And I've never understood people designating one of their playthroughs as more "canon" than others... Unless it's another way to call your personal favorite Shepard?

I agree with this I can't go through the game and take it serious with sheploo standing in. I have to make my characters custom.Count Viceroy wrote...
Lol, sheploo looks retarded.

Then I can pretend all those trailers are me...
that and I can't create a decent looking custom character to save my life.

My 'canon' playthrough is the one save game that does everything (...EVERYTHING) paragon and leaves no planet unturned, and will get carried through each Mass Effect game.
The other playthroughs I just stuff around with, and don't usually carry them over. Well that's the way i treat it anyway. The others are 'pretend' playthroughs, that didn't 'really' happen.

After about 50 tries I created a Shepard face i'm happy with. The one issue I have come across during creation is that sometimes how it appears in the editor is different to how it appears in game. Like in the editor the cheeks look perfect, then when I get in game I have cheeks that could double as tusks.
And fifty?!
I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous, good sir. Admittedly, it only took me no more than three tries to get my Shepard correct in-game and in editor.
I just can't understand how one can have this much patience to make a character and still have something wrong.

I don't have a picture of my old Shepard, but here's a link to the face-code I applied to my imported femShep using Gibbed's Save Editor: http://www.masseffec....php?faceID=474
My femShep is named Talia though, which is totally unintentionally similar to Tali's name... had I known that there would be a char named Tali, I would have chosen a different name, but i'm not going to tamper with my savegames apart from that face-change
Also: I only have one Shepard.

I don't play male Shepard (tried starting a few but for me it's just not Shepard), and all my FemSheps use the same custom face I made for my first playthrough (but not one I had carried over from ME1).
I never use the default Shepard. This shepard picture above looks really similar to my old shepard , except she has green eyes
