And no zombies! One resurrection per trilogy is enough! There is no way at the AA tower Ash is anything more than vapor, not even ash. Though I will allow she might just have left her shadow burned into the wall if any concrete remains!

I completely agree. Any reanimation of the Virmire casualty would detract from the weight of one of the most powerful moments of the first game. It was such a terrible choice to have made and I wouldn't want anything like Zombie KAsh to cheapen their sacrifice. Besides, ME isn't that kind of sci-fi. I mean, it sort of is, as we do have husks running around, but they no longer look like individual humans you may once have known. ME doesn't typically go for the low blows, and forcing you to fight the zombi-fied corpse of the friend whose death was partially your fault would be a cheap shot. I already feel bad enough.sagequeen wrote...
I would have to agree that I do not want the person who died on Virmire to come back. They died - it was a horrible moment of decision and I want it to have fully emotional weight. Having time to talk about it/think it over with the survivor, sure.

i think it would be cool if they became a spectre at the end of the dlc or something
I've thought about this too... At some point, yeah, maybe in ME3 - but end of a DLC wouldn't be bad, either.

And re: the picture on the desk - omg, i would love that. seeing as how that stupid picture made me sad every time I stopped in to feed the fish, I would love to have that play some role.
Exactly, I'd love to see it play some kind of role. I mean, it must be there for a reason other than make you sad and look at it once before going off to the Suicide Mission, right?

I've thought about this, too. One of the first things you get told about the Spectres in ME1 is that they work alone or in pairs. I think it was Chakwas who said it.

Let's just hope Bioware is actually considering doing a Virmire Survivor DLC pack for release. Otherwise, I and quite a few others here would be kinda dissappointed, to say the least.
I think alot of people will be disappointed if BW decides not to do this type of DLC. I was kind of shocked how many more people started asking for it after playing LOTSB. So there are more VS fans out there than I thought and that in itself is really cool

@ suprez - i don't doubt that earth will show up in ME3, probably as a final battleground. i rather doubt they'd do a DLC over it though. VS seems more likely.

I hope that they are. I think it would be a great bridging DLC into Mass Effect 3.

The confrontation on Horizon needs to be addressed--apologies all around and a chance to explain why Shepard is working with Cerberus.
I'd like to respectfully disagree with this, at least the "apologies all around" part. As an ME1 fan the Horizion meeting was the first (and sadly last) time I really felt like a character was actually doing something/acting in a way that was "in-character" for them, instead of just going along for the ride with whatever happened without even having an independent and rational thought.
Seeing Ash/Kaidan get mad at Shep was probably the one enjoyable part of the game personally. At least somone from ME1retained their spine and sense of duty.
I'd be extremely disappointed to see them come to Shep in a DLC or ME3 being all apologetic for acting the way they did. That would pretty much wipe away the last traces of any continuity left to ME1.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from here. After all they went through fighting Cerberus in ME1 and seeing firsthand what they were doing, and seeing their shock and disappointment in Shepard for working with them made it VERY believable. You can't just show up after 2 years of being K.I.A. and expect things to be the same, right?

Exactly. You hope that though they may start awkward, that they will end even better than before.
VS DLC!

I see what you mean. I didn't mean an apology for retconning, I meant like a general regretfulness about the confrontation on Horizon and just a chance for both friends/lovers to at least be amiable.
Come to think about it, I guess it's somewhat covered in the "emotional reconcillation point."
I've fixed it.

It could happen in dlc, I mean, look at Liara.

Exactly. If Bioware can do what they did with Liara in a DLC, they can make the VS a Spectre.
I just don't know how I feel about this idea. Especially given Shepard's history with other Spectres ...

Ash was one of my favorite characters in ME1, and I genuinely felt upset and hurt when she acted how she did on Horizon.I know that's a little sad, but i'd still love some DLC with her to clear the air again.
Tbh I was more upset with how Shepard acted, it was refreshing to see a character have there own views for a change and not follow Shepard blindly, I think Shepard is the one who needs to apoligise to Ash/Kaidan. I was upset with the fact that was all we got though, that one little scene, and no mention of Ash in any dlc except for a negative comment from Liara. I'm sure Bioware will fix it though, and hopefully, it will be Shep apologising.

Any (good) dlc is highly appreciated, ME1-related is even better, VS-related is very very hard to beat.

In the beginning maybe the two of you fight it out and you capture the VS or at least talk them into coming with you to the Normandy to see the evidence you have about the Reapers and such.
Also I agree with Sagequeen's list of things...
[/list]sagequeen wrote...
IF Liara joins with Shepard post-suicide mission, I would like Shepard to be able to
reconcile with Ashley/Kaidan in some way if Shepard chooses, regardless
of it Shepard is a paragon/renegade, blows the base/etc. Those
relationships should be salvageable regardless of how shep played things
Perhaps the above could be accomplished by Shepard showing Alliance hypocrisy
to Ash/Kaidan if Shep took a more renegade route; OR by showing loyalty
to the Alliance if they took a more paragon route.
One good reason for the above to be ignored is if this is something that
will play out in ME3; still though, i would love to see it
For those who did not romance Ash/Kai, the above would give a good "in"
with the Alliance or a clear break from the alliance, thus giving us
interesting story
Ash/Kaidan content needs to have a friend option/buddy talk for those who were buddies with Ash/Kaidan instead of romantic.
Please NO rescuing of Kaidan/Ashley. they have already been "rescued" by Shep 4
times for kaidan, 5 for ashley (Eden prime from geth (Ash only), eden
prime beacon, virmire, opening on normandy (Sent away), and horizon)
Need to have chance to talk over the "betrayal" accusation. seriously
Some explanation as to the missing "reply" button on the email for those who did an LI import?
A longer talk for imported LIs.
A romantic scene for faithful imported LIs (pretty please)
Possible renegade/paragon interrupts for imported LIs. either a cold breakup or a hastily accepted apology
I hate to say it, but yes, i think the VS could and should perhaps be
sent back to the Alliance coldly by Shep (possibly even left to die on a
mission?) if Shep did not choose to accept the apology

I was also unhappy with wooden Shepard, but Kaidan said some pretty hurtful things, especially to a hardcore Alliance loyalist like my Shep. I think if the conflict is going to be resolved, both parties are going to need to eat a little crow.
Of course and that's why they really need both a chance to sit down like the adults they are and talk.
Just as long as the rocky road brings a happy ending, I won't mind what happened in ME2 too much.

In addition there needs to be an explanation of KAIDAN's picture on Anderson's desk.
I would welcome the possibility of a human s/s friendship/relationship being rekindled.
