I actually like how Hawke is going to have a family. Family usually makes for good drama.
Another meh to the game-forcing us to love Hawke's family

I like that my PC will have familly. When I played BG I always liked Gorion, and I was sad, that he died( really). Also I liked very much Imoen and, if it was possible, she was always in my team. Also Kordaris, even in Poland, it's not "normal" , that parents gave theirs cash to 30 years old son, for as trival things as PC games..Maybe instead of waste yours time with console or computer go to work and help yours parents hm?

Did I already post in here? Oh well, if I did then oops. Who says you're forced to love your family? No one is.
You can be a complete jerk if you want and pretend that your character has deep-seated psychological issues because daddy Hawke beat him or because mommy Hawke liked Bethany more - whatever. *snort* Just cover your ears when the cinematic plays in the game & you can make up anything that you want.
Sorry, but even elves have families too...and dwarves...darkspawn, well, not so much. The point is that most people DO have families, like it or not (even in a fictional world, let's face it: biological reproduction exists). Or would you be happier if all PCs in every game were orphans raised by flying dogs in the Anderfels and NOT their actual parents?

There are flying dogs in the Anderfels? I'd love to have a character raised by such magnificent beasts.
On the note of family: This is a Heroic Fantasy, like DA:O. You couldn't just slaughter everyone just because. I imagine there may be an option to tell Bethany to gtfo at some point after she's rescued from the blight, but what hero (even an anti-hero) would leave their sister to die at the hands of Darkspawn?
And why would you want to get rid of her anyway, she's effing gorgeous.

It's quite normal. Most of older people have rents from communist times, while young ones often don't have any money due to lack of work. Also Kordaris, even in Poland, it's not "normal" , that parents gave

Ah yes, I forgot we live in magical world where you just say certain words and magical wizard gives you work.Maybe
instead of waste yours time with console or computer go to work and
help yours parents hm?

Sure. That's why we see government representatives running around socking nosy reports in the face 24/7. Yeah, no.

My former Prime Minister decked a reporter, and he was universally loved for it. Heck we would have elected him again if he hadn't retired. People love seeing people get what's coming to them.[quote]
