I don't like this idea at all. Posted ImageBioware already is/will make us pay out the ass for DLCs that "expand" the storylines. First Liara DLC for ME2 then Morrigan DLC for DA:O? In my opinion, Bioware should leave the overall plot intact when releasing DLCs and instead further develop it in the sequels (ME3 and DA2).

Well, because of PS3 version, DLC is delayed? no sense. There are few teams in mass effect 2 port to PS3 is as easy as xbox 360. Anyway, unfortunately, we won't see any DLC until the end of 2010. The devs have basically said that there's more bridging DLC to come, but they'll be released less frequently now. I wish the developers would be more specific. "More" could be just one more bridging DLC or "More" could be 2-3 more bridging DLC. <_<

I actually had a dream about a Virmire Survivor DLC being released... now I'm kind of depressed to find it wasn't real.

Less frequently? We've only had LotSB so far. That dev comment sounds like we've already had more than a few...

It does make you wonder what they're up to, but yes they've said since LotSB it will be less frequent and seeing as we still have a long time til the third game its gonna be long-ass waits in between :'(

But taking that in mind it better be good when it does finally come out lol

DLCs allow BioWare to develop ideas that they didn't or couldn't put into the main game.  Through this development and feedback, it provides practise for ME3 to make it epic.
And what is the point of purchasing DLC if it doesn't fit the story?  It's pointless to me, anyway.  I am willing to pay for something that took extra effort on their part, if it will make me happy on my part.

Just read the first page and this idea came to me, apologies if it's been brought up already:

In ME1 you were originally put forward as a SpecTRe candidate because of your performance on Elysium/Torfan/Akuze, showing you possessed incredible skill, bravery and the ability to get the job done. Looking at the events of ME1, it seems to me that both Alenko and Williams showed much of the same traits, especially on Virmire where both were more than willing to sacrifice themselves for the mission.

What if the jobs that they've been doing for the Alliance in the past 2 years have been building up to SpecTRe candidacy? If you still have an alian-led council in ME2 you have the option of being re-instated, maybe they could add the option to the other choices with DLC and then have you take the VS on a test mission (i.e you play Nihlus/Saren to their Shepherd/Anderson).

I know everyone wants completely different missions for each, but it might not be feasible from BW's point of view (if the DLC is to be the same size as LotSB then you'd have 2 missions of half that size if they're going to be individual).

Anyhoo, just thought I'd put this out there. Again, apologies if the idea's already been brought up, but I think either of them would be great candidates for the 2nd human SpecTRe Posted Image

I think my Shepard will need the council on his side in ME3, so a DLC to rebuild bridges with the council and have his Spectre status fully reinstated would make a great DLC. Shepard status as a Spectre was only partially reinstated.

Of course the Alliance and the council have to have on of their own accompany me on this mission, enter Ash or Kaiden :) What this mission might be is hard to think up. Maybe take down a Cerberus base? TIM already hates me and my crew. Why not make him hate me more?

I had a similar dream once, but it turned out to be a throwback to the days of 16-bit gaming and had Jazz Jackrabbit/Tyrian-level graphics.:P

Course they do, they're awesome. They were our original companions. They're not Cerberus. And their LI's. Very good ones.

Perhaps you prefer the ME2 companions, i prefer my original posse

"VS DLC?"

"No, sniper rifle."

"VS DLC?"

"No, multiplayer."

While I do like these promised toys, I feel like what we have here is a failure to communicate.

It would be nice to have DLC featuring more diverse scripting for the two characters. Perhaps if they're feeling ambitious they could have different missions for either character, each involving their past.

On the other hand, maybe these are distractors for the awesomeness that will be VS DLC?  :wizard:

I would think that that the VS DLC would be even more ambitious than even the Lair of the Shadow Broker because of the fact that Ashley and Kaiden would be totally opposite to each other dialogue and personality wise. I have a hunch it will take them a little while to get it off the ground and we probably won't hear anything about it until after Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 is released. Oh, and by the way we now have 533 people in the Kaidan and Ashley DLC Support Group! Keep the faith people! We may see something yet!

If BioWare decides to do a VS DLC then hopfully they'll remember that - I'm tired of seeing them meshed into the same persona.
