I agree. I would have liked Alistair in one of them, too.Ayanna Nyx wrote...
Yeah I would like to see this DLC, I also wish their had been some Alistair DLC on DA as well.... Seems all the DLC focus on personal stories have been for guys only.... Getting a bit fed up with it to be honest
I also would have liked to see Zevran's adventures.

You know technically they could bring back both squad members and say that the one that died on Virmire was taken by the Geth before the drive core blew. Then you just have to go on a mission to find them, unless you helped Legion then they could just hand the member over.
That would be stupid, and everyone would complain. But what i would give for it to happen!
I appreciate the drama they added to the game with things like this, but most of us just want a happy ending ...

Sure, it could be - and maybe not.
People assumed the same for the Shadow Broker storyline and look what happened. A chance to reconcile with Liara, the Shadow Broker storyline was completely resolved and now Liara is in an interesting position for ME3.
Yes this!
Althoug I wonder what implications LotSB will have in ME3 for people who didn't buy the dlc, probably just like people who didn't play ME1, it will be default.
I think that's what Bioware will do. Or something similiar to how an imported Shepard decides if Udina or Anderson was made councilor at the start of ME2.

If they do that, I hope such a DLC won't heavily feature some other squaddie... It would only serve to imbalance the scales even further against the VS.
I agree with you, Mox - if there is another DLC before the Kaidan & Ash DLC, I'd prefer it to be something similiar to Overlord.

Wow, that desk must be getting crowded.
I remember looking at it when I got the screenshot for my prior post and thinking "there's a lot of stuff there".
There's a bunch of model ships, the largest of which (the Shadow Broker vessel) is on the desk, a console and some PADDs scattered around. That's not counting the books and the space hamster nearby.
Now I'm wondering what the empty frame is actually for now......
If we play enough DLCs, will Shepherd's cabin fill up with momentos?
Currently, I have a Prothean silverball, the Dog Tags from Liara and the N7 helmet from Normandy Crash Site.
It is quite crowded, yes. Sometimes I imagine Shepard digging through all the stuff on her desk before she finds what she's looking for.
I hope that the picture frame is for Shepard and her LI - no matter who it is. I'm just unsure if Bioware is able to do that. But I like the idea of Shepard's cabin filled with personal things as it makes her seem that much more "human" and easier to relate to. It'd be really great to have something from Ashley or Kaidan.

I'm hoping that all the tat we've accumulated throughout ME2 and the various DLC makes its way into ME3. I like my toy ship collection...

Sorry, I'm obviously having a slow day. Are you saying there's another picture frame, other than the one on Shepard's desk? I can't work out where you're on about from the conversation/pictures. The one on the desk currently has a picture of Ash in it, is there another? I'm confused...
It's alright and yes, there are two. One on the desk near Shepard's bed:

And one on the desk where all the model ships are:

Certainly no less plausable than how Shepherd starts out in ME2.

Since Ash mentions that she learned hand-to-hand combat I think it would be cool to see her use it in a cutscene. Her assault rifle could jam or run out of ammo and she'd revert to beating someone with just her fists.
Heh, I've been of the opinion that her combat AI should be somewhat like Grunt, in that when equipped with a shotgun she'd charge into close combat and attempt to melee, if the enemy got too close. Of course, her skill set and especialy her character power would have to accomodate this, giving her increased health and melee damage.
Too many of the current Shotgun using squaddies are too fragile for proper close in work...

Great idea, Quaay! I'd love to see something akin to FemShep fighting the Shadow Broker. It'd also fit her character very nicely.

On another note, (separate post for a separate idea), I don't expect the DLC to be Kaidan-Ashley centric. IMO, Cerberus/Alliances issues are one of the larger subplots in the ME universe that need some resolution. And, from what I remember pursuing in the forums, many people want to see that DLC.
But there's no reason Kaid or Ash couldn't be featured, and have character development, and have their relationship healed with Shep. Like Liara in LotSB. Finding the SB was the focus of the DLC, it just happened to have Liara in it.
Sorry I lost track of this thread, so my response to this post in particular is a little late.
I agree with you. The "gap-bridge" dlc will be (in my humblest of opinions) an Alliance/Cerberus storyline with Kaidan/Ash as a sub-plot.
I am still of the the mind, that it has been planned all along (much like LotSB) and we will see it some day.

Could be said that the normal geth were also on virmire observing the heretic ones. They see Kaiden/Ashley left behind and pick him up before the bomb blows up. In the dlc, you team up with the live one to find the assumed dead one. Story wise though bad idea. Since it takes some of the drama away from ME1.

While I've thought that something like this is possible, in theory, and while I'd love to have both Kaidan and Ashley at my back as squadmates through the majority of ME3 when the time comes and have them both have their unique personalities back, it would really, really cheapen Virmire, which is pretty much the only unwinnable situation I can remember from both games. (And it's legitimately well represented.)
So as much as I want 'em both back and in character... I can't really get behind this.

The squad member who died at Virmire, needs to stay dead. Horrible as it sounds, it would just cheapen the whole thing.

Same here would love the dead person back but would cheapen the story.

I can see your points but it all depends on if you play the game for story or gameplay. Whilst it would ruin the point of the hardest decision in Mass Effect 1 and leave many plotholes. It would be great to know that the member returns in Mass effect 2 or 3. I think I reset my XBox 4 or 5 times just trying to get both of the members through.
P.S While we're on the Virmire Sirvivor catagory, it would be nice if Wrex was a DLC or a Mass Effect 3 member.

Wrex can be dead by the first game, and has an established role. Perhaps we could have a DLC concerning the krogan and the genophage that also involves him, and perhaps he'll alter the course in a major way, but getting him back as an ME3 squad member isn't going to happen.

Eh. Too feminine of Shepard's count, if Kaidan is the love interest.
Unless of course, it's Kaidan in the nurse's outfit.

And a hug for the friends, like Liara got from my Sheps.
