Let's suppose this DLC were to include a trip to Virmire, to recover the dog tags of the VC (Virmire Casualty) or some other reason. Only you get there, and can find no remains, no trace of a body.
Well, you think, it was a pretty big nuke, not likely we'll find anything. Cue flashbacks, reminiscing etc. with the VS.
Then in ME3, who should show up at the head of the Reaper fleet, implanted, indoctrinated, heavily burned/repaired and blazing for revenge...
Not only would this include the "bridge between ME2 and ME3" angle that Bioware has been wanting, it'll give us an actual faced villain to care about in ME3.

I'm sorry, but this would be Mass Effect jumping the shark. Indy surviving a nuke detonation in that fridge would be nothing compared. Bioware already messed with the plausibility of the setting in ME2, but cheese like this would be a fatal blow against all credibility.

I didn't see these in the original list:
- Interaction with other squad mates, especially ME1 characters. I want the VS to interact with Garrus, Tali, etc. There were some small nods to this in LotSB, but I would have liked more. A reunion with the VS should not just be between Shep and the VS, but should also reference other characters.
- Reference the past. Again, there was some of this in LotSB, but the more we have the better as it helps ground the content in the larger story. Talk about Shep's past and past interactions with the VS. Talk about Virmire and the VC.
For a possible resurrection scenario at some point...I'm generally against it, but if handled correctly it could be good. I would prefer to leave the VC dead to maintain that emotional impact.

If Shepard chose to stay faithful to Kaidan or Ash, I'd want them to notice the holo on Shepard's desk in her/his cabin on the Normandy.
They don't need to talk about it at length or mention it (even though that'd be nice), but we could see them glance at it. Just for them to realize that they are on the same ground and Shepard maybe hasn't moved on as much as nearly every conversation option on Horizon and later with TIM, Kelly or Joker seemed to imply.

YES! A thousand times, yes! I would love to see this! I was thinking about it today! I hate how everybody implies that I've moved on. Gwar.
Now I've got to go write school papers. Thank you for bringing it up Chignon!

Yes this! A bit dissapointing Liara didn't notice it, when she asked about what Shepard is fighting for, it would have been great if she noticed the picture after Shepard answers her.

Great minds think alike.
I'm glad people like this idea. I think a quick glance at it and a soft "Shepard ..." would already be enough, but it'd really add some emotional depth to Shepard and Kaidan/Ashley.

- If there's an option to renew ties with the Alliance, there should be one to preserve ties with Cerberus. Not that I would take it, but a lot of people would.
- If Cerberus has a significant role to play in the plot, the Illusive Man should appear.
- A tie to Lair of the Shadow Broker. This could be as simple as giving Ashley or Kaidan a dossier.
Do not want:
- Shepard fighting Alliance soldiers. Rogue/indoctrinated ones don't count.

I like this idea. It'd be great if the DLCs had a bit more of a connection to each other. Not to mention that I'd love, love, love to read Kaidan and Ash's dossiers.

Captain Sheridan's wife Anna in Babylon 5. Interesting idea.

That's a cute idea, but there's no reasonable way that they can explain a situation where both the nuke went off, and the character survived. Either they were ground-zero when it went off, defending it, in which case they're atoms, or they were overwhelmed, in which case the nuke would have been disarmed. In the latter case this scenario would be plausble, but that's not what happened.
So, I like it, but unless there's something I'm missing, there's no way it's possible without "nuked the fridge"-type idiocy, which I don't think Bioware will go for. If they were going to do this, I think they'd have foreshadowed it, too.

There was a fanfic where Kaidan noticed the photo, looked at it and then noticed all of the fingerprints around his face in the photo. So he knew how often she must have thought of him and touched that photo.

I think fans would go ballistic. Heck, Shepard's death and resurrection have already been criticized and lamented over enough.
Could you imagine the fallout if a previous squadmember came back to life--when we already HAD to send them to their deaths in one of the most poignant moments of ME1? They died in the epicentre of a nuke that, when detonated, could be seen from space. I think that would be an even harder situation to explain than Shepard's resurrection.

Bioware was on the right track with the advanced training for squadmates in the LOTSB dlc....

I'm not sure it would help me though, as I'm too fond of my Widow Anti-Material Rifle to give it up.
Also, the Revenant and Claymore don't really appeal to me as weapons.
If I could do Advanced Plus Training, giving me the ability to use Sub Machine Guns in addition to my current arsenal, that I'd like to see.
How would that be handled in terms of Weapon Assignments though?
If you chose to retrain the weapon skill in question, wouldn't it take away that weapon from you in exchange for the new one?
And yes, I loved that advanced training option for Squadmates in LotSB.
I used the opportunity to "refine" their training to give them different skills (mostly getting rid of shared skills, like only Garrus using Overload and only Miranda using Warp).

And re: the picture on the desk - omg, i would love that. seeing as how that stupid picture made me sad every time I stopped in to feed the fish, I would love to have that play some role.
