My statement may have been reading between the lines a bit.

I remember similar posts by Mr. Gaider from the time before the DA:O release. Even after the ESBR spoiled the existence of same-sex romances, every Bioware employee was very elusive whether this meant f/f; m/m or both. I think that the only source revealing the existence of a full m/m romance was a Russian blogger. Right now they are covering their bases, because
a.) Optional content like a romance are not finished enough to be sure that they will be included.
b.) They like to torture us.

There may not be an in depth male/male romance option in DA2, depending on how things work out in development, from what I've read on these forums.



However there is this quote from the FAQ.



"You will be able to engage in romances with certain NPCs in your party and throughout the world."



"Throughout the world" there's got to be one or two men who like men willing to jump Hawke's bones.

Hmm, well this brings of the question; what is happiness, really? Is it merely the contrast of sorrow? Without sorrow, would it even exist? If so, how would we know it?

How can Hawke truely be happy, be gay and all, without also being saddened or agrieved?

Shepherd was more defined than Hawke is (according to Mary Kirby) and he/she could romance whoever they wanted. I don't see why Hawke is any different.

And besides, I don't think it's that big of a deal to have the option in-game. Some people want their Hawkes to be gay. Why? Does it matter? I imagine mostly for RP purposes, and how people imagine their individual Hawkes to be.
