Let's see... you're coming into a thread where people are kindly asking to be treated similarly to the Liara fans as far as dlc is concerned and saying that you want the chance to kill the VS and rekill the one that died. Yeah, I'd say that's trolling. If you don't have anything to positively contribute then why are you bothering with this thread? It's pretty safe to assume that you wouldn't buy VS dlc, so why are you bothering?

If can not kill them myself then I damn sure hope my ME 2 LI Miranda and Jacob murder them for me. Bioware wants to make choices real well then the choices of NPCs make also should have the same power and pay back is a b*tch

This proves what I said exactly. If you aren't whining and shouting you've been ignored, you're a troll.

All I'm saying is that maybe you haven't been "ignored" and maybe Bioware hasn't gotten around to you guys yet. Hell they're just now making Liara's DLC and VS DLC would be harder because of have to record Ashley dialogue, Kaidan's Dialogue, then you have to take into account dialogue for people who didn't romance either of them and vise versa. Whereas with Liara you only have Liara's and Shepard's. Make sense?

Then we're reaffirming their decision that making a dlc is a good idea. This thread hurts nobody, so I don't see why coming in and being hateful is necessary.

look, truly, some people dislike ashley and kaidan and whatever, they're entitled to that. after horizon, some people hate them and want to kill them. i find that sentiment to be a little, ah, renegade in the extreme, but whatever.

the point here is that an ashley/kaidan DLC is needed in some form and resolution with the VS is needed. if some people hate kaidan and ashley, fine. so long as they support the idea of a DLC, that's valid. they can just put in their 2 cents that they want to option to tell them off and move on. fine.

so if you're here to bash on Kaidan/Ashley's characters, please find another thread to do so on. however, if you're here to say horizon annoyed the heck out of you, great. if you're here to say you want a VS DLC to resolve that, great. if you're here to say you want said DLC to let you kill them - meh, i dislike your way of thinking, but heck, that's your wish for the DLC as as such, it is valid. we'll add it to our list:

* please a virmire survivor DLC
* please a chance to discuss horizon
* please a chance to resume romance
* please a chance to tell ashley/kaidan to **** off for those who didn't like them.

and now, can we please go back to getting names and ideas added to this list rather than bashing fictional characters? thanks.

If you start off your post in a thread that supports the idea of a VS DLC by quoting someone who stated that they want to put a bullet in Ash or Kaidan's head, you shouldn't be surprised.

No, actually it doesn't. You'd also need someone to record Liara's dialogue, take into account the people who didn't romance her and one's that did. It's essentially the same.

Reaffirming is absolutely fine. What isn't fine (At least in my eyes) is everyone shouting that the VS fans have been ignored. You don't know if you've been ignored yet. Thats what all the Liara fans were saying before the DLC annoucement and yet we have Liara DLC.

I admit it. I absolutely can't stand Kaidan or Ashley. That has no nothing to do with what I'm saying. You're dragging us off-topic.

VS haven't been ignored, at least not yet. Liara fans said the same thing when they played the game and landed on Illium.

I see a trend here.

As for being ignored, it has been mentioned before but:

* The Kaidan/Ashley was the first/second character you meet, the ONLY squaddies forced to join you at any time. And yet...
* The one of the duo MUST die. This makes them interesting, but harder to create from a dev point of view. We realize this. But...
* This person rejects Shepard harshly on Horizon, calling them a traitor and breaking ties with them. There is NO way to interact with them after that (unlike Liara)
* This person, if romanced, sends an email that you can't reply to.
* This person is totally off the grid following Horizon. You cannot find out where they are.
* The VS had NO hidden dialog files like Liara did, thus no hint that they were coming back in DLC or anything upcoming.
*The VS was not featured in a comic book (like Liara was, thus showing she'd be carried over).
* The VS was not mentioned by KAsumi, who did mention every other LI, including Liara.
* Absolutely NO mention has been made by the devs to the VS specifically. All "romance options will carry over" could be seen as relating to Liara.
* The devs take fan feedback seriously (see garrus/tali); and while Kaidan and ashley have a dedicated fanbase, it is smaller in number than other fans (mainly because most of their fans do not fall into the typical game demographics, i suspect, but this is based on polls that may or may not be accurate)

Basically, you have this very central character falling totally off of the map in ME2, with little to no info about what will happen next. the devs have been completely silent on the subject. now, perhaps we'll be lucky and they are playing a surprise awesomeness close to the chest. in which case, rock on, but we still would LOVE a little reassurance that we haven't been forgotten.

if NOT, then please don't forget us, the VS is loved and we're still here rooting for them.

and as for asking for something for ourselves specifically, i do not see how this goes against the point of these forums. if tali fans are asking for a date DLC, then it seems totally reasonable to ask for a DLC that clears up what happened to the VS after horizon and possibly sets shepard's loyalty to the alliance or cerberus once and for all.

Good luck, then. You feel that not getting DLC for your favorite character when and how you want it is being ignored? Fine. There's nothing more to discuss, is there?

As far as the DLC, I'd love to see more DLC even if A/K aren't my favorite characters. More DLC options is never a bad thing.

What Sage said is true. That's why the VS fans feel ignored. Every character (especially the LIs) has gotten more the the VS.

So either we make a thread asking to not be forgotten or we "have faith". Given the track record, I think it'd be better to make a fuss and be seen rather than do nothing and possibly get nothing.

VS haven't been ignored, at least not yet. Liara fans said the same thing when they played the game and landed on Illium.

Casey Hudson stated that its not intended for every player to like every squadmate.  There's a variety so that people can pick and choose who they love and who they hate.

But look at it this way.  There are a number of fans who have been quite devoted to their ME1 LI of choice.  They waited 3 years for the next installment.  And for 2/3 of the characters, it was really a very brief and heartbreaking experience.

We Know that this is the middle act of a 3 act play.  We know that its darkest before the dawn.  And we know  that we have been told that there will be a continuation of our romances in ME3.

But that's another 3 or so years in the future.  That's 6 years all together for us.  I'm not trying to be whiny or complain.  If done well, then the Horizon scene will fit in well in the story.  But right now for those of us who are dedicated fans of Kaidan and Ashley, its a very difficult time to be a fan and a very long wait.  So we're just asking for BioWare to give us a little something to help us through until then.  We don't want the resolution to our story now.  But a nice intermediate story that contributes to the overall plot and allows us a better interaction with our LI is all that we ask.

Hopefully you are able to be mature enough to respect that.

Maybe it's just because I don't care for Ashley or Kaidan and that's why I don't get that sense of being "Ignored."

I don't really see how any fan of other LI have gotten more than you guys except probably Liara fans.. Garrus fans got like 2 lines of dialogue and a cheesy romance scene. Or was being able to use A/K a huge deal breaker for you guys?

Anyway, I'd see some more DLC even if it is A/K. I get so bored playing ME2 20 times other with the same content.

We had a crappy cameo where our LI yelled at us and Shepard derped off. Both Ash and Kaidan go cross-eyed in their cameo and have shared lines. Even people that hated them know that they're complete opposites. And then the other LIs get a romance scene and dialog and the opportunity to bring their LI to their cabin. Liara fans will get to continue their romance with her.

So the VS fans are wondering if we've been forgotten for the reasons that Sage said. Maybe it means nothing to people that aren't VS fans, but try to see it from our point of view.

TeenZombie- I have to say that your Ash/Kaidan Bash Bingo chart is made of epic win... that IS indeed every ridiculous reason for hating Ash or Kaidan that I have seen. When you look at that chart, it makes you realize how childish some gamers can be...

And I agree that Ash/Kaidan romance fans have received little in regards to acknowledgement as far as romance subplots go. I strongly hope an Ash/Kaidan DLC comes in the future. I want to reunite with Ash again! I also have a FemShep who wants to see Kaidan again in the same light!
