Why does everyone hate poor Samara's cleavage so much?

Her outfit is pure fanservice.

2. The setting is space. War. Danger. Hazardous environment. Her outfit, like all female squad members except for Tali, doesn't fit at all.
I just want a battle ready looking squad and Samara, as much as I dislike her character, looks like a ****. Jack is crazy and troubled, so her first outfit has some justification. Her loyalty outfit is already covered and the alternative one is IMO fantastic for a unarmored. But Samara and Miranda need a real combat suit.

Its not that we would be offended by it.. its just that its simply unrealistic.. look at most if not all games which got females in them.. how come that males tend to have good steady armor while most females might as well fight in a towel or a bikini which is considered to be good armor for them?
Its jut stupid seeing this type of stuff in a game like ME.. its pretty much at the same level as removing guns with unlimited ammo only to replace them with limited ammo weapons.. like wtf?
Samara isn't an ordinary woman. She's a Justicar. She's a highly trained warrior-monk with substantial biotic powers. Anyone who's used her on the last mission should be aware of the strength of her Biotic barriers.
That's like complaining about how it's unrealistic that Shale is naked in Dragon Age, despite the fact that she's a Golum!
I don't believe Bioware made her outfit with Fanservice in mind, (see Miranda) but I do thing many of the board users are over-sexed.

I know.. thats why I had her do the shield during the last mission.. but its still silly to see her wear such a outfit.. if her shields are down then thers nothing between her and a bullet to the heart/head or pretty much any other body part..Blk_Mage_Ctype wrote...

Sure you could say that its a different culture which someone already brought up.. but then, why do strippers have more cloths on them then this mighty Asari whos supposed to be something like a super cop..
Heck, I can't actually thinkg of a single Asari that would have even less on them then Samara..
As for DA.. I have yet to paly the game so I have no idea what a Golum is.. But I do belive that BW is making those costumes only to appeal more to the male audience.. Sex sells and BW knows it..

Well I suggested an answer to that near the bottom of the previous page...

Granted, but in a game where armor really provides no boost to defense it makes no difference. When Shepard's shields go down, bullets hurt him just as bad as they do Samara.
Because Bioware is too afraid to put nudity in their games.
Sorry, I misspelled that... I meant "Golem"
Incase you still don't know what a Golem is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golem
And here's a picture of Shale... (Believe it or not, Shale is female...)

For me, it makes little sense that a warrior goes to battle in an outfit better suited at a fetish party. Hell, coming to think about it, also Miranda's alternative suit looks like a pvc suit. Seems like entire concept of armor was lost between ME1 and ME2.

It seems a "Burka appearance pack" for the ME2 female squadmates should be available to fulfill the wishes of some players. Make it an armored burka so it looks more "realistic" in the fight scenes.
thats a stupid idea. but once again the cry babies and whiners are never happy unless a game is to there liking

I (young, male, console gamer) would have liked her even without the cleavage because she is useful in combat, and gels with my Shep's moral code. I also think she has a beautiful face. I hope they know that she didn't need the bewbage to be awesome.

This. Welll, except for the fact that I like her character. But otherwise this.
The armors in ME 1 were ugly, but at least Ashley and Liara didn't look like Shepard's stripper entourage.

Samara's chest looks like two balls of blu-tac pinned to a chest.
But they're pinned to her stomach, not her chest. Maybe that's why people want them covered up.
