I surely hope not. There's too much of that in real life, no need to bring it into my games too.
fixed it for you.

I also heard Duke Nukem Forever will be shown at PAX. Meh, I'll believe it when I see it for both.

Then you're really not gonna like the part where a Bioware rep forcefeeds it to you.Daur wrote...

BioWare employees (or an employee) have (has) made arguments defending a hypothetical lack of homosexual romance options, but there has been no confirmation either way.

This time, I hope its not. In other Bioware games, our characters were more malleable, so it wasn't as disturbing to hear that a person could make a gay character. For example, it didn't bug me in DA:O, KoToR, or the sort-of-gay(alien physiology thing) in ME. However, imagining the tough and macho looking hawke as gay would be sort of disturbing.
1. The Hawke character should be malleable. The trailer gives but one version of him.
2. Are you implying gay people can't be though/manly-looking?

Anyway, as far as I can tell they've been avoiding talking about companions all together thus far, let alone romance
options (except to say that you can't romance your sister, ofc). Even if there aren't any homosexual LIs (but I'd be surprised if that were the case) you could just not romance anyone, this is roleplaying, after all.

My statement may have been reading between the lines a bit.

Yes, it sounds to me more like Gaider is covering his bases if the Dragon Age 2 romances don't include M/M as a possibility. For all we know, it may not have even been decided yet in a final way.

That is... very critical of you. Macho =/= not gay. Likewise, flamboyant does not mean 'bends over and takes it'.
