You can never have enough pictures.  Would love it if Ash or Kaid left one for Shep.

Isn't there another, empty frame on the smaller table in Shep's cabin?

Here's an idea.  You know the car chase scene in Lair of the Shadow Broker?
What if we had a similar one to that in VS DLC....except with the Normandy?
We could take it for a spin around the galaxy.
We could hear banter from Ash, Kaid, Shep, Joker, AND EDI!
Maybe too many voices, but....it would be sweet.

Hmm... Perhaps not with the Normandy... But with the Hammerhead!

Full on urban warfare destruction derby, blasting Batarian APCs and gunships into dust, while quipping away with Ash or Kaidan? Could be pretty damn kickass... Perhaps with different type of commenting from each VS? Kaidan being more cautious would be the Liara type with his own brand of sarcasm, while Ash would egg Shepard on to commit maximum destruction and whoop in glee over every dead Batarian scumbag.

After reading Retribution, my opinions on a VS DLC focusing on going against Cerberus have changed somewhat. I feel this is somewhat ironic, as, given what Cerberus did to Paul Grayson, I thought this would be the novel that turned the majority of people against Cerberus. But, in my case, it made me feel like, while Cerberus have done horrendous things and made a vast number of highly counterproductive mistakes, fighting them is a waste of time and resources when the Reapers still have to be faced. I mean, we already got the feeling in ME1 that in-fighting between the various alien races and humanity was a waste, but now I find that extending to Cerberus too. If Cerberus's actions got in the way of fighting the Reapers, that would be one thing, but I genuinely feel like Shepard, the Alliance, and the Council just have to concentrate on the Reapers right now.

The main factor involved in this is the way that, by the end of the book,

Spoiler

Of course, the trouble with all this is that most Reaper-related things have to be kept until ME3, right? So what kinds of *preparations* for that could involve Ashley or Kaidan?

I can already see Kaidan holding onto his seat for dear life, going "Cliff!". Or Ash grabbing the steering wheel (if the Hammerhead has something like this), fed up with Shepard's driving ability. Posted Image

The potential banter could be hilarious.

It might be great, but the potential worry is of course repeating one self.

Perhaps Bioware will implement such "banter" and relaxed verbal sniping between Shep and the VS in some other context? A huge amount of combat dialogue, for example? I wonder how easy it would be to code responses for different actions Shepard does in combat.

*Shepard biotically pulls a burning, screaming Batarian high into the air, and blasts it to smithereens with a missile*

Kaidan: "I think that was a little excessive, Commander... Just kidding, nice shot!".

I like that one. A similiar idea a few pages back, Shepard and VS discuss some of their issues while fighting:

Could you see a cutscene of a fight (where there are interrupts) where Shepard and Kaidan are shooting or using powers at an enemy and yet kinda yelling/loudly discussing some of their issues?

*snip*

Kaidan: "How could leave with Cerberus? *throws merc*"
Shepard: "I had no choice! How could you call me a traitor?"
Kaidan: "How about we discuss this later?"
Shepard: "*shoots mech* Why? I like it here."

This is a smaller idea, but wouldn't it be amusing to hear some dirty language from either VS?

You could kinda expect it from Ash (she's a Marine non-com, goes with the territory), but it might be pretty damn amusing to see Kaidan suddenly lose it and unload a f-bomb laden tirade at some bureaucratic stooge. Posted Image

Too bad we prolly can't get comments from Joker, Garrus, or Tali for that... Joker especially might find it highly amusing.

Eh, I don't know. Prolly wouldn't be to everyones taste, but it'd be great to hear Ash go all "Gunnery Sergeant Hartman" on some poor blundering recruits. Posted Image

My Shep's face would probably look like something like this: Posted Image

But Ash would be very amusing indeed. Remember the Gunnery Chief on the Citadel? I always think of Ash when I see him.

I hope DLC does appear that ties up the stories of Kaiden or Ashley in a satisfactory way. I'm not a big fan of either character myself, but would still like to see them treated with the same kind of respect that Liara was in LotSB. And fans of either Kaiden or Ashley haven't had much to cheer about since ME2 appeared! Come on Bioware, make it happen :)

There are two different picture frames.

One only shows up if you romanced Ashley, Kaidan or Liara and there is another one on the desk near Shepard's bed. That's the one I referred to and it is empty regardless of if or who you romanced. That's why I thought it would be great if a VS DLC would add a picture in it. Posted Image

Just to clarify and so we can avoid more confusion, I mean this picture frame:

I'd like to see a VS DLC.  I HATED how things went down on Horizon between me and Ash and I'd like to see that bridge rebuilt in a DLC.  I don't resent her at all for feeling the way she does/did.  So yeah, I'd like to see a DLC that helps fix that relationship with the Virmire Survivor.

Chignon - I didn't realize there was an empty picture frame on that table!  I'll have to load up my saved game and check it out now! lol  But sure, that'd be a great frame for a picture.

Me neither.  Posted Image

Someone pointed it out in the FemShep thread. It'd be great to see a Ash & Shepard or Kaidan & Shepard picture added to it. Or maybe all three of them.

Maybe they will put a picture of VS & Shepard as a happy couple there? -sigh-

Or maybe a less formal picture of Ash or Kaidan since I don't know if it's possible for Bioware to put Shepard in it. Maybe Ash with her hair down and Kaidan in a bit more casual wear.

Agreed.

For me, just a confirmation will do.  Putting out DLC so soon after LotSB isn't the best marketing move, especially when there's over a year left for ME3's release, plus more bridging DLC and armor/weapon packs.
But then, if they announce it, now, and then state, "coming in April 2011!," like somebody said earlier, people would keep whining, "when's it coming out, I want it now..........."
Furthermore, even though I would LOVE a VS DLC now, I would wonder to what extent BioWare rushed it (poor guys, they can't win, it seems), and probably be more apprehensive to play it.  It's better to wait for it to show up later in 2011, all sexy and polished, I think.

Dont listen to her/him! Shes/hes crazy!

Oh, just two more months til 2011. Thats not so bad. I'd hate for it to be rushed too, but i'd like for them to at least hint at its possibility. Its the not knowing.

It would be nice if they announced something soon. Even if it wasn't coming out for a few months. Just to know would be better than not knowing about it.

I wish they would announce it... although, at this point, I would also be happy if they said, "No, we aren't doing it," just so I don't have to bother hoping anymore.  :(

^Agreed, FireEye. I would stop obsessing about it and checking the forums everyday, I think.
I am guessing that the next DLC will be something like an armor/weapon pack.

BIOWARE! If you are looking at this thread (hopefully you are), could you please spare us the agony of worrying and just tell us if you have something planned or not?

Pretty please?

I got what I really wanted with LotSB but would love to see Ash/Kaiden dlc as well. It would also be awesome if they added in some story bridging involving something like dark matter since that seems like something that could be important in ME3 with how much its referenced in ME2. In fact it reminds me of about how much Cerberus was referenced in ME1, its kind of creepy.

Ditto

Then I could just get it out of my systems and move on,,, the long wait and not knowing is the hardest part for me I think. I kept pressing the refresh button very now and then just to check.

I gues I should really applaud to Bioware for making such a fascinating 'world' and created a well crafted character which made me seriously attached to it emotionally  yes, it is that bad for me atleast (sorry for the rant)
