Oh, and because of this there is still hope for this DLC to come out. Just F.Y.I.
Agreed.
At least we now know to possibly expect VS DLC between February and November now. That narrows down the possible waiting time.

You know what? I reckon the next major DLC will be out in February/March.
Think about it: September--February/March = 5/6 months. Then from February till November, it's 10 months. So there might be yet another major DLC between February and November--the halfway point would be July/August.
Then it would be a 5-6 month wait for ME3. That would be good spacing between major DLC, I think. And with the way support for VS DLC is growing (comments on Facebook, within the forum, and the growing number in this group), maybe it's possible to expect something.
IF (emphasis on IF) we're being optimistic.

I think that's an erudite hypothesis Brodyaha.
Thank you! ^^
I now think March/April would be more optimistic to expect the next DLC though, rather than February.
By then, PS3 gamers would've had 2-3 months to play ME2. I think PS3 gamers would be rather angry if DLC was released just after they bought the game. Then they might be thinking, "WTF? Why wasn't this include in January? Bioware sucks!" Then BioWare might get angry posters on the forums.
So it might be more like 6-7 more months before the next big DLC, at minimum. But then, if the last DLC were to show up in August/September, then it's not too long of a wait till ME3. And I'm sure BioWare would get a crapload of people buying any tie-up DLC to prepare for the epicness that should be ME3.

I have to agree with Collider - it's a very well thought out theory, Brody.

Although I think the expectations could be a bit too optimistic. ;(
Let's start a discussion--it's been a while since we've had one, and having a discussion might keep this thread going alive and in a positive direction.
Here's a question:
After seeing the awesome ME3 trailer, how has your vision of a DLC featuring Ashley and Kaidan changed?
Discuss!

I'd like to have the DLC happen with enough time for any reconciliation to truly sink in. It would be akward for both parties if things were smoothed out right before it hits the fan.

I'm just a bit worried about how much time will have passed between ME2 and ME3. If we do not get a DLC to at least reconcile somewhat. it might strain the relationship between Shepard and Ash or Kaidan even more. Also considering that we did not have the option to reply to their message or talk to them after Horizon. Maybe too much time will have passed.

It's like you read my mind.
I'm going to go ahead and speculate that the events we saw in the trailer, if they are relatively in game are some time in the future - because the Reapers would take awhile to get here no? If a couple more years down the line Shepard and Ash or Kaidan haven't reconciled then there is no point. I'm talking romantically here.
Yes, they had a brief, somewhat intense relationship and may have even loved each other very much. But then Shepard died and in the next two years Ash/Kaidan moved on. Then they have a brief reunion where so much yet not much was said. Seems to me after their email, any Shepard would at the very least put "talk things out with Ash" on their list of sh*t to do, most likely pretty soon after defeating the Collectors and maybe after helping Liara. If it's not on the list, then I would say it never would be, which would make it ridiculous to get back together with them much later on as now BOTH of them no doubt would have moved on.
So I'm hoping for a resolution of some kind either in some great bridging dlc or at the very beginning of ME3, which will hopefully, mercifully take place right after the end of ME2.

Even after the ME3 reveal my vision of a Kaiden/Ashley DLC has not changed. In fact, it was reinforced. We'll just have to see how it'll be played out (no pun intended of course).
Yeah, I kinda feel the same way too
But I do have one more wishlist to the dlc (there's alway's another 'one more...'

You guys read my mind.
There's only so much time Kaidan or Ashley could grieve for Shepard, romantically involved or not. But why get back together with a person who says they're dead for two years, then doesn't reply to a heart-felt email?
This is why I'm hoping the timeline for ME3 is relatively close to ME2's ending. I don't want to think years have passed (I know BioWare fast-forwarded the time-line for ME2), but it takes a while to kill Reapers, Collectors, and build a team. Maybe 6-8 months? With Horizon's events happening at the half-way point? And if we get ME2 DLC with them, the faster we can reconcile with them.
I'm hoping that the events within ME3 itself take a while--that's why the Reapers are attacking London? Maybe that event occurs near the end of ME3. And during all that while, Kaidan and Ashley are my Shepard's squaddies again.
