "The End!", then any character should be able to die.



I think in the interim, Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara should survive to fulfill these deep and meaningful roles they supposedly were kept for in ME3.

i was referring to the suggestions about killing ash and kaidan not the misguided thoughts by two individuals. if ash, kaidan or liara die in upcoming dlc, i'm out and will not support it. however, this is my opinion and i understand it may differ from someone else.

Oh so you think everyone should be hugs and kisses to 2 people that basically treat Shepard like complete sh*t and whine because he or she is working Cerberus when the alliance basically turned its back on him or her. i'm sorry those 2 were spying on my male and female Shepard and that just does not sit well with me. so yeah alliance wants to do crap like that well then I will murder their spies for pure revenge. there better be a kill option in there because its the right thing to do. Oh Shepard can be a killing machine just not with the poor little do gooders i in the alliance will make the game really screwed up
