The Citadel would be a perfect start for the DLC in the Presidium with Anderson or in the bar where the janitor because there is nothing except the janitor and drinking.

But the mission should not take place at the Citadel.

Virmire would not be bad but what else can I make the fallen pay their last respects because it would be a really short DLC.

I've just played the Liara download, and now I really want to get dlc of Kaidan. I know everyone is upset that Kaidan/Ashley is not longer in the intro for ps3, but that's just to make Liara's role more believable as the one who brought Shepard back for new players and not because Kaidan and Ashley have been sidelined, I hope and try to believe that anyway  Posted Image  I'm sure they'll make up for it, they have to Posted Image

I played me1 because I wanted to get Wrex even though there was hardly any info on him, it was just enough to make me curious, but I totally fell for Kaidan and created a me2 playthrough where my Shepard stayed loyal to him.

At first, I didn't see Kaidan as anything more then a bit player because I hadn't played me1 yet when I played me2. I played me1 and it fixed that.  But it'll be a bit different for ps3 or users that will never play me1, that they'll play me3 and end up wanting to romance Kaidan/Ashley.  I'm sure that their stories in ME3 will be quite epic that new players will have to fall for them.  Maybe, even the option to break up with me2 love interest will carry over into me3 so that you can pursue Kaidan/Ashley.

And as a player who started from me2 (blashempy), not knowing the back story of Tali/Garrus didn't stop me from thinking that they were pure awesome and that's because their me2 story was so involving.  So hopefully, the next chapter in Kaidan and Ashley lives is pure win too.

Kasumi and Zaeed Massani has attracted a lot of love and they're dlc characters, so I don't see Kaidan and Ashley having a problem attracting new players through a download.

TL:DR
- I'm sure Bioware hasn't sidelined them, just wanted Liara's story more believable. I'm sure that they have a great epic story for Ashley/Kaidan planned for me3 or possible download, that new players and old will fall for them, like when I thought Garrus was pure win even though I played me2 first and didn't know his backstory.  So hopefully, the next chapter in Kaidan and Ashley lives is pure win too.

Also, really want a Kaidan DLC because I can't wait til me3. Just continuing a romance with Liara is just evil if you can't with Kaidan. And I won't think the worst until the worst actually happens.

I like the Citadel, and it'd be nice to have additional space considering ME2 made it seem so small. I like Virmire in theory, not so much in practice. Jump Zero could be interesting, but might lean in favor of Kaidan over Ashley.

Klencory I like for its potentially awesome creepy factor, but I'm not sure we'd need that in a VS DLC.

So I think my choice here would be that I'd like to see Arcturus. It'd fit well with an Alliance themed DLC, too.

Awesomely put, Fire.

Klencory would be awesome creepy, and potentially revealing about the Reapers, given its description in ME1.

Jump Zero favours Kaidan over Ashley in terms of significance and backstory.

Arcturus Station is Alliance, and fits awesomely with Alliance DLC.

The Citadel would be cool to see, given how small it was in ME2. (I want to see the Presidium again!) But seeing a new place would be better, IMO. Virmire...well, maybe. I would want Shepard to show some remorse over having to leave Kaidan or Ashley (or at least give the player the choice to let Shepard show it).

Oddly enough, I really don't want to go back to Virmire, although I've seen a fair amount of support for the idea on this thread. I don't want to give the wrong impression: Virmire in ME1 was epic and nail-bitingly painful at the same time, and certainly one of my favourite parts of the game.

A return to Virmire? I just can't see that working. What's left there but a crater? What possible reason do we have to go back, except to relive old memories? And if that's the case, can't we visit a memorial or something?

I'd rather see something on the Citadel or Acturus where we've got a larger plot going on, but there's a memorial to the Virmire Casualty (maybe just a memorial to dead soldiers) and the DLC takes a couple of moments out to revisit what happened. To give the feelings some air. If it came partway through the DLC then it might be the first step towards healing the gap between Shepard and Ashley/Kaiden.

NB: I've been following this thread for ages but just don't comment very often *at-all* on forums. But yes, count one more supporter.

Yeah, I would also like Ashley's sister to confront Shepard, and it'll be especially awkward if the sister found out Shepard had a romance with Kaidan.  This would be a great angsty moment for a paragon or a chance to act like a complete renegade ****.

I don't know who would confront Shepard on Kaidan's behalf though. Insert random family or ex-girlfirend that broke her arm who never stopped loving Kaidan despite fearing him, and never got a chance to say she was sorry for spurning him.

Yes, I'd love for it to start out with you meeting Anderson for drinks a la the end of ME1, then cue an intrigue-focused mission with more spaces on the Citadel and possibly an Alliance station.

Yes, the Presidium and the Citadel in general.

Maybe we could also meet some NPCs from ME1 as a nod to the game.

That would be great I would like to visit again, Dr. Chloe Michel Doran and Rita / Jenna.

I would also like to see again the Flux since to play Quasar, so I can improve my money.

Whoa! That's not too bad at all. The Kaidan and Ashley DLC support group now has 606 members! What more proof does Bioware need to show that there is both support AND demand for this DLC? Answer is that they shouldn't need any more proof if they're paying attention. I have no worries though. There have been some subtle hints that it will happen. We just have to wait until after the PS3 release of ME2 before we'll get ANY new DLC news. As the old cliche' says, "Good things come to those who wait." B)

We had several suggestions for potential areas to explore and play a large role in the DLC:

- Citadel (wards, Presidium, other new areas)
- Virmire
- Jump Zero
- Arcturus Station
- Klencory

Which one of the above is your personal favourite and why do you want to see it?

I am very curious about Arcturus Station and wouldn't mind seeing it in a DLC but I don't want the Kaidan and Ash DLC to be completely about politics, of course that may be unavoidable since they are our Alliance connection.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of the Citadel but only as a starting point or ending point, I kind of found the whole Citadel thing on ME1 kind of tedious.

I really want a Kaidan/Ash DLC that has the same feel to it as LOTSB, they really set the bar high with that one.  I love the action, new places, the emotional aspect and the attention to Liara's personality.  I love that we got to see where she lives and the importance Ilos holds for her, things we wouldn't see in normal gameplay.  I would really like a glimpse into Kaidan/Ash's personal life.  I just really want them to have the love and attention Liara got, is that asking too much?

Not at all. I imagine that's why they said that DLC would be less frequent but of high quality. I'm sure it took A LOT of work to get that kind of results. They know people will expect that same level of quality for the next DLCs. Just hang on and expect something after the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 is released.

Oh, one other thing: when it is released a new type of ammo power would be nice and would be cool nostalgia throw back from ME1: Explosive Rounds, for Ashley of course, and make sure the DLC can be played only AFTER the Suicide Mission is complete.

I don't know, for a new power gained from Ash, I think I'd love to have Immunity back. Seriously, can you imagine the damage one could do with immunity and a cain? Awesome!

Hi all, I have been a lurker here since before the release of mass effect 1, I have never felt the urge to register my games in order to post, however I would like to add my voice and support to this group/thread. I have been checking this thread weekly in the hope that there would be some news regarding a VS dlc would be announced. I along with most other posters on this thread was very dissapointed with the tiny roles they had in ME2........ but I am not going to bang that old drum. I await an awesome piece of DLC and shall return to my lurking.Posted Image
