After this suuuuppppperrrr long wait, can you imagine how we'll all feel once a new DLC is announced?

if from outside your window you hear what sounds to be a very girlish 'eeeeeeeee!', it will be mine

For the OP, I have a request for update.

I want Ashley/Kaidan( or Kaiden<_<) to acknowledge that your LI died.
I found it stupid for Liara not to acknowledge my LI death in LotSB.

I will say it again. In my mind Ash and Kaidan have been ignored in me2 and all dlc. When they were mentioned in lotsb at all it was negative. They were pushed to the back in that stupid comic also. I think in any VS dlc they should ignore everything else they way they have been ignored. I also would love it to be a solo mission for shep. No other crew involved. Just Ash / Kaidan and Shep. Thats how I think it should be.

Whoop! I go away for a while and discover that we've reached 99 pages!

@Mesina2 OOI, did your LI die on the suicide mission?

For the record, and since I like to keep people's hopes up: It's unfortunate, annoying, etc, but not that surprising that Bioware paid so much more attention to Liara in the comic than K&A. She was essential to the plot of ME1. Kaiden and Ashley, although they were a part of the plot, were about as plot necessary as Garrus or Wrex.

HOWEVER, I do feel that this could have been handled much better by giving K&A a brief bit of characterisation before the romance and Virmire decision. 3 lines each would have been enough. Otherwise, PS3ers are left with a couple of choices about characters that they barely know.

And they do now appear to have corrected the Kaidan misspelling. Overall, I think this is just another case of K&A being overlooked (sigh) rather than being deliberately written out. Probably because Dark Horse comics did too little research.

Anyway, PS3 release is now, so optimistically, we might hear about DLC in the coming month. Hopefully.

Optimistic not-quite-sure-I-can-call-myself-a-lurker-anymore JasonShepard signing off.

PS "A good kid"? Try to listen to it as "A good man" instead. Works so much better.
PPS Chignon I love that pic.

Edit: LiamN7, I also support the idea of a "Shepard and *just* the VS" style mission. Like Kasumi's thing.

If there are a few requests for this, then I will definitely put it on.  When I update the OP, I try to update it with things that most everybody can agree on.

Alternatively, if a lot of people don't want the option, then I don't put it on.

Besides, it's a very general wishlist in the OP.

Something that should be rectified by a VS DLC or a role that does both characters justice in ME3.

Ash is clearly not putting up with **** anymore. Ten dollars says she's the lead pitchfork carrier when the VS fans finally storm castle Bioware.

An excellent idea.  Not least because I think it would be a bad idea to trust angry!Ash with fire.

Ash and Kaiden are like Jessie and Woody they are left to gather dust while Bioware goes off and plays with their new Buzz Lightyear action figure.

I don't like buzz and right now I don't like bioware. Tired of being ignored and then when we aren't ignored treated badly. It is BS.

Pffft!  Why does Kaidan need a torch?  He can use his biotics.

Joking aside, I know a lot of us are sad about how Kaidan and Ashley have been treated--from Horizon, to the lack of DLC, to the PS3 comic, etc etc-- but perhaps we should get back on topic with requests?

I am inclined to agree.  But I can't help if wonder if Virmire was a tough decision for a reason.  It was also put into the PS3 comic for a reason.

Which reminds me: I would like to see some reminiscing about Ashley and Kaidan in DLC.  Maybe by Kaidan or Ashley themselves, as well as Shepard.

At 100 pages(near as dammit) I would hope Bioware can see the strength in feeling about these characters, and I would hope it when the DLC finally arrives it will bring on board some of the many good ideas such as one centered around dialog(but not exclusively so), (I do understand it would be more expensive what with all the time for actors voice work) But I feel anything less will just continue to marginalize 2 central characters. The ones which could be considered most normal.

Going back into lurk mode :)

I still cannot stop laughing...talk about a picture being worth a thousand words!

Now back to OT requests: Some sort of reminiscing about Ashley or Kaidan would be the only real way for PS3 players to get a sense of each character.  Unless the player does some digging outside their game, the VS will be seen as "some human that wouldn't help me with what I needed" rather than a distinct personality.

OH MY GOD CHIG IT WARMS MY HEART TO SEE YOU SHARING THINGS I POSTED IN THE KAIDAN THREAD I FEEL SPECIAL (though it isn't my artwork).  But yeah... that piece of fanart represents what has happened to the VS beautifully, IMO. It's one of my favorites.  Ash's face is priceless.
I never even thought to post that over here when I posted it initially in the Kaidan thread.  Good call. :o

It does seem like the VS got kinda a raw deal in ME2.

I mean, they were the first person you recruit in the game, long before the aliens and extralegal humans showed their face.

Which, to me, shows they need to continue in some form.

We'd don't need a whole epic saga the size of a ME game, but we definitely need to get started on the road to bringing them back into play.

Most likely, I would prefer the VS DLC sets the way you will deal with them in ME3.

You can mend the relationship/become good buddies (or more!), keep it professional or choose not to be involved with them any more (Paragon, Neutral or Renegade options).

Like Liara, I'd prefer that they're standing around in a location you can revisit whenever you choose, just to emphasize the fact that they are still there and aren't going anywhere.

And yes, Ashley does look about ready to snap that platform off and send them to the floor.

Okay, because I'm so often off-topic in here, I'll return with an on-topic wish.

What I would like, more than anything is for Kaidan and Ashley DLC to be written with the same care and creativity that was lavished on ME1. Don't get me wrong, I really like ME2 and a lot of the characters there, but everyone from ME1 became a new person in ME2. I hope that whoever writes the VS DLC goes back and revisits the ME1 conversations with Kaidan and Ash: I'm pretty sure those talks are why we all love the characters, and I'd hate to finally get VS DLC only to have it turn out like the PS3 comic.
