I recently downloaded the 360 patch (yeah I know, a little late, haven't played ME2 in a while), and I also bought the Overlord and Kasumi DLC. Sometimes the game would freeze at random, mostly during loading screens but sometimes even when I'm just walking around. So I would have to restart and hope it doesn't freeze again, which it usually wouldn't at the part I was at. But when I played the Overlord DLC it would always freeze when the screen goes black after you destroy the geth cannon outside the Prometheus station and get out of the Hammerhead. I cleared the cache and didn't redownload the patch, and it hasn't frozen at all. So my question is am I going to have to live without the patch or is there something I can do?

Edit: To clarify, the game would freeze at any point in the game, not just the DLC missions.
