Kaidan and Ashley in ME3 Wishlist

OT: I've thought about the Bonus Power thing quite a bit. Note that it would still have to be suitable for use pre-suicide mission, since a new Shepard would have access to it. Therefore it can't be game-breakingly strong.
For Ashley, a couple of possibilities spring to mind. Immunity and Explosive ammo as mentioned above, but I'm not quite sure how well they'd work. Immunity - how would that be different from Fortification, Barrier or Shield Boost? If it was actual (though temporary) immunity, then it would be functionally similar to Tactical cloak, but I'd like something to give a new spin on things. Explosive ammo: I see no way that wouldn't be overpowered...
My suggestion for Ash would be something similar to the overkill/marksman abilities from ME1, making your weapons work better than usual for a while and use less heatsinks. Ash does know her guns inside out, so I'm sure she could boost the efficiency briefly.
Kaiden? Sabotage *is* now Overload, so that won't work. I'd like him for a tech bonus whilst having biotic standard powers though, so I'd suggest something like deployable cover, which could be cool if well implemented. (Other than Damping, I can't remember any other ME1 tech powers that didn't make ME2)
Whoops, the lurker made a wall of text. Sorry guys...

Fine, I'll hang around for a bit. My fear with forums is just that I'll start posting far too often, and end up failing my degree or something.
Consider this: I'll post from time to time on this thread if an idea catches my attention, but for the most part I'll be in the background. I have read all of the past 88 pages you know...
One final idea for now: I feel that the bonus power of the Virmire Casualty (Kaiden in my case) should still become available to Shep at the end of it, I'm just unsure how to prevent that coming across as *Ooh, random bonus power!* It would need to be introduced somehow (without resurrecting the VC).

ME3 is someways off and there has to be something to do between now and then.
I would prefer Earth based locations or bases.
We've seen the entire galaxy, but not really stopped off to look around our own home?
Doesn't even have to be Earth itself, just something unquestionably Alliance related.
Explosive ammo, that sounds interesting.
Immunity was a favorite of mine, it was my "can't touch my health" power.
Well, I fully expect to hit the ground running in ME3.
We may do some recruiting, but I suspect most of the game will be zipping around the galaxy getting support to fight the Reaper invasion.
I'm hoping ME3 is like a large DLC, it just loads into the ME2 gamestate and continues from there.
That way, I have all my mined resources, upgrades, enhanced Normandy SR2, level30 Shepherd/squadmates, my collected armor and weapons ready2go.
I'm going to be very miffed if I can't carry my favorite arsenal into ME3.

I think that since Kaidan and Ashley are a straight-up sentinel and soldier respectively, they should have access to the unique class power(tech armor and adrenaline rush respectively). Though I admit I don't know how they would implement adrenaline rush on a squad-mate.

Tbh I personally don't care where the vs dlc takes place, though some of the suggestions in this thread are awesome. So long as the dlc handles the integrity and continuity of the characters well ( and a little bit of romance) I will be happy. I thought that the lotsb dlc was excellent and if I had been a liara fan I would of been very happy with that.

Instead it's a pivotal moment in the story where Shepard is captured and exposed to the public as being alive and working with Cerberus and suddenly he finds himself in a public trial being charged by the Alliance and the Council on the grounds of high treason.
Hence he has to find any and all people who can defend him and who better than Ashley/Kaiden the Alliance marine who served with him two years ago. In terms of gameplay I figure it could be one of those 'non combat missions' you know like talking to Morinith, following the Turian politician or helping Kasumi steal stuff.
As you look for evidence to clear your name, prove Project Lazarus and the Collectors were real and prove the real risk of the Reapers and you have no choice but to rely on a former ally/lover even after things have become somewhat tense. True enough eventually the relationship's old sparks flair up again as you come closer and closer to fighting through the tangled web of politics to prove your innocence as well as Ashley/Kaiden's crisis of faith and loyalties coming into play as well.
Got the idea when I heard about how Anderson said that Ashley/Kaiden was gathering evidence to support you to the Council (apparently if you select the 'I thought we were friends' option when talking to him). To me this just seems like a great idea and maybe a fresh more in depth angle of stroy telling rather then relying on mindless killing.
Plus it means they wouldn't have to make two drastically different firefight scenarios, one for a soldier class and one for a biotic (i.e one where Ashley is useful and one where Kaiden is useful) and finally it would be very big and significant as a bridging gap in Mass Effect continuity.
Plus it would mean we could hang out on the Citadel and I could potentially live out my dream of seeing this picture:

Be made reality....
What say everyone else?

Wow I guess I wasn't alone in the shadows huh? I think it's great that us lurkers are temporarily emerging from the shadows to add our support to this group.
XD Nope we're here. This DLC is one I'm really looking forward to. I'll be disappointed if it's not done.
I agree with JasonSheploo on the powers. Kaidan should have a Tech oriented power but the problem is that most of the tech powers form ME1 were transferred to ME2. The good ones anyway.
Ash's is spot on. A temp boost in damage, accuracy and ammo would be nice.
Oh and Val your not hated. You dont have to like the characters but others do. I'm afraid I have to agree to disagree but at least you spoke up. *looks at other lurkers and grins*

Kaiden's abilitys could be tech armor, incinerate, upgrading, and some this else?

(unlurks as well)
This.
I love V-rex's concept of Kaidan/Ashley helping you clearing your name and at the same time rebuilding the relationship, but I would also have at least one really good fight (perhaps at the end, when you want to finally collect some sort of crucial data), with the VS at your side. (In ME 1 I had Kaidan with me almost non-stop.)
