I wish there was a DLC that let me beat the **** out of Kaidan till he was blind in one eye. Does that count?

I like the idea of beating the sh*t out of him

Thats funny, becuase you haven't even played ME1 before, you're actually gonna judge a character on a scene that was made to tempt there fans to cheat on them for the new ''shiny'' ones? Thats one scene? If I judged Miranda from the way she speaks to Shepard at the start of ME2 I would hate her, Or Jack ect. If you want real expirence with the characters atleast get to know them, play the game, and make a proper decision instead of just spamming every thread about ME1 characters with spam. I dunno why you even come here anyway, do something with you're life and stop being a ass to everyone.

I hope Ash gets a new armor, as much as I like the phoenix armor on her it's getting old, and Ash deserves something new, and better looking.

I would love for some dlc or maybe a expansion, but let's hope the Liara fans get something good first, and see how that turns out, as it could reflect how the VS dlc could turn out, for better or for worse.

Pure black armor for kaidan.
Silver and purple armor for Ash.
I would hope that a K&A DLC pack contains new armor and casual outfits for my Shep, but theres's two other threads with awesome ideas.
I would really like to see Jump Zero, or Arcturus Station. They've been mentioned, but never seen, in the games. Maybe see some part of the Skyllian Blitz.

some of the things you mentioned over in the kaidan thread you should mention here bro: possibly taking out Cerberus cells, etc.

I would personally love to see the docking bay of the new Normandy "unlocked." Many fanfics speculate there is a gym down there. I would love to see that/use it. I imagine a good scene between shepard and a romanced VS could take place down there.

How about a scene where Ash goes into the armory, back hands Jacob and yells "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! I FIX!"

Ooh.  Zump zero would be good.
And Kaidan looks Image IPB in black armor.
Although Shepard getting matching "Horizon" armor would be nice.

I think having Shepard in jeans/cargo pants and a N7 hoodie as casual wear could be fun.

Honestly, I want a DLC that allows me to better end or continue my relationship with Ash. I just felt that Horizon, and the follow up email just didn't cut it for me. I support this potential DLC, and maybe have it take place on Jump Zero, or hell I'd take a chance to go on Earth for once in the series.

So, N7 hoodie/jeans, Docking Bay, Jump Zero, Kaidan's horizon armor for Shepard, an infiltration/diplomacy mission....
let's keep the ideas coming!

I wonder if BioWare at all considering the creation of DLC for VS. I wish someone from BW could write here something. *sigh*

If that was all the DLC consisted of, I would buy it...because...made of win!  Perhaps the Kaidan version could be the similar reprimanding of Miranda?  Because I do not believe that woman actually knows anything about tech, genetic perfections or no.

BioWare keep saying we will go to Earth at some point but do you think it will be ME3 or an expansion before then? If there was an Earth expansion that primarily consisted of Kaidan/Ash I would love that. So many fans want to see Earth so even the K&A haters could find a reason to buy it.

I know DLC will be bridging and resolve important subplots (e.g. Liara DLC), but I think visiting Earth is being saved for ME3.  Not all ME fans anticipating ME3 will want to download DLC, and although that would be a good reason to buy DLC, it would make more people angry than anything.

A Kaidan DLC would probably be the only content I *might* consider paying money for. Might. Because I don't support this DLC trend at all! Why should I pay money for content that was probably already there when the game was put together but kept for separate release as a DLC? Even if this wasn't the case, I'd rather BW just incorporate whatever they have in mind into ME3.

I don't want the Shadow Broker story resolved in a crappy DLC. I want it to be important for the ME3 story arch. Neither do I want a 20 minute Kaidan/ Ashley DLC dealing with the romance if that means it will be cut from ME3. I still have hopes that the ME1 LIs will be of importance in ME3 as promised.

If BW comes up with a decent DLC that addresses the romance but does not resolve the conflict, fine. Because that conflict belongs in ME3!

I agree with Slidell505, and I've played ME1.

Yeah, I'd doubt that earth would be used in a dlc. I bet they are saving it for ME3.

Why I think we mentioned the Citadel is because BW wouldn't have to put much financing into making new environments and it would work with the story since the Alliance has a base of operations there.

I don't know why some people feel the need to be so mean and nasty. I"m going to leave it there.

I have no problem with buying DLC for two reasons:
1) its like christmas in july - or september - or whatever. just something fun to keep us interested in the story between the game releases. and
2) i do not blame BW (or EA, for that matter) for wanting to be paid for what they make.

corporate greed, yeah, blah, blah, blah, but i'm willing to pay $10 for a DLC that takes me about a day or two to complete. seriously. movie tickets cost more than that nowadays and most movies suck, are only 2 hrs. long, and don't have femshep or Kaidan in them. DLC for the win.

ash and kaidan both alluded to jump zero unfortunately monetary constraints would prevent the developers from expanding the mass effect universe for dlc. a place already established such as the citadel would be a more likely, cost-effective setting.

some are malicious and revel in derailing threads because they themselves are misologists.

And you don't get to watch the movie over and over again for that $20 that you shell out for those 2hrs.
Granted, I haven't replayed the Liliana or Darkspawn Chronicles dlc ever.  But I'm sure I will replay Liara and would play the heck out of Kaidan dlc.  If I'll play Horizon over and over again just for hunky older Kaidan, as painful at that interaction is, I'd play anything Kaidan (unless he self-sacrificesin ME3 then I'll just probably boycott all BW from now on).

if there is kaidan/ash self-sacrificing in DLC or ME3 with no option to save them unless it is something very nasty (morrigan suddenly appears and offers you a "deal") i will truly be horrified. they are the virmire SURVIVOR - they made it this far, no thanks to horizon. more drama, fine, but a happy ending, please.

Here's a question: I think the DLC far has come with new armor and casual outfits (correct me if I'm wrong), so what if we saw some casual clothes on Kaidan and Ash? I would imagine fancy Alliance jackets (like Anderson wears), if it's a meeting with the Alliance.

When I think about what they'd have for casual wear, I think of Kaidan being Vancouverish, having a casual European look with an eco slant, with with a futuristic twist (eco-asari fabric? I know that's getting too detailed). For Ashley, I think she would have the confidence to wear something steampunk, again with a space twist.

Or, they could wear N7 hoodies and cargo pants. :P

Of course, these clothing minute details aside, I'd rather see those resources invested in dialogue, but if BioWare gave us some non-combat aspect where a person sits and talks with Ashley or Kaidan in the Presidium or something, it seems unnatural to be wearing armor.

I would love to see Kaidan dressed in an Alliance Dress uniform.
Image IPB

For casual, I do like him in black.  Jho has a nice pic of him:
Image IPB

And Kaidan shouldn't wear the N7 hoodie.  He's not an N7--no designation on his Horizon armor to indicate it like on Shepard's.
I agree that I would rather have resources invested in good individualized dialogue with differences for friendship vs. romance than have a whole new location.  So the Citadel would be good.  Omega would also work.  There's plenty of undercover stuff that Kaidan/Ash could have been sent to do there.  Or they could have been sent because they knew that it was close to the Omega-4 relay and to investigate that/Shepard.  There are places that they could go "out" there as well.  Not real nice places, but still, they exist.
There's even Morinth's apartment that could be modded.
The Morrigan deal  ugh  Made me sick to have my human Noble send Alistair for that night with her so I could get my happy ending.
I think that for every LI, a happy ending should at least be a possiblity--kinda like it is in DA with Alistair and Zev (didn't romance other characters).  Doesn't mean that every playthrough/character would have made the choices necessary to get it, but its possible at least.  Some playthroughs would have to make compromises (like an elf or dwarf with Alistair) but it still would be somewhat happy.  Other playthroughs might be able to have everything that they wanted--best possible ending.

one thing that just occurred to me is that with the PS3 release, all PS3 players will have no clue who ashley/kaidan are. it really was too bad that these AWESOME allies from ME1 got so much hate from people who didn't even know them, having not played ME1.

if you hated them from ME1, fine. but i think most people felt attached to the one they saved.

anyhow, that's a whole group of people who will not know ashley/kaidan awesomeness. if BW saved the VS for something epic in ME3, please give those characters a chance to show how cool they are to legions of people who do not like or trust them.

Very true.  I doubt that they can totally get a full picture of who Kaidan or Ashley are by playing a DLC, but it would be a better introduction to them than just the Horizon scene alone.  As evidenced by people in this thread, those who didn't play ME1, or didn't play it first, will have a much worse impression of K/A than those who got to know them.  Why not give new players a reason to actually like them, if they are indeed slated for an important role in ME3?

Considering that the Kaidan support thread just hit 2200 pages today, I think there are a lot of people who would like to see the VS come back. At the very least, some word on what is planned - or that something is planned - would be very welcome.
