Kaidan and Ashley in ME3 Wishlist

Then, in ME2, they are the only teammates who have apparently turned their back on you. Liara and Wrex may not be able to join your team, but they are busy doing important work, and do not call Shepard a traitor or walk away when asked to join your team. Only Ashley or Kaidan are portrayed as great big meanie-head jerks who will not swoon over Commander Shepard the way every NPC is supposed to, and exhibit loyalty and strong morals by not wanting to trust Cerberus. And so the character that didn't get knocked off in the last game, is now given a new reason for being hated and maligned by those who didn't already want to nuke them both.
So are Kaidan and Ashley fans being told that we're wrong for liking them, and we flat out picked the wrong characters to romance, if we wanted a satisfying conclusion in that department for Shepard's story? I can buy that a good story can have a dark middle section, but for all the other people who have chosen a love interest other than Kaidan or Ashley, there were no consequences to working with Cerberus. They all got the cool ship, the awesome crew, and cuddle time with their chosen love interest at the end of this part of the story. Liara fans are about to, hopefully, get the same kind of reward. Are Kaidan and Ashley fans going to continue to be ignored and dismissed, in the name of "emotionally engaging story telling?" Because ME2 hasn't delivered in that department for me, yet.
I will be incredibly disappointed if by the time ME3 comes around, we learn that Kaidan and Ashley fans really did make the "wrong" choice, because they are not as popular or flashy as other characters. Please let the fans know that you are listening, Bioware.

No disrespect to the OP, but I've done my research and your statement that this DLC is 4-5 hours long is false. NOWHERE has a developer stated that this DLC is 4-5 hours long. I think you are misleading people a bit and should go back and clarify that it is just speculation and not anything confirmed.

Kaidan and Ashley have been the most abused characters from the beginning, and it's time they got a break. They are the only characters in either game who HAVE to die; you can save Wrex, you can have a flawless "suicide" mission. Only on Virmire are you forced to let a character be eliminated from the game. This leads to much more animosity being heaped upon these characters than any others, as seen in any "Who did you kill on Virmire" thread. Maybe it makes it easier to justify killing a character when they're painted in the worst possible light? Who knows, it just is amazing how much hatred people profess for two characters who did nothing to deserve it in ME1.

I tried finding the specifics of the SB DLC myself and when I couldn't find it, I rewrote the OP. Yesterday.
I also addressed the issue on pg. 4 of this same thread. Check 7 posts down from the top.
I'm sorry for stating something I thought was true and not being able to find the exact post.
Could this issue please be let go, and please let future posts be on topic. Thank you.

Thank you, TeenZombie. A lot of people categorize/stereotype Ashley as a racist, and Kaidan as a wuss. Doesn't help that we have to leave one behind on Virmire, and the survivor gets a lot of flack for Horizon. High-quality DLC featuring these two characters, that mends some of the emotional issues between them and Shepard, will make a lot of people's hopes rise for ME3.

My male Shep has no LI in ME1 and ME2, so can I romance him after waiting 3 years and longer.
And pls BW don't let me see him 2 minutes in ME3, just so you can kill him off in a cutscene.

and on a side note: i understand that renegading kaidan or paragoning ashley (is this truly only something maleshep could do?) is not a flag. but am i wrong in thinking that choosing anderson or udina for the council was also not flagged? they simply had you "choose" that in talking with miranda at the beginning of me2. i don't see why they couldn't have a similar trigger worked into the narrative. it would assume that people were being honest about what they did, but hey, if you decide to not roleplay it consistently going forward, that would be your choice.
and @ catabuca: i would want to add that while i really don't want to see kaidan/ashley getting rescued by shep once again, if that is the only way to get them a DLC or resolution or anything, i'll take it. that would be small potatoes as long as horizon gets made up for somehow.

This.
And didn't Bio-ware say there would be consequences for being unfaithful in ME3? That alone should say you'll ave some kind of interaction with your ME1 LI in ME3. No one knows if interaction = romance yet but you can't completely rule it out.
As far as being forced to leave Kaidan or Ashley behind..What would be the fun in having all squadmates be immortal? None. At least IMO. That choice wasn't made to screw over Kaidan/Ash fans, all your other squadmate could either be dead, left behind, or not yet recruited.
Its not a matter of being ignored. Bio-ware has said you'll have some sort of reunion in ME3, its a matter of K/A fans wanting Bio-ware to cater to them and give them their romance/closure here and now.

Well, hey, like some of us were saying, it would probably be a good idea to have the virmire survivor's story come to a satisfying conclusion for all people who played this game.
Thanks for giving your support to a Kaidan/Ashley DLC

as far as that stupid ME 1 LI having impact on ME 3 garbage goes I did not play ME 1 but for a few mins so that stupid insulting b*tch Ashley and that insulting little piece of human waste Kaiden can both wash the boots of my male and female Shepard. but their actions on Horizion must be dealt with. Bioware protected them just like they did that punk clown Anderson. Oh ok good i have my reunion in ME 3 I still want to murder them both

you are welcome because what went down on Horizion was garbage since you were restricted as a Shepard from responding

Can you trolls kindly find somewhere else to hate? This isn't requesting for us to be catered to. This is us asking to be treated like every other LI fanbase has been treated. So far we haven't.
I have an opinion that differs from yours, so I'm a troll?
Has Bio-ware said they won't give you K/A DLC? We don't even know the extent of the "romance" LotSB offers yet.
