oh i guess you forgot one of them did die already its just depends on which gender your Shepard is. If Shepard can die they better be able to die as well

She didn't forget, hence the use of "or".

It does not depend on gender, but on choice. If you would have actually played ME1, you would know. Gender only matters for whatever reason if you start a new Shepard in ME2.

EDIT:
Also I would ask you to stay on topic. If you have nothing new to add than rehashing what you already stated several times, then just leave it be.

Some males (ie me) save Kaidan @ the bomb on VIrmire, hoping for (fingers crossed) that something will happen in ME3 (to correct a failure in ME1 & ME2); likewise some females save Ashley.
Start ME2 with a new Shepard, not an import, and you get the opposite sex (male gets Ashley & female gets Kaidan), just so everyone knows that Shepard is STRAIGHT (thank you S0B devs for that one)!

With all due respect, once you start specifying what we can't request, the thread is going to die.

I think that some people need to realize that some of us *myself included* had no idea that the VS wasn't going to be recruitable. I know when I got to Horizon I was looking forward to getting Ash/Kaidan back in my squad. When that didn't happen I was like huh? Then I went searching and found out that Liara,Kaidan and Ash were being saved for ME3. So no it wasn't fanservice for us. Just wanted to clarify that. Back on topic I like your idea Brod...and I also agree that you should send this letter to Christina Norman.

It's ok to specify some things . . . no one wants to hear this b.s about having Ashley and Kaidan killable in the fricking dlc. That would blow.

Earlier in the thread, I alluded to another, minor request which I shall post again here. (Hopefully, this time, I won't get hate pm's!)

In ME1 and 2, we did not have m/m content. If we are allowed to continue our romance with Liara, we should be able to do the same with Kaidan, and Ash, in this dlc. If a Shepard takes a friendship path with either, and remains single in ME2, why not be able to initiate, or lay further groundwork with a romance that wasn't possible in 1 or 2, because content was cut? Just a thought, and I know it's very unlikely, but it would be nice.

And no, my Male Shepard in NOT straight. He's gay for Kaidan. Now if only Kaidan would be gay for him!

But for the most part, I would love to see further interaction between Shepard and the Alliance.

I saved Ashley with FemShep....

of course, I then went on to mod the save and romance her with FemShep in ME2.

and with that, one mission I SO would love to see is a visit to the planet owned by a volus who claims the "gods of light" have a weapon to stop the demons. it would be like the biotic god, but helpful.

This must be the most incredible godsend, more important than Protheans ruins on Mars and it necessarily should be in ME3, but not in the DLC.

I've also seen social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/3042255 as someone wrote that it is not possible to take in a team, (because of the complexity of programming) those who survived in a suicide mission or Virmire survived.
I think this is nonsense, i undestand in programming.

Okay...

1. Everyone take a deep breath. Someone having differing opinions, even if they rub you the wrong way does not necessarily mean they're trolling, even if they're repeating the same argument. We're all basically repeating ourselves for the most part anyway. So everyone calm down and try not to be so sensitive.

2. Someone mentioned earlier about sending this list to the devs. I don't think that's a good idea. I think that would just be annoying and not at all constructive. The forum is here so people will see this topic. I'm sure they already have. Shoving it down their throats, particularly people who can't really do anything about it seems counterproductive. I do like the idea of condensing everything into a larger list though.

3. Someone mentioned actually seeing Admiral Hackett. This, I love. GASP! He and TIM are BFFS! Oh noes!

It is necessary to send the developers did not this whole list, only those ideas which the author considers the best on this topic, I think this is correct.

Oo maybe they are already planning an Ash/Kaidan-centric expansion, not just DLC?! Now that's an enticing thought :D

Kaidan and Ashley ME2 DLC it is greate.
I was very sorry that in my team had no Kaidan.
In ME1 he was the most interesting character of the team, I believe.
However, the reason why he had not joined the squad ME2, was a logical and correct from the standpoint of the plot.

In the DLC should be a way to convince him to join the detachment.
I think it would be great if in the course of the DLC can we, recommend Kaidan to Council as second human SPECTR. Kaidan is really worthy to become SPECTR, I think he's a real hero, like Shepard.

ME3 will be great, but I do not believe you can win, if the Council does not recognize the existence of the Reapers and don't begins large-scale preparation to the greatest battle all the galaxy.

As I have said I want the opportunity recommend Kaidan to Council as the second human SPECTR, and here is my more detailed idea.

As you all remember. In the final ME2, Shepard keeps the panel on which displayed Reaper.

In the course of the DLС, we investigate where collect irrefutable evidence of the existence of Reapers.
We find Kaidan and persuades him to help us in the investigation.

Kaidan can join the team, but to become opponents Shepard.
Since it will be difficult to convince that Shepard did not become an agent of Cerberus. When Shepard did not destroy the Collectors base of this could have further negative impact on Kaidan. If Shepard destroyed Collectors base Kaidan will not be so negative configured, and friendship resumed.

Of course I will not describe to you the full plot DLC.
But in the end, when we find Evidence of, will have a choice:
Renegade - Shepard himself notify the council.
Paragon - Give information to a Kaidan, and thus do so, the council deems Kaidan worthy of the title SPECTR.

Of course it is only the concept.
But it will be valid greate DLC, it prepared storyline to ME3, Council will start preparation. We again feel the atmosphere of ME1, and see one of the best episodes of the game to equal like a SPECTR Introduction, with the great music as in this moment in ME1. When Shepard became the SPECTR.

I hope you understand my greate idea.

How do I send this idea to developers?
Please support my idea, this DLC will be better than ME2!

Agreed with those who suggest Hackett's involvement - and, perhaps, appearance? - in an Ashley / Kaidan DLC. Alliance all the way, baby!

This may hav been mentioned, but [i\\seeing[/i] him for the first time, might be nice!

Also, a request for the animators to take better care of Kaidan and Ashley's graphics.  Seriously, no phoenix armor and no and no more lazy eyes.  We want to see some good quality of Ash and Kai, here.  There si so much that needs to be fixed, but won't ever will be, so the least that can happen is a nice, well-done good quality V.S. dlc.

This ^^ is what should have been on a t-shirt, Ms. Norman. :D

I, too, don't think a list needs to be sent to the devs. Hopefully an ongoing discussion on the forums is enough. More would perhaps annoy, I think.

Personally, I am sitting tight for the Liara DLC to see what road they took with her. What happens there will probably give a lot of insight as to what future DLCs and ME3  will bring for squaddie interaction.

How about making a list of the summarized ideas within the OP?

I'm hoping this thread gets stickied, and if the dev's look at it, a list of the summarized details can be on the page. They can then look through the forums if they feel like it for ideas, or just stick with general request guidelines in the OP. I don't know if it'll get noticed that way, but it's less invasive than direct contact with a dev, which could backfire.

Should the DLC's be more personalized for Kaidan and Ashley, instead of a general mission, I would like to see Kaidan investigating something about Rahna, or Brain Camp. I got the feeling he still needs some redemption in that area. And although Ashley was promoted, she might still be facing Alliance prejudice for the actions of her grandfather. I don't know how that would fit into a mision though.

Anything to do with the Alliance would be great content for a VS dlc pack. Hackett, Anderson, whoever.

I want Ash back. :)

Oh my, yes!  As much as I dislike Cerberus for what happened with Kahoku, I would love it if TIM and Hackett were BFFS.  It would be awesomely wicked!

I am going to make myself unpopular with some people by saying this, but I feel it has to be said. With regards to the call for Ashley and Kaidan to be made available as romantic interests for player-characters of the same sex in a DLC pack, I must answer with a firm "No".

Why? I can hear the arguments already, and my answer is that despite what plans may or may not have been in place to make them bisexual love interests in ME1, it didn't happen, and like it or not the characters have now been established. Changing their sexuality now, in DLC, no less, would be shoddy and out-of-character. We have so many enraged cries for continuity in Bioware games on these forums, I feel that a love interest's established sexuality should be included in that plea.

If Bioware see fit to add additional bisexual love interests in ME3, it is certainly their prerogative to do so, but I think as fans of Ashley and Kaidan we must ask that their characters be upheld, since I'm pretty sure that is what this thread is all about.

Maybe we could have a conversation with Ashley and Kaidan about what happened to them in the two years Shepard was gone. What they went through and how they struggled to overcome their grief, in this conversation the subject of their  promotions could be included. Some things were touched upon in their messages but not nearly enough. It could work for both paths, friendship and romance.

And I'd really like to see Shepard showing some reaction to being dead and coming back. It must have had some impact on him/her. Dying and coming back to life was treated like an everyday occurence in ME2 and had barely any consequences in conversations or character development except the odd "Oh, didn't you die? Yeah? Okay, on with the show then." here and there.
