I definitely think Ashley should get a combat power.  She was a powerhouse in ME1.  I'm not sure if Kaidan would get a tech bonus, or a biotic bonus.  He's supposed to be a pretty powerful biotic, but as a sentinel he's the best of both.

Okay, having finished the LotSB DLC, i have to say it was AWESOME! i loved it. fantastic plot, gameplay, dialog, etc. even little spoilers about other characters.
i was so impressed.
so BW, i know you've got it in you. just going to keep asking for the same type of love for kaidan and ash.

For what it's worth, I'd prefer Kaidan to have a biotic talent over a tech talent.  But overall I would prefer Kaidan and Ashley to... you know... exist.    :crying:

LotSB set the bar pretty high for this kind of DLC. I think everybody's now going to expect them to become full party members, with unique powers, never mind top-notch writing and stunning visuals. :P



That said, Immunity for Ashley? Kaidan's trickier, ME1 sentinel's are so vanilla it's almost sad. On the other hand, he could have picked up advanced tech or biotic training, so he would be a good option for introducing something there... like maybe an impenetrable front-facing tech shield of short duration? :)



There's also some ammo options left over from ME1, such as Snowblind... (cryo with benefits).



There's also mah man Tyrannosaurus Wrex on the loose (in a rather sizeable chunk of games, going from the info we got earlier, I'd guess), but I kind of doubt we'll see him in DLC... :/

I really hope that there is some more DLC for Ashley / Kaidan (well in my case Ashley, as poor Kaidan died in every of my 8 playthroughs).



Maybe something that Ash/Kai were thinking about what I said on the Horizont and they decided to help after all but get to some serous trouble...



I am sure that whoever made the excellent screenplay for the LotSB can think up something as good as this one.

If Ashley/Kaidan were selectable during their own dlc, what powers do you suppose they might have?

Personally, I'm thinking as a sentinel Kaidan's main power would be a blue Tech Armor* with a secondary power being Throw**. His starting specialization would probably be "Alliance Operative" evolved to either Lvl. 4 Alliance Veteran or Specialist (in contrast with Jacob as a Cerberus Veteran or Specialist). As for a bonus power let's bring back Sabotage for techs from ME1.

Notes:  **(=2 squad throws [Kaidan + Thane] to match 2 squad pulls [Jacob + Jack]). *The other sentinel (Miranda) = 3/4 biotic 1/4 tech so weight Kaidan 3/4 tech 1/4 biotic.

As for Ashley; as a solider i'm thinking her main power would be an adapted version of Adrenaline Rush (evolved to either heightened or hardened) making her über-deadly in short bursts by momentarily granting her immunity and multiplying her weapon damage by a factor of x2-4. Her secondary ammo power would probably be either Disrupter Ammo or a new ammo power based on explosive rounds from ME1 e.g. explosive ammo. Ash's specialization I would guess would be the same as Kaidan's and If I had to guess at her bonus power I'd wager Overkill (removes the need to reload), [edit] so:

Kaidan:
Tech Armor
Throw
Alliance Operative
Sabotage

Ashley:
Adrenaline Rush
Explosive Ammo
Alliance Operative
Overkill

Admiral Hackett mission complete screen. Not sitting; standing in front of some space station window, looking out, in uniform at parade rest, so you still don't see his face.

I still like the idea of Kaiden's tech power being something that damages barriers, because I don't like my nonbiotic characters taking Reave or Warp Ammo. (Eezo grenade? I don't know, that's why they don't pay me the big bucks to game design. Yet.) I can't say I favor Immunity for Ash; that's what Fortification is, ME2 Immunity, and it's not very good (she could have Fort as one of her other powers, though, she's not Ash if she's not tanky as hell). Personally I still want Carnage and Assassination back, but maybe that's just my Claymore and Widow Sheps being powergamers. :whistle: Sledgehammer or Explosive Ammo would be good too. Or Phasic! The inability to damage shielded health, even with melee, makes the game feel less tactical to me. It'd be good to get that kind of tradeoff back.

yes, whoever did the writing for LotSB gets a cookie - as many cookies as he/she/they want. that was completely awesome writing - from the overall plot to the little one-liners. adore. want that writer(s) to do a VS. they clearly know how to appeal to all aspects of ME fandom - from those who love the world to those who love the characters to those who love bosses and explosions - and for those of us who love all that.

my idea for ash/alliance DLC.



you get a new message from allinace command asking to meet with you on the citadel.you go to the alliance embassy.inside waiting for you is admiral hackett and anderson (serving in whatever capacity counciler or admiral it works both ways) they tell you that a squad or division of alliance marines has gone awol and the alliance brass is afraid they might cause problems they want you to team up with there best alliance soldier and bring these rogues in or take them down.



they give you the coorodinates to meet with the alliance contact.when you get there the alliance contact turns out to be ash (or kai) cue romantic dialogue.after a heart warming hello and a lilttle bit of explaning (on both sides) you get to work.ash informs you that the alliance radicals are planning to destroy a turian colony.



this will remove the stigma as ash being seen a racist once and for all seeing as she is fighting to save a purley NON-HUMAN colony.kickass misison insues where ash and shepard procede to save the colony.all alliance radicals are killed (reluctantly of course).cue more romantic dialogue ash and shep heal old wounds and you are rewarded with a kiss on the check and a smile.parting of ways (for now ;) ash gets a medal turian and human relationships improve greatly all is well.....for now.you get another email from the alliance brass telling you to come back to the citadel embassy ASAP.when you return you find ash,hackett and anderson all with hauinted looks.



it turns out that the alliance retrived some of the dead bodies of the radicals and check the logs of the patrol ship the marines used and turned up some highly distrubing resualts......



THE MARINES WERE INDOCTRNATED!!!!!! they came across another dormant repaer on patrol and fell prey to it insidous mind control.there misson was almost 100% intended to ruin turian and human relationships further destabalizing the galaxy paveing the way for a much easier invasion.



BUM BUM BUMMMM!!!!!

Plus this DLC should also once and for all make it clear. Are you still with the Alliance or still with Cerberus. Even if you destroyed the base, you are still with Cerberus, just on shaky ground. This DLC should make it clear where your alignment is.

Yea, you should chose a side, on my case...I would love to kill the Illusive man, I really hate him and then return to the alliance's side.
